Windows Update - it gets to the final stage of the update every time it goes to "Starting Windows" and then it all comes back to the update
Original title: Windows Update keeps reseting
My computer had a mandatory update that began when turned on. Happens to the last step of the update every time, it goes to the "starting Windows" and then it all comes back to the update. Turn on the computer and then next turn has not changed anything either, and I can't after that.
Hi Reilly,
Thank you for the update on that.
Please follow the steps in method 1, by our Support Engineer Ganesh Achar B replied on 12 February 2015 on the last response.

I just reinstalled Adobe Acrobat X 1 and I can't save files PDF that is sent to me. I just get "this document cannot be saved. There is a problem reading this document (21)"and then when I click OK I get 'not enough for the image' help!
More information on this issue can be found here:
https://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1672655
A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... and download Adobe Reader 11.0 installation base.
Then download each individual updates and run them sequentially.
I installed back to the last update of security which is version 08 and were able to register under normal operations.
You will need to disable the automatic updates to keep up with the 08 version, until Adobe fixes this problem in a future release.

"windows couldnot start because the following file is missing" c:/windows/system32/config/system.
This message appears at the first start, but when I press ctrl + Alt + Delete, restart windows and then no error in config/system does finally come windows starts successfully without problem usually. I searched on the internet that all solutions are given if windows XP does not start. But in my case after restart only a single window loads successfully. I'm dubious before using the recovery console.
Please help everyone,
no case I found the solution to this particular problem. The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes pulling and buttons power).
These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else. If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).
Never, never, never start with the support engineer technical 'expert' who are hired by Microsoft to implement the KB307545. You are likely to be in for a frustrating waste of time and might just make things worse.Always, always, always start with a chkdsk with first error correction.
There is zero logic to start try to copy files to a hard drive with a corrupted file system so corruption of file system must be fixed first using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk can solve your problem completely.Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do. Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.Start the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD, or create a bootable CD from the Console of the Recovery XP (no XP media required).A CD of XP Recovery Console is not the same as the recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system. If you have any bootable CD to run the XP Recovery Console or that you are not sure what type of bootable CD you have, can create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary). If you need instructions to create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console, we can predict that too (just ask). After booting into the Recovery Console, you should be in this folder:C:\WINDOWSFor each of your hard disk partitions, you must then run:Chkdsk /rFor example, at the Recovery Console prompt, enter:CHKDSK c: /rLet chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find. It may take a long time to complete or seem to be 'glued '. Be patient. If the HARD drive light flashes, it's something. Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress. It may even seem to go back sometime. The chkdsk/r must be completed without error, you may need to run several times until it does.Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer and the report with your progress. -
I have an Acer computer I want to do a total restore. It came with windows 7 starter edition, and then I bought Microsoft word for it. If Microsoft word will lose if I do the restoration?
If you purchased Word on CD, it's no big deal; just reinstall it after the factory restore. If it was bought online, copy the file downloaded to a CD and then reinstall it later.
Is there a particular reason, why you want to do a restore complete? Have you problems? If so, you can try asking here on how to fix them and do not have to do a restore, reinstall all your programs and all of the updates and service pack 1.

I get this error every time I open LR, "Lightroom encountered and error during playback of sound preview cache and need to stop smoking" and the application does not open. He said LR would try and correct this error the next time I opened it, but the error remains. I tried uninstalled and installed the application and the error remains. I use Windows 8.
Manually delete the cache of the preview of your user folder.

How to stop multiple self-switching to the address bar every time I open a new tab and try typing something anywhere outside the address bar? As something just wants me to use this integrated search when you type something non-Web-address in the address bar and press to enter. And the most ridiculous thing is that happens repeatedly on as every second, as I just got off the address bar and start typing again, but still he passes me in the address bar, then 3, 4 times like that. And the result is that I don't see the address of this page.
I think that its has something to do with my AVG Antivirus, because it started the same time a Nation AVG started to appear in each new tab I opened (and which is irritating as me, I've read here on support.mozilla.org and it seems that the only solution is to completely reinstall Firefox, but I don't want to lose all my settings) but when I type something in the address bar and press enter It opens the search results in Google.
Please try to help me, I love Firefox but I have to switch to Chrome until I fix this.
Thanks in advance
First of all, please update Firefox 32. 22 is no longer support is not safe. So, let us know if you still have this problem. Update Firefox to the latest version
