  I chose to try the upgrade of Windows 10 on my laptop primary.  Because of the long installation times, I started late in the evening then followed finishing (or almost) the update the next morning.  Until I sat down to 'start' I spoke with a friend who had just completed an installation of two heavy day of problems.    Although I am good enough to solve computer OS and software installation problems, I was very reluctant to go forward.   After serious soul searching I elected continue to use Windows 7, I don't really like.

• Professional Windows XP search page and the System Restore page do not work.

  I recently did a clean install of Windows XP Professional on a laptop. I then upgraded to SP 3. I wanted to update some of my drivers and when I tried to open the page the system restore to create a restore point, the page is empty.  Later when I had questions, I tried to do a search and I have basically the same question. The search page opens with the puppy in the blue box, but nothing else.  Someone has seen this before and can help you.   In addition to the emission of heat:

  Two things inside the laptop generate heat - power (in the place where the power cord plugged in) and the processor.  The CPU has a heater and a fan to help disperse the heat and keep the CPU at a reasonable temperature.  Hot air is sent on the vents, and air at room temperature between in other events.
  What happens generally is dust forms near the vents, near the Airways within the laptop computer which lead to the mouths and on the CPU fan itself.  All these sources of dust cause airflow slow down, so that the hot air lingers and gets even hotter.  To resolve this problem, you will need to take the laptop apart and 'very good' to clean the dust and the CPU fan.

  Another potential source of heat which would be composed of dust problem might be software related.  More 'work' the CPU must do the most energy is needed and therefore more heat is released.

  know what to do with the files by looking at the file extension (for example, .exe for executables,
