• Windows Desktop Search is not working properly

  For some time after 4 days my computer will be slow and does not respond well. If I stop and start again, a box appears saying that desktop search is not working properly and options to stop the computer, reboot and rebuild the index.  After that performance improves for a few days.  What is the problem?   Looks like the indexing service is not running, or stops for some reason any.  We will check the indexing service to see if it is set to automatically run first.
  Restart the Windows Search service
  Click Start, type services in the start search box and press ENTER.
  List programs, click Services.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
  Scroll down and locate the service which is the Windows Search label.
  Right-click the service and then click Properties.
  Set the startup type: automatic (delayed start).
  Click Start to start the service, and then click OK.

  Rebuild the database that is used by the search indexer
  Click Start, the index in the search box and press ENTER.
  List programs, click on Indexing Options.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.
  Click Advanced.
  Click on rebuild and then click OK to the warning that appears.
  Click OK to close the Indexing Options.
  Note: From now on, the system must re - index documents and electronic mail. However, when indexing is complete, it is likely that the performance of the system will return to acceptable levels.

  Run a file system check to ensure that no file system is damaged:
  To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
  Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
  Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.

• Windows 7 Search is not working properly

  I am running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) with Office 2007. Computer with a CPU Core2Duo with 8 GB of memory.

  Windows search does not work properly.

  • A search in Word/Excel 2007 (when you try to open a file) shows no results, only the category headers under "search again in. Only when you select search again in 'My Computer' all the files appear in the 'My Documents' folder.
  • Search in Outlook 2007 works very well.
  • When you use search in the Menu 'Start', none of the files from the "My Documents" folder will be displayed, but files everywhere else will be displayed. Do the same search and then click on 'My Computer', only the files in the "My Documents" folder will be displayed.

  I tried rebuilding the Index index, the hotfix, change 'GroupBy' registry and registry keys under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows Search] later reconstruction deletions. Nothing works.

  You can make bulk changes to file attributes by using the Attrib command via the command prompt: attrib - a [drive:] [path] [filename]

  I had these problems and many others using DVDs to make the backup of files.

  Please save you time sitting in front of the computer, the power to the machine with the DVD and the aggravation of not working do not after all.
  Invest in an external hard drive for backup of files. It is the most effective way.
  These days, a 1 TB external hard drive can be had for less than $100. It's money well spent.

• Modules window opens but does not work properly

  It started a year ago when I got FF 2.0 and I thought it would be itself correct when I updated to 3.6, but it didn't.

  I have several add-ons that I wanted to delete. When I click on uninstall, they stopped working and the window Add on said that they would be removed to restart FF, but they do not and are still visible after a year or two.

  I have no script and wanted to turn once to see if it interfered with another program. By clicking on the button disable nothing to do, so I have to click on uninstall then it stops working, and then click on disable to activate again.

  If I click on Options onno the script, it crashes FF and I have to use the Task Manager to get out of the FF.

  Is there a way to put this back in working order?

  2. did you try to burn a different CD/DVD or any other program to burn the disc?
   
  Method 1: Make sure that the CD - R or CD - RW drive is recognized as a recordable device
  To make sure that the CD - R or CD - RW drive is recognized as a recordable drive, make sure that the recording tab appears in the properties of the CD/DVD drive:
  1. click on start and then click on computer.
  2 right-click the CD - R or CD - RW drive and click Properties, and then look for the recording tab.
  3. choose the appropriate settings.
   
  Method 2: It is not usually necessary to adjust the burn speed unless you encounter problems at the fire; in this case reduce the burn speed may fix the problem. This setting applies to all burners that you use with your computer.

  If I understand correctly, you cannot use your SD card, unless you stop and then restart. Because this behavior started when you installed Boot Camp, I would start with the following steps:

  1. first of all, start by repairing your hard disk in disk utility to correct the unexpected problems that could be the cause of this behavior.

  Disk utility (El Capitan): a disc repair

  2. use Mode without fail to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, remove files from the system cache, check your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  Black boxes cover the text when the mouse passes over it; Some Web pages appear completely black; other flash between black and normal. It is also very difficult to move to the bottom of the screen.

  Looks like the Configfree does not work as it should on my laptop satellite. I get a ghost of an image icon with Summit, connectivity, profiles and Q-Connect points. I can't do anything with, then icons on the screen. Connectivity doctor doesn't seem to work. I run Windows XP.

  Toshiba use ConfigFree for years and, in my opinion, this is one of the best tools designed Toshiba. Reading your ad, no one will be able to say with certainty what the problem is here, but if you think it is not working properly it remove the system, restart your laptop and try to install it again.

  If you do not like this tool use Windows settings for LAN/WLAN configuration.
