Windows Vista 64-bit does not
I have a Toshiba laptop with windows vista 64-bit. I can load up with success to the point where I can go online and run other programs, but after 5 minutes or so everything becomes unresponsive. The internet browser, the taskbar. Everything except the mouse and touchpad. Vista seems to be a bit busier than normal during this time and no matter how long wait he just still insensitive until I restart. After the reboot, it does the same thing. Start in safe mode gives no problem. I would like to find a way to solve this but have no idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi goonstwone,
Remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?
This problem may be caused by some conflict hardware or software of a third party; I suggest you try the following steps to refine the question:
Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the mouse and keyboard, start the computer, and then check to see the problem persists
If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.
Step 2: The computer in the boot and a test
Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.
Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.
After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.
Important: n ' forget not the computer to start normal follow step 7 in the link.
Thank you, and in what concerns:

Windows Vista 64 bit does not install last version of iTunes
I just updated my iPhone, the recent phone must have the latest version of iTunes installed, I currently have 12.3 but I'm unable to download the latest version, I have Windows Vista 64-bit on my desktop, can anyone help?
I don't think that Vista will support the latest version of iTunes, which is necessary for the latest version of iOS. I will check something quick and get back to you. What iPhone do you have? What happens when you try to download the latest version?

Update for Windows Vista (32-bit) does not always update
I saw the many threads on this topic; many recommend that you manually download updates, but none give instructions on how to download manually.
If I try to download something from Microsoft Websites, I get an error saying that the I do not have a program that will open the download and does not suggest which will download programs or install updates.
Is there anyone who knows the same question. I'm at the point where I'm done. I spent too many unproductive hours on it, and Microsoft does not seem to care enough to post a fix.
Any help would be appreciated!

Windows Vista (64-bit) does not start.
Last night, I installed the new McAfee antivirus due to having a virus that prevented the windows firewall to allow me to surf the net via my router (usually would work when directly connected to the modem). The antivirus has worked very well and I was able to access the internet very well. The rest of the evening consisted of me Star Trek Online patch and play a little of it and there was still no problem. my task manager on windows vista family premium does not show the tabs it used to, when I used to open the Task Manager it would be things like 'process' 'services' 'preformance' ect. in the tabs. but now when I open it it shows just a window that has two columns, one labeled task, and other labeled status. It shows what im running, but there any options at all as the winger treat ect. the window is not even an exit or minimize the icon as other windows are in the upper right. the only way to close it alt f4 do - what I do? Ive already tried to restart the computer, and I'm on the only account to administer it. I have a screenshot of the new manager of task here: http://i1119.photobucket.com/albums/k621/a_bakedpotato/vistataskmanagerisue.jpg
Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

Moderator Forum Keith has a few suggestions along this line to
If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.
You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.
Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello
AFAIK the Tecra M5 came with the graphics card Intel or nVidia.
On laptops with nVidia graphics card, you can set a different option in nVidia Desktop Manager. for example allow several computers to office
You should find it in the control panel.Unfortunately, I put t know exactly where the parameters are placed in the nVidia Manager because this notebook was shipped only with Windows XP but I'm sure that you will find.
Good bye

Im trying to install drivers for a Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 on my windows vista 64 bit computer. Every time I have try and start the download, it is said that my driver is not a 64-bit driver, which is false, and that my system is 64 bit, which is true. SO... after I click 'OK', it begins to download only to have another pop-up saying "Setup has detected that the system in use is not windows vista 64 bit" which it is. Basically its contradiction with himself. im confused.
Im running windows vista 64-bit.
I just upgraded to a Nvidia 9800GT, to a Nvidia GTX 260.
In frustration, I deleted all the old drivers, but the new will not download.
The first error says that the drivers are not 64-bit.
The second error indicates the operating system is not 64-bit.
Let the site nVidia Driver detect your video card. If it still does not work, contact nVidia for a solution... Mike Hall MVP - Windows Experience http://msmvps.com/blogs/mikehall/
