Windows updates: seaches, never installed, 100% of the CPU on 1 of the 4 hearts, forever
I've had this problem for maybe 2-3 months already, my other laptop has it as well. I had not updated in a while so I took the time and updated and restarted if necessary until at some point, the search never stopped and after a while the ups and downs on the cpu and ram it stops with a cpu maxed out and nada. I remember looking through everything and try all kinds of possible solutions, but nothing worked - probably because it was a new problem.
I don't know what kind of information to give, then ask away or, if you have a solution, post it.

KB2887069 Windows update fails to install, even with the audio drivers and uninstalled AV
KB2887069 Windows update fails to install, even with the audio drivers and uninstalled AV.
Background: I am setting up a pavilion of 500-164 equipped with OEM specs, specifically:
-AMD/Radeon APU
-Windows 8 6.2.9200
-See sysinfo below for more details
The PC brought to the specifications of the plant, with all Windows updates applied with the exception of KB2887069, which breaks down at the update. With the exception of troubleshooting the failure of the update, none of the changes have been made. The Windows KB2887069 update fails to install as well through the automated process when tried manually via a direct download.
Additional troubleshooting measures to date include:
-Uninstall the software OEM AV (Norton), then by restarting.
-Temporarily disable all the features of Windows Defender.
-Temporarily uninstall the audio driver (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) OEM.
-Realization of an analysis of the SFC system (with no error found).
Results: The Windows Update full KB2887069 with a failed State and produced the following results.

I started a thread in another forum (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_update/i-don), but was told to start a new thread in this forum if I still need help. I still need some help, so I'm here. My original post was as follows:
My hard drive crashed. It was replaced and the outside company installed the OS for me. However, I'm in a French country and they had no English operating system share so installed the french operating system without telling me. I left it as it is that I had to install my other apps in a hurry. Now, I want to change the language of the OS in English without having to reinstall the operating system. The MS help Web site gives this page with instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/install-languages-with-windows-update, but I don't get the language packs when I click on "View available updates". How can I install the English language interface pack, if it is not displayed?
Hello
read this:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/how-do-I-get-additional-language-files
you who never read another answer you completely or correctly
you have vista Home premium and the other answer correctly indicated that you can not change the display language of vista Home premium, which is what you're tryin gto
you will need to either buy a ultimate upgrade, in french, then download the English language pack, as already stated
or buy a full vista Home premium in English

I have a problem with the Windows updates do not install it.
Windows updates do not install.
You receive errors related to updates?
- Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
- In the left pane, click view update history. http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
- Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information. Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
- In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
- Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

How can I install the English language pack if she does not?
[1] relative to the first, third and fourth link: already done - the regional formats and input languages to the keyboard/are not the problem
[2] re second link: that's where I started. If you follow the links on this page, you get finally to the page I linked in my original post, above. It says select a languge in the update of Windows
If the language you want does NOT have a downloadlink on http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/languages, what you did (for example, adding input interface & English language keyboard) is ALL you can do with a Vista Home Premium French-language version.
If you want any display in English, you need to install the English Language Pack , which, as you know, is only available for Vista Ultimate computers.
Yes, it's unnecessarily confusing and convoluted but WYSIWYG, I'm afraid. You have that would be to buy an Anytime Upgrade from Vista Ultimate, (b) a Win7 Home Premium update (and then an Anytime Upgrade to Win7 Ultimate) or (c) a full-detail of a language version English version of any version of Win7... which will be probably much more expensive than buying a brand new computer with a version of English language of Win7 preinstalled (and good luck finding that in a French speaking country).
Wish I had better news for you.

Original title: anyone know where I can find a solution for error code 8E5E03FB
I looked in the help and the Microsoft Web site in the world. I tried to startup using MSconfig, activate and deactivate services, I tried the Microsoft Update Catalog. I started by not being able to install six updates and now got it to three and have grown tired of trying to figure it out by myself.
If you have tried everything, including a repair install as stated in this thread:

Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827
I am running Vista Home Premium. Windows update fails to install KB2656368 and KB2686827. Download error code641 which seems to mean that Windows cannot identify the problem. In the past, it was caused because the installer has been damaged. In setting the Microsoft Support took control of my computer; Download a new installer and solved the problem. However, it seems that there is no way of contacting Microsoft Support for them to fix the installation program. The installation program be fixed right now. Moreover, the tool "Fixit" said that everything is fine.
Microsoft paid $99 for the support. Tech uploaded a new installer. Problem solved!
Still wondering why the question about System Mechanic?

I think I have problems arising from the Windows updates do not install it.
I can't uninstall all the programs already on the computer - I get the message "Please wait while the current program is finshed uninstall or changed" on every single program.
Also, anything with an authorisation button freezes as son as I click on it without the authorization window popping up. for example. the clock or the managed task advanced details.
This has led to problems trying to install other software for example. I tried to install a game that failed, because the .NET framework 4 would not install.

I'm running 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell Dimension E520 PC desktop with processor Pentium dual core and 3 GB of RAM.Reasonably up-to-date hardware. Well protected and all software security entirely to so far.My problem that goes from Windows Update is not install updates from 14/04/2009 and returns the error Code 80070002.I followed the advice and went in the Windows Software Distribution folder and remove all the contents of the data store and records downloads and tried again about thirty times now.I get regarding the acceptance of the license agreement and clicking on, ok, when Vista dims the screen and asks if I started it and then the error message in Windows Update, saying: "some updates were not installed."Is not a computer expert, I guess that what is described in help Windows Update error Code 80070002 is the same as 0 x 80070002 for which I found advice on a Microsoft page to save these commandsnet stop wuauservCD %systemroot%\SoftwareDistributionRen Download.old downloadnet start wuauservas a windows batch file and run as administrator.I now have a download folder and Download.old folder. Fascinating but no help at all!I infer that the numbers of 0x0 are my six error codes failed attempts to install Vista Service Pack 1, a few months ago who always ended up with an unusable computer suspended with a black screen and the white writing showing 46 thousand of 96 thousand file and something, followed by a number of 0x0.The only way I could get of these attempts was by booting from the Installation of Vista disk, masking the Service Pack 1 update and using the system restore, but that's another story.Have an impact on my current problem, I wonder? For absolute clarity are the updates that won't install:Explores update for Internet Explore 7 edition (KB963027) 14/04/2009 (Just editing that.) Typed a wrong number in a first time. Sorry).Four updates of security for Windows Vista (KB952004) (KB956572) (KB959426) (KB960803)Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - April (KB890830). (I downloaded it manually and run it from my office and we found no problem).Update of security for Microsoft Office System 2007 (KB960003)Update of security for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB959997).I'm at a loss what to try next.FYI, I use Uni-bleu Power Suite 2009, McAfee Total Protection and Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition with Ad-Watch Live on.I tried to do everything that it with Ad-Aware died, but my hunch is that the problem is in Vista ot the updates themselves.I'm quite competent with guests of orders, not to mention manually editing the registry! However, any help would be received with gratitude and I guess that if the instructions are evidence of fool I have very carefully follow step by step.
I have the same symptoms: from a distinct point in time updates of windows works more and every time returned the error code 80070002.
After a few hours, I found the solution: sfc/scannow reported the wuauclt.exe file.
And the reason was: McAfee virusscan put this file in quarantine. He is falsely W32/Generic.worm.aa in there.
Restore this file from the GUI of McAfee completely solved this problem.
10. assuming that Win8.1 is now installed, perform another manual check for updates & install all Security updates offered (if any); Follow all the instructions.
11. in response to this post with a status report. Also confirm (hopefully) that Windows 8.1 has been installed successfully.
Good luck!
