• Windows Sidebar is broken!

  Whenever I start my computer, the windows sidebar is displayed, but all the gadget display disfigured and glitch. I tried to remove the gadgets and re-installing them, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

  My Windows Sidebar works, but gadgets are not - the clock is all black with no numbers or anything like that and other gadgets are just little white boxes with nothing in it.

  Step 1: We recommend that you first of all to you to delete using the McAfee McAfee removal tool. To do this, follow these steps.

  2. run the tool to remove the McAfee software.
  3 restart the computer for changes to take effect.
   
  Step 2: Try to uninstall and Restore gadgets and check the result. To do this, try the following steps.
  1. at the top of the sidebar, click the + to open the Gadget Gallery.
  2. right click on the gadget and then click on uninstall.
   
  Note: If you uninstall gadgets that come with Windows, you can restore them to the Gadget Gallery by following these steps:
  a. open the properties of the Windows Sidebar by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel configuration, on appearance and personalization, and then click Windows Sidebar Properties.

• Calendar Windows Sidebar gadget is orange and no date

  I have a HP IQ506.  When I'm in my screen, the windows sidebar calendar comes with the computer is visible but is orange and not dates.  When on the screen of my husband, his calendar appears as it should.  How can I get my calendar to show up properly?  Help, please.  I'm so frustrated by such a stupid gadget.

  If it's just the calendar gadget that gives you trouble, you should be able to simply re - record a single. DLL to rectify a calendar gadget that looks like this,

  
  First remove the calendar gadget existing, and then click Start or press on the key and type cmd but don't hit. Search for CMD in the list above and right-click and select run as administrator. Provide the credentials if necessary.

  The open command window, type.

  Regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
  ... and click on . You will receive a popup confirmation as follows,

  

  Restart the computer and add the calendar on the desktop gadget. It should now work as follows,

  Oepn an elevated command prompt.  To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right clickguestand then click run as administrator.

  Type the following command and press ENTER:

  Regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll

  You should see the following message after running the command:

  DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.

  Out of the Windows Sidebar and re - open again. To exit Windows Sidebar, right-click on Notification of Windows Sidebar icon and chooseexit. If this does not help, restart Windows and see if the calendar Gadgets make properly.

  -In addition, if necessary, please test this under an alternate user account.

  I just installed a new antivirus-Sophos which automatically uninstalled my previous installation of McAfee that came with my Dell laptop.
  Am running Vista SP2 32 bit, Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, @2 GHz T6400.
  After installing antivirus and subsequent reboot, my sidebar is displayed and so do the gadgets, but they are all "corrupt" and not displaying correctly. For example, the clock is dark, and change the opacity does not allow me to see the time. Calendar, notes, and UC only appear as a vertical white line. None of them appears correctly.
  Help, please.

  Click on uninstall to delete a calendar on the Windows Sidebar and delete both. Cannot find to re-download a calendar.

  The site of Microsoft for Windows Sidebar, I looked the other day, warned that Sidebar was officially abandoned due to security risks potentially serious. What I was looking for is actually on my W7 ultimate OS under programs and Windows Desktop Gadgets. Can I assume that this new version provide Gadgets is now fully secure?

  Windows Task Manager the fact already and don't use not vital resources all by, unlike the sidebar gadgets and junk like Norton Utilities.

  These gadgets and utilities actually contributed to the lack of memory and CPU when you most need and as such were and still are a complete waste of time and resources.

• My camera in the s230U of twisting after upgrade to win 8.1 shows a diagonal cross

  After windows 8.1 update I can't use my camera for Skype in my S230U twist and take a snap. It shows a diagonal cross in the picture of the camera, but the camera light appears, .getting click but the camera couldn't take a picture or use the video in Skype. Any solution please.
