Windows takes a lot longer to load when a raid 5 volume is attached

I am running windows on a SSD drive. It is used only to take about 10 seconds to get the logon screen when I turned on. After I added a raid 5 volume using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology technology, it now takes more than 90 seconds. The raid volume is 4 hard drives. It's just data, so I can't understand how it slows down my windows start so. Note that it does not increase the time of the machine, it increases the time from when the post load windows when I can connect.

I recently lost the raid volume and had to remove it. Starting when the volume has been deleted was much faster, even if all individual drives were still connected. When I recreated the RAID the softstart yet so I'm fairly certain it has something to do with the raid volume.

Problem: Booting into windows is OK a tad slow ish but it load the Office once it takes forever to load before you can get along with just about anything.  As you can not connect to the Internet until the Office has charged.  I don't think its something in the system tray causing lazy loading.

    Hi Steven,

It should not perform the function of the buttons on the capacitive Strip if you disable Task Scheduler fast player - however another option would be to put the service to start manually instead of automatically when Windows starts.  To do this, first enable the service from the msconfig services tab, apply the change and then reboot the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged (it will probably slow again), open windows control panel, open administrative tools, and open Services.  Find the Task Scheduler player quick entry, right click and select Properties.  In the drop-down list next to Start up type, select manual, then click on apply then Ok to save the change.  Restart the computer for the change to apply and see if the time it takes to get a usable desktop is always good - if this is the case, then I'd leave the QPTS function defined in the manual.

  • Preloader is long to load.

Since then, I've added a few FLV. files on my site the preloader takes a little longer to load, then I want. Given that (only 2) FLV files are nested within the site and they really load immediately in all cases is there a way I can have the charge of FLV files while the user is not just around the navigation, with the preloader?

    Thank you

  • Windows 7 takes an abnormally long time to load the switch user screen

After selecting change user in the menu closed, it takes about 30 seconds to actually load the screen of the user on the switch.  Meanwhile, the screen is black and there is no mouse cursor.  I don't remember it takes that long in the past, but I can't be sure.  It doesn't seem fair that it takes so long to load the screen of the user on the switch.

I recently ran CCleaner and defragged my hard drive in order to fix this problem without success.

Any help or input is appreciated.

My system takes 20 seconds for the closing of session and prepare for a new user. A lot depends on what must be stopped as to how long it takes, and all systems will be different, so there is no default time. I also have the black screen and no cursor...

CCleaner and that ilke programs rarely fix anything and are more likely to create new problems rather than fix the existing problems, this is why I say "do not use".

Disk Cleanup is a safer way to get rid of some unnecessary things.

/Sfc scannow will replace the corrupted system files

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium, how long will it take to run updates and it will take a lot of bandwidth?

updates after clean install of Vista Home premium

I plan on upgrading the hard drive on my laptop two year old, which will require a clean install of Vista Home Edition full.  I live in a remote with the satellite internet service.  I would like to know in advance what will happen after the installation with the updates of the program.  I will ask you to install them? It would take a lot of bandwidth?

    Hi EllenCB,

Welcome to Windows Vista community responses.

Once you make a clean installation on your hard drive is erased. Now, when you install the operating system return updates that have been deleted will be delivered by Windows update to install on your computer. To save time and bandwidth, you can directly install Service pack 1 and Service pack 2 for Vista which would contain more updates. Of course when you run Windows update and when you try to download from the internet, your download speed will decrease. It is best to keep your system up to date which will allow your version of Windows to run better.

Before installing the update, run the checksur tool, this tool is running an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations. Download the tool from the link below.

  • Windows 7 and update MSSE take a lot of time

Hi, I have reinstall my windows 7. But, when I try to check the updates he comes to see the verification of updates for a long time. I'm trying to update Microsoft Security essentials too, but it just search for updates and it takes a lot of time too. But, when I restart the Windows Update service, and then start the download of the Microsoft Security Essentials updates and install it, but not for windows, it keeps looking for updates when I try to update. Microsoft Security Essentials does not download the update that automatically even my computer is connected to the internet, I have to press the Refresh button on MSSE, and sometimes I need to restart the windows update service too.

When I do the update for windows for the first time, Windows update tell me to install the Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320. And install it.

    Please, please help. Any who...

Firefox has become very slow. It takes a lot of time to load any website. I reinstalled FF but the rest of the problem.
As a test, I downloaded Chrome and it is much faster.
But I love FF and would be very happy if you can help me solve this problem.

    Hi Reos,

When you reinstall Firefox it always uses your old profile with all the old things that you had. That said, you're lucky, there is a new feature that lets you "Reset" of Firefox. This will remove some of the pieces that might cause problems while it keeps your bookmarks and other important things safe.

Check it out and let me know if it works: Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

  • When I click on the icon of Firefox PSC Office takes exactly 30 seconds to load, is that at the time?

I just install Firefox and that he must start by clicking on the desktop icon for the loading of the homepage of 30 years. Tabs take only about 2 s, right?

    IE loads in 2-3 seconds.

Cold start-up is longer than IE. IE is integrated into the operating system, and a large part of the application is loaded when you start the computer. With Firefox, to load it from scratch when you start first, which results in a longer time to start at the beginning. Mozilla have sought ways to improve boot time.

  • Takes too long to Hibernate when I close the lid - also the noise of random device when starting

    Hello guys.

Since I wiped the machine, I had these two problems. When I close the lid, he used to go to bed right now, but now I see the light of sleep (and the power button), flash and flash, and then he goes to sleep.

Upon awakening, he crosses the start of lenovo screen and resumption of the windows, then it asks for a password, before I used to open the lid and he was asking me the password immediately. I know it was going to sleep because I could hear the beep immediately when I closed and opened, but now it takes just too long.

In addition, every time I have boot into windows or resume in a sleep state windows, I hear the sound of the device, like something being connected input/output. But there's nothing being plugged or back at the time. I can't to Device Manager fast enough to see who it is who is the cause.

But all the drivers seem to be correct.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sam.

EDIT: Also noticed, when the lid is closed, randomly the laptop turns off (beep) one then turns left.

    Weird.

  • Windows takes time to stop when the computer is turned off

has had to reload xp without windows takes a long time to stop

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

You re - install Windows XP and still have the same problem?

During the shutdown of the Windows XP computer, it may take longer time to complete the shutdown process. Slow stops are caused a lot of factors. One of the causes is the clear pagefile at shutdown option enabled.

    Try the following steps:

    Use the Group Policy Editor

    a. Click Start, run and type in "Secpol.msc".
    b. click local policies | Security options.
    (c) in the right pane, set stop: clear the pagefile of virtual memory for people with reduced mobility.

However, this setting is not the only cause of slow closures. No relevant programs and Services also contribute to slow closures.

If the problem is seen recently after installing a driver software or third-party, try a system restore to see if that solves the problem of the slow stop.

It appears from the description of your problem, you receive a that,"windows\system32\qcapk.dll error' could not load.

I searched this dll file name and couldn't find any reference to it.

This is the case, looks like it was caused by malicious software.  Please take a look at this thread that was answered by JoseIbarra.
