Windows Photo Viewer would not show the actual image but Sykes only, what is the problem here?
I just can't see my pictures in thumbnails or even cases its not show!
The thumbnail cache may be necessary compensation if it has become corrupt.
Open the computer and right-click on the boot drive (c :)), select Properties.
Click Disk Cleanup and allow it to scan the drive.
In the resulting list to clear the cache clear all outside the thumbnails option, and then select OK.

Win Windows 7 photo viewer will not open the .psf files
Windows Photo Viewer does not open. PSF files from Epson?
Programs can recognize only the files they are supposed to use.
In the case of the Windows Photo Viewer, the official documentation says that it can display the following types of files (although you can add a little more by installing one or more codecs- LINK):
Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG)
.jpg and .jpeg,
Tagged Image File Format (TIFF)
. TIF and .tiff
Portable Network Graphics (PNG)
.PNG
Graphics Interchange Format (GIF)
.gif
Bitmap image
.bmp and DIBs
HD Photo
. WDP
Do you really mean PSF files? As far as I can tell, a PSF file is probably an Adobe Photoshop proof Settings file.
If you mean PDF files - which are outputs to any scanner - you can view these last with the free Adobe Reader or Foxit Readerfree software, among others.

Dose of Windows Photo Viewer does not work! Why?
My local disk C: / was full, so I moved my default folder for programs install on my E: /. Then the folder of the Windows Photo Viewer and others have been moved automatically to the new folder. And now my windows photo viewer will not work. I don't know exactly when he stopped work because I don't use very often, but it's after I've changed the default folder. Now of poliovirus Sauvage just dose not load. I opened image, it loads and dose not open anything. I have install Picasa because I thought that I can't use the wild poliovirus. But the dose of Picasa is not working too. It makes a black image and a unknown title. Is there a way to fix this without a computer preinstallation mt. Thank you. I'm really sory for mistakes and the gramer, but I'm not talking about English country.

Windows Photo Viewer does not properly after installing Spyder 4 Express
I installed Spyder 4 Express. Open photoshop and got message this - original use - incorrect color profile so used original and all the images look OK. But the photos opened through Explorer files (correct thumbnails), but when I preview with Windows Photo Viewer, the images are all very tinted orange. I then removed Spyder 4 Express hoping to remove the colour profile info, no luck. All other photo in other software and wallpaper moniter views are correct. What should I do to correct the display color in the Windows Photo Viewer.
Hello
Thanks for posting your concern on the forum.
According to the description of the question when you preview with Windows photos Photo Viewer are all very tinted orange. Maybe this is a chance that display drivers are getting corrupted or need to be updated.
As you are referring to the Windows Photo Viewer, I suggest you to check the Windows Photo Viewer is defined as program default for Open the images. You can follow the steps mentioned below to check that.
Press on the the window key + W.
In Search box type in default programs , and then press enter.
Click on Sand your default program.
Now right-click on the Windows Photo Viewer, and then select set this program as default.
For more details, you can refer to the following Microsoft article mentioned.
Choose the apps Windows uses by default
If the problem persists, try to update the drivers and install Windows updates. Drivers are updated occasionally. Windows can update automatically, or you can install the drivers updated yourself. It is important for you to have confidence in the updated drivers that you install. Windows warns you if it detects a suspicious or dangerous driver, you should not install.
Download and install the drivers
Hope it would help. If problem persists always post back with the current state of your computer and the result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to help you.
Kind regards

Windows Photo Viewer - impossible to resize the window
original title: Windows Photo Viewer window control
When you view a picture with Windows Photo Viewer, it always opens in the mode full screen. The window rolls back down, but then resize by dragging the borders and all the tools are out of reach. However several times that I close the program "restore down", (even by using the CTRL, main and making it last window close) it's always back to full screen for the next time I open a photo with her. I tried to adjust the resolution but it did not help and the resolution is fine in all other respects. Any suggestions?... Thank you

Windows Photo Viewer does not not and open pictures
I did a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit last week. I had Win XP and started all over with Win 7. I installed everything on my PC and everything seems to work except the photo viewer. I can't open, and it is defined as the default value for all the photos. When I opened a photo, I'd get a COM surrogate error and another window on this error asking if I'd like to send information to Microsoft. I clicked Yes and all the errors disappeared. Now when I open a photo I can see the thinking of system and then nothing happens. I tried the following command to test / fix.
Used paint to create multiple documents of different types (jpg, bmp, png). None of these types is open in Photo Viewer.
All other PCs on Win 7 in my house can open the same photos very well so I know that they are not damaged. I have the shared disk that has pictures on it.
Run the SCF/scannow - this has not fixed the problem.
Installed to the Windows Photo Gallery - this has not fixed the problem.
I noticed that Windows error reports an APPCRASH whenever I try to open the photo viewer. There is also an Application error reports Windows error that says that there was an application error for dllhost.exe.
What should I do to fix this? Can I reinstall the photo viewer or do a repair system?
Previously, did you use

If not, you will need to check with the manufacturing of your computer for win 7 drivers available for your video / graphics card...
