    Hi Verisetti,

Have you installed security software after formatting windows?

If so, you can uninstall the security software temporarily and check if you receive the access violation error.

If the uninstallation of security software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the software of safety accordingly. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you install the security software after the trial.

What about Windows vista product ID, you can try to validate Windows and check if it helps.

  • Windows Vista active again and again

    * original title - Windows Vista active more and more and more and (you get the idea) *.

for 3-4 months, at least once or twice a week (currently twice now with 3 days now) VIsta started in a black screen, stating that "this copy of Windows is not genuine" with a dialog box indicating the Activation succeeded.

Why Vista has suddenly decided to activate so often? OS is fully legitimate, fully serviced, all the installed updates blah blah.

As such, I have no problem with the activation screen popping up, my main concern is if the activation of MS servers decide my product key was activated too many times and decided to tell me to go away (to say politely!), which would be pretty annoying because nothing on my hardware spec has changed over the last 4 months , and the only significant change was a year ago when I upgraded my HD because of an impending failure alert (SMART State). RAM, processor and motherboard were the same items from the first installation.

Should he help diagnose etc. machine spec is:

"Northwood" Pentium 4 3 GHz FSB 533 Mhz processor

    ASUS P4P800 Deluxe

    2GB DDR1 Geil

NVidia 7600GS AGP 512 MB iirc GPU

1x500GB (OS) & 1x1TB (data) in a box Seagate HD with a 330 GB Seagate external LaCie firewire.

    Thanks in advance

Not quite the answer to what I'm asking, system started, decided to reactivate and confirms thus reactivated, I want to know is why he had to reactivate again and again and again...

This can be caused by a number of things - usually an anti-virus scan of the system at the same time that the licensing service is trying to verify the activation status.
Nothing to fear (usually) - but if it persists, or the notification remains standing, you should run a report of MGADiag (when the notification is displayed) and post it here.

  • Problem Windows Vista activation key

Thus, Windows Vista requires a product key, but because I couldn't find one, I had a windows 7 one.

I type in the product key windows 7 and it's not accept it. What can I do? Is it possible for me to just use the windows 7 one?

This link takes me to a full retail for WIndows 7 package, which means you should have disks of Windows 7 right at your fingertips.

You can do an upgrade installation with a full license of Windows - or a clean installation - no problem.

If you want to do an installation clean (which I recommend), simply to boot from the DVD and the installation and use the custom option.

If you prefer to do an upgrade, and then start Windows and start the installer from there, choose the upgrade option.

  • Windows vista update problems.

Downloaded PC update of windows vista. PC rebooted and got stuck at step 3 of 3 0%. PC is currently caught in a loop with the message "stage 3 of 3 0% ' appearing before restarting again. I tried repeatedly pressing F8 but it has no effect. When the option to start in safe mode keyboard does not therefore computer starts in normal mode and continues the loop. have tried to use the vista installation disc however when the keyboard message "Press any key to boot from cd/dvd" does not and PC continues to start windows normally and continue the loop. currently have LIKE rock installed on the computer and can access the configuration options and startup of vista to F2 and F11 as a result. keyboard works fine when using these options. I have read the previous posts and tried the suggestions not dying of success for the keyboard however does not when confronted with options for safe mode and restart using cd/dvd. I can't access anything before the login screen, so the Task Manager and the start menu options are not put at my disposal. currently using another computer on the same network as the PC with vista problems. is that what I can do to break the loop or shut down the computer restarts itself?

Try to get a dchange the boot order in the BIOS and repaired a boot with the drive below:

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

Now, I get a message to "activate Windows" I entered the correct code from the sticker on my computer several times, but I always get one or two error messages, my code is "invalid" or "in use". • Windows Vista activation key is invalid.

We've had this laptop for about 3 years now.  We recently had to take in our repair guy and he re-installed Windows Vista for us.  The laptop worked great since then (several weeks) until the end of last week.

We started getting a pop up notice to activate Windows.  I was hesitant to click on it until I could talk with our guys from the computer.  In the meantime our wallpaper would disappear anytime we stop or restart the machine.  Then this morning when I started the computer upwards the lower right got the message: "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine".

I called our repair guy and he said that happens sometimes with a re - install.  He said to go and activate Windows.  When I do, before I even get to a place to enter the activation key, the box that opens shows "Windows Vista home premium product key you typed is invalid for activation".

It follows with the options: "Buy a new product key online", "Type a different product key" or "Contact Microsoft to help solve this problem."  I chose the second option, using the product key on the bottom of our machine and got the message "the product key you entered is not a valid Windows Vista product key.  Please check your product key, and then type it again. "I checked the key and spruced up and got the same message.

Can someone help me please understand what is the problem and how to fix it?  Or at least provide a way to talk to a living person as the "Contact Microsoft to help solve this problem" option in my head of activation window me to a page that had me trying to activate, which opened in the same window that I had already opened.

So, after all the time that I spent to fight with this problem and check and recheck the product key, it seems I should actually check the prescription of glasses - I was confused with a 'B' for '8 '.  Once I typed the key * correctly * everything was fine.  I even restarted my computer twice to be sure that all "stuck".  Sheesh, I feel stupid.

    Thanks for your help. :-)

  • Windows Vista activation key issues

I have a Toshiba laptop, has problems with the firewall and had to take it to get fixed and when I got back with him all my stuff on Microsoft Word is "locked." I can't access any of my stuff out there, it's wanting to enter me an activation code to activate it. My laptop came with Windows Vista already installed and when I received the product key on the back of my computer to activate it again once it says it is incorrect.

Is there anything else I should do? The only disc that came with the computer is one that installs everything here from scratch, I need to use?

    Thank you

If you mean that you can not turn on, try to do it manually:

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

To solve the real problem (if even the activation group will not help because of this), repost the genuine advantage Forum at:http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinevista/threads.

    I hope this helps.

  • Halo 2 for Windows Vista compatibility problems?

I have problems of execution of Halo 2 for Vista after installing it on my Windows 7 installation.  Whenever I start it, it immediately goes to "No answer" as soon as it loads.  I tried to start with the compatibility options for all versions of Vista (plain, sp1, and sp2) but nothing works.  It seems to freeze at the part where it loads in the Games for Windows Live components.  I saw elsewhere that people have problems with this and that by removing completely all Games for Windows games and executives charge then reinstall them with Halo 2 first worked.  This has not worked for me, and after some further experimentation, I decided to check if it was a hardware problem, so I did a clean install of Vista and had no problem if he started.  All my drivers are up to date, but I can't find any more away.  Any suggestions?
