WIndows Server with multiple IP addresses in different VLANS

What I'm trying to achieve: -.

A Server Windows 2008 R2 Virtual machine with of 6 vNIC each with an IP different address of VLAN different & connected to the corresponding ports on VIRTUAL LAN group.

Now how to make sure that traffic is properly flowing as traffic for VLAN specific are coming and get out of that vnic so that it can flow through port designated group

As a single gateway can be mentioned, I guess we need to add static routes for that to work, but if it's static routes, then please explain to me how these roads will need to be added for each IP address.

Or if there is another way to make her even if you please let me know.

Thanks in advance...

I was wondering what I really need to add roads since I am not asking that two different VLAN is talking to each other. Guess that's when I need the static routes.

I guess in this case if I have 3 NIC with 3 different IP addresses would not be the traffic corresponding VLAN will come automatically the corresponding card.

That would not be in the range 1.2.3.x traffic flows automatically NIC1 & 5.6.7.x runs automatically NIC2 & etc.?

Yes, both of these tools have a CLI, so you can make scripts, here is the manual of the CLI server administrator as is the monitoring tool.

  • Server with multiple network cards

    Hello

I have a server with multi-port NETWORK adapter running ESXi 5.5.0

Can anyone remind me how to allocate a VM to port a network?

or point me to the URL of the full help?

    Thank you all

The c# Client is that you need to install on your windows computer. The alternative would be the Web Client vSphere. Both are essentially 'vSphere customers. "

Anyway, you don't need to restart. You can change the network as you want without having to reboot.

  • A Windows Server with direct access to a VMFS LUNS can climb the PowerCLI help?

    Hello

I wonder... a Windows Server that has a direct access to VMFS SAN LUN cannot mount this partition using PowerCLI?

    Has anyone tried this before?

    Thank you

    -virtualhobbit

No, that goes up the data store you specify (MyDS in the example, but you change this name).

But the copy of a large VMDK on that provider is not a good idea.

As you run the script on your PC, it will go on the network.

As long as you have no functionality to copy at the end, an alternative is to copy the VMDK from the console with the ESXi vmkfstools command.

    See KB1027876.

The problem is that you must be able to mount the destination locally on the node of ESXi to avoid going on the network.

  • LUN with multiple IP addresses

I have two questions actually. The first one being: I have a machine running OpenFiler with 3 iSCSI targets. This machine has two network cards with its own IP address. There are two ESX hosts. Currently in each, I added a new datastore VMFS among those LUNS and then added two more as extensions to this VMFS datastore. This is reflected on the hosts and all using only one of the IP addresses of the exploitation of SAN and openfiler Vmotion between two hosts. Could I take a host and add the LUNS through the second IP address and ESX still not see it as a shared storage for as each host could access the same LUN via treated separate IP and have still Vmotion works through them? If so, exactly how this would and would there be predictable performance/stability problems?

Second, what sort of questions would be that we are facing if I place a second physical machine running OpenFiler and added the LUNS on this second box as extensions to the same data store? Theoretically, this should create the massive data store over two physical and accessible machines as a store of data shared by both ESX hosts. Thoughts?

NOTE: I know that we can paste the two network cards in the SAN, but we had a lot of performance/stability problems when we had the machine running a linux distro standard with servile NIC and an NFS share as the data store. I also came across reliabillity issues when you try to bond in OpenFiler where I could access the web interface and then it would become randomly inaccessible and then later come back online and back. Whatever it is, we are witnessing a DRASTIC increase in performance on this unique nic with openfiler LUN iSCSI on any other scenario, we had Setup.

In fact, Yes. Make sure that IP addresses are on different subnets for interfaces A and B:

    ESX-VMK1 192.168.100.5 = talk to SAN-NIC1 = 192.168.100.254
    ESX-VMK2 = 192.168.200.5 talk to SAN-NIC2 = 192.168.200.254

Under NO circumstances should you use the same subnet for the multiple interfaces...

If you have TWO ESX hosts, you can cross-available network cards so HostA 'prefer' subnet-1 and host b "prefer" subnet-2:

    ESX-A-VMK1 = 192.168.100.5 talk to SAN-NIC1 = 192.168.100.254 (preferably manually in the LUN path)
    ESX-B-VMK1 = 192.168.100.6 talk to SAN-NIC1 = 192.168.100.254

    and

    ESX-A-VMK2 = 192.168.200.5 talk to SAN-NIC2 = 192.168.200.254
    ESX-B-VMK2 = 192.168.200.6 talk to SAN-NIC2 = 192.168.200.254 (preferably manually in the LUN path)

This arrangement gives you the bandwidth "dedicated" without losing the redundancy in case a card NETWORK goes down on one of the three hosts... If the subnet 1 becomes unusable (i.e. your D-Link switch dies) then a failover to the other switch will happen auto-magiquement.)

If you find my comments useful, please assign points. Thank you.

  • Manager server with multiple instances CF10

    Hello

I'm having some trouble connecting to instances of ColdFusion I installed the 64 bit with CF10 RHEL6.1.

If I just add a single server that points to the default cfusion instance

    Host: 192.168.0.10

    Port: 8500

Server Manager connects and I can view the settings.

If I then add a second server that points to an instance newly packed

    Host: 192.168.0.10

    Port: 8501

The ability of the server to connect to an instance manager becomes poor at best. I can't do a diff of parameters if they both happen to connect.

I need to enable something specific in the admin of each instance?

    See you soon,.

LCD SCREEN? You mean livecycle dataservices? If I google (based on the message shown in the screenshot):

    double Server session manager

I get this as the first hit: http://www.shilpikhariwal.com/2010/08/duplicate-flex-session-error-in-server.html

It seems that it may be just what you need, especially in light of your next note on running multiple instances. (Not sure of the impact of J2EE session vars).

Let us know if that helps.

and apex mounted databases in the different machines?

Or it would be necessary to install a HTTP server for each instance of APEX?

    For example:

    Machine 3
    ___DATABASE A
    Machine 1 to Machine 2.
    BROWSER-> HTTP SERVER.

Yes, you can set several dads - pointing to bodies different machines/APEX - in a case of OSH.

  • How to remove the default for a limited only account gateway (with static ip address)

I have 1 pc with 4 accounts 1 account administrator and user the rest is limited accounts. I use a static ip address and the question is how to remove the default gateway on these limited account so that they cannot access the internet

The entry door is fixed to the adapter and selectively cannot set properties of the different adapter for different users, all users use the same adapter.

With Internet Explorer (does not work with other browsers), you can configure a proxy server with a fake address, you can do this through Group Policy, or you can do it manually for each individual user through the Internet Options settings.  You can set the proxy server address map of loopback (127.0.0.1) or you can set it to a bogus address of your private address range (usually the range 192.168.xxx.xxx)

If you are using other browsers, you can use NTFS permissions to deny access to the Explorer or the program directory or you can use software restriction policies to deny access to specific programs.

Alternatively, you can use a logon script to activate the network connection service when you open a session and the other to turn it off when you log, but if you do this you will disable the entire network for limited users if it cannot be a solution for them.  The script can be a simple two-line script:

    Logon script:

SC config Netman start = demand
    net start netman

    Logoff script:

    net stop netman
SC config Netman start = disabled

    These can be useful:

  • Suspected that the security fix for Windows Server 2008 R2 that affect the ODBC connection.

I use Windows Server 2008 R2 and have been able to generate the crystal report connection automatically through the (System DSN) ODBC for MS SQL Server 2008 R2.

When I perform the security updates below, the crystal report would not be able to generate automatically.

    KB2641653
    KB2667402
    KB2665364
    KB2621440
When I tried to manually generate the crystal report, it prompted me the user DSN instead of the system DSN which I was their use without problems so far.
Therefore, I created the user and system DSN in the ODBC DSN and so able to invite me for connection (System dsn) but not with the ODBC connection id I created.
Everyone has experienced problems connecting to ODBC after this hotfix was updated?

  • Random WSAECONNREFUSED on Windows Server 2012 / IIS 8.0

At our hosting provider, we have a server running Windows Server with IIS 8.0 through VMWare 2012. It hosts several web applications. In addition, FTP is running on port 21 on FileZilla Server. Since last August, apparently at random, the server sometimes refuses the connection on port 80 and 443 (WSAECONNREFUSED). He never refuses the connection on port 21. To give an illustration of how randomly, it is: it's happened to every day this week, but it never happened two weeks before. We cannot find anything in the IIS logging. The only thing we can find is that when you connect via port 80 (or 443), even on the server itself on 127.0.0.1, it usually works very well but sometimes WSAECONNREFUSED begins to appear between successful connections. Both, we and our host so far haven't a clue what is the cause, but other than that he's a suspect that it happens on the ports used by IIS, but IIS or the Windows event log will never make anything. Our hosting provider is a clone of this server on which we have disabled most of the web applications. This clone has the same behavior, even at the same time. A third server, which is entirely new (and running Windows Server R2 2012) does not show this behavior. All three are on the same network. After two months of research we have not still find something. Pointers are truly appreciated, as these errors are a problem for ourselves and for our clients.

    Thank you.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • Desktop remote access simultaneously in windows with multiple session in Windows Server 2008 support?

I would like to have a remote desktop solution that allows me to connect to remote computers even while users are connected, with the help of another session. The idea is that the user working locally in the remote system can function normally undisturbed by the remote user.

I have tried TightVNC , but I couldn't understand how to enter an independent session.

I am using Windows Server 2008 and I want two users access to the server with two different sessions as remote users.
