Windows Update free 10
I upgraded to 10 when it first released 7 Home Premium, but he disliked at the time. About 6 months ago I had problems with the Home Premium so I installed the Enterprise GLVK version I think. I uninstalled 7 Home Premium, but I still have the product key on the bottom of the laptop Toshiba L775D-S7206 label. Can I still get the upgrade with this product key? Corrupted Windows Update? (Vista)
Hello
I have problems with Windows Update on a Vista laptop. When I try to open the program, all I get is a blank window with nothing to click on. No text, no button.
I know that some time ago, I created WU to do updates automatically, but I want to regain control of the update process, as WU tries to install the updates on a daily basis and fails. It takes me 15 minutes every day after the restart before I can use my laptop.
Can anyone help?
System Restore does not allow that the problem is older than the last restore point. I also tried to use my backup CD that I thought maybe I could reinstall Vista, but the laptop won't even use it for some reason any. I tried to reinstall WU from the site Web de Microsoft, but after doing so the problem was still there. I don't really know what to do!

The configuration of Windows Update loop again and again and again...
While on my computer, I received a pop-up to restart my computer for Windows updates. I fact and 2 of the 3 downloaded. For the 3rd, my computer restarts, the vista logo appears and the screen is blue saying 'configuration update 3 of 3 0% complete'. The problem is it never moves 0, constantly restarts itself and has been done for more than a week (I can't leave my computer on all day). I'm frustrated and want to come back on my computer, but no matter what I do (restart it, put it in safe mode...) it won't go past the updates configuration message. What should I do to fix my computer and have it show the office, etc. ?

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

Error code 646, Windows updated 10/13/2009
I get the error code 646 while trying to download and install these updates to the window;
Update of security for Microsoft Works 8 (KB973636)
Update of security for the viewer Microsoft Office Visio 2007 (KB73709)
Security Update 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB972581) (KB974234)I tried to install directly from Microsoft Updates but I get the same message.
I am running Vista 32 Home Premium with IE 8 and Office 2007 family/Student edition.

Windows updates not installing - is Norton 360 program defining the problem?
I have to many Windows updates that have failed. I looked but have not calculated what I might need to change settings using Norton 360 to allow updates. The PC security is set on a received updates from Windows, but it is not the case. Any help is appreciated.
