• EL CAPITAN - when in safari Apple toolbar is not visible

  I tried this and do not find any answer to El Capitan and NOT the FULLSCREEN MODE. When I open safari, NOT full-screen, the Apple toolbar is not visible (the one with wi - fi, Apple, file edit, history etc.). The only thing visible is the bar with red, yellow and green circles. If I click on the safari window in another program, it comes back.

  Most solutions speak to exit full screen, but I'm not in full screen - I have several open small windows (safari, word, etc.) which are all on the desktop at the same time.

  I spent hours looking for this. One solution was to repair permissions, but has no El Capitan - it is built in.

  If anyone has a solution for El Capitan, I would be very grateful.

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in the Preferenes system, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test.   I just got a new iPad 2 Air, drag and split screen works well, but I can't get Safari to work in split view and have two windows safari side by side. I should be able to hold on a link and get the "open in split view" option, but this option is not there.   Until I look crazy, my Mac Book Pro (end 2011) is still running. Today, I already had some running applications (Safari, Virtual Box, etc.). When I tried to open a new window, Safari said "no internet connection".  I shut Safari and attempted to restart.

  FYI - I have Remote Desktop running and was able to connect to a machine on the Internet, however, I can not start any application, Console.

  Recently, all of a sudden, my Facebook tab appears in every Safari single, to the left. This new Facebook uber-tab is very narrow and only displays the logo of Facebook.

  Have you been tab window/Safari/Pin? Control - click the tab, and you should get an option to remove the tab.

  I don't understand the difference between "windows" and "tabs" in the sense of Safari.  Here the example (see photo), I tried to click with and without the command button and options, and it seems to make no difference.  I see the links opening in tabs all the time but I can't understand how or what means open in another window?  Is - this another instance of Safari?  Thanks in advance.

  

  This means that they open in a new window - similar to if you have Safari open with a few tabs and then click the file menu > new window. You'd then 2 Windows Safari, one with the original 2 tabs and a second window with a tab. You can move between the 2 windows through the Safari 'Window' menu item

  Everytime I open a new window Safari I see this. This happens only on my MacBook Air, not on my iMac (the two 10.11.3 running). How can I open a new empty window without the sidebar?

  It was reported a recent bug - a solution until it is resolved is to go to settings > Safari and disable the Suggestions of Safari.
