    Hello

Follow the step and check if that helps.

Method 1: you receive error 0 x 80070643, error code 0 x 643 or updates may be offered again when you try to install .NET Framework updates when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Updates

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/976982

If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    SOLUTION:

The solution to the problem, I met is the following:

Step 1: RESTART your computer, press F8

Step 2: select the first OPTION (depending on the manufacturer of your computer, it may be first or second, and so on...)

The option is: fix my (the) computer

Step 4: It will load the same in SafeMode (just an example), select your OWN USER NAME (though more are available), log in as an ADMINISTRATOR (if you are the one)

Step 5: It will change into a small window asking you connect by using the command prompt: check this option (this may vary according to manufacturing, but it should be there)

Step 6: Now when you log in you should see X:\Windows\System32 >

Step 7: Change of disk C, D or E (essentially select your disk where the OS is installed)

NOTE: If NO leave are present select your ONE and ONLY by CAR.

If left are, for example: D and E (D contains BONES, E contains - your stuff)

Select drive with OS, i.e. D drive

Step 8: After your decision to step 7, it would look like

    X:\Windows\System32\C:

Step 9: The result would now be C:\ >

SO BASICALLY WE ARE ACCESSING THE HDD FROM OUTSIDE

    Step 10: Type Chkdsk/r/f

Step 11: wait for the results

The first 3 steps will be complete as soon as POSSIBLE, the 4th and 5th stage will TAKE ABOUT 120 minutes (variable, based on the hard drive, the computer specifications and especially your processor)

The result should tell you more about the DEFECTIVE AREAS, indexing ERRORS and similar stuff, and also they could be repaired.

    When finished: TUPE OUTPUT

    At the end of OUTPUT

    and REBOOT

step 12: now even ONCE, go to the BACK UP CENTER, launch a NEW BACK UP, it should work :)

    tan7655,
If I read this correctly, you have a portable computer that do not have an operating system on it.  You try to install Vista and get the error.
You've restarted the Vista installation?  So then you get the same error? If you have tried to install more than once and continue to receive this error, check that the laptop is capable of Vista?  You may need to check with the manufacturer of the laptop to see if it is able to support Vista. I had so many problems with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium 64 bit and now this.  I tried to install the software from AT & T and to keep these two errors.  I went to every forum, website, I find and have finally decided that I have really no idea how fix this on my own.  Many other users have almost the same problem.  I tried everything what they do with no luck. Another suggestion was to create a different user account and try to install to make sure that my account was not damaged.  I don't do that too, no help.  Same problem, same error codes. I also check in 'Services' and the Windows Installer is started.

I ran Malwarebits (no problem), HijackThis (no problem), Root Kit/registry scan (no problem found), Temp File Cleaner (he gave me more space, which is great).  I done sfc scan and got this.  I went on the MC website to know how to read the CBS and it was a joke, I was completely lost.

So far, I know now I "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to solve some of them. . And I have no idea how to do to fix on my own.

I then found a site to tell someone else to use the "Event Viewer", I did this and the answer showed me 2 events in the event log, I tried the "journal of the events online Help" and answer has been "No response to this code" but thanks for recording it, so Microsoft knows what are the elements it can find remedies for the future for.

I found another person in the Vista Forum "BleepingComputer", (he had an error code of 1719 and said to reregister Windows Installer by using method 2, I went to this site and it struck me to death.  I have no intention (at least for myself) mess with my registry database.  Maybe if someone could guide me through it.  I had to do things with Vista I never thought that I would have and a generally unknown translates as I did.

I hope you can tell from this hopeless thread how I am, so if you can help me in any way, I would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help in advance.

SFC has NOT repaired all the corruption (and there was quite a bit - not as bad a I saw but a lot nonetheless).  It explains a lot about why you have problems as long as this corruption is everywhere in the room.  The only way to correct that corruption is an installation of repair/upgrade of the system with (if you can get your hands on a real Installation of Vista drive and this is the preferred option) or do a clean install - which is where we started (but at least you know now it is necessary and why).

I don't know what problems you have had, and which have been fixed since--but that undertake you to pretty much a clean slate and that there should be no problem to be addressed (other than the effort to restore the systems back as it was before the relocations (even the repair/upgrade system requires some effort)).  I can't imagine re-, you will encounter problems (but I do not know what they were or that ccaused them, or what you need to do to fix them is very difficult to answer this question accurately).  I can just say that all the Vista system files will be replaced by fresh copies and which solves generally most issues with the exception of a few problems of compativility with some older software, or maybe you need to update some driverss of the device (and perhaps a few other issues that are related but not caused by the Vista software).

Thanks for the comments: is apprecciated.

    I hope this helps.

I tried and tried to get updates on day of work will meticulously steps, turning and by deleting files, but whenever I try I get the Windows update 80070002 error and when I re - check the files that I just deleted, the files are back in data storage folder. I suspect that you currently see the effects of a hijackware infection, in which case you absolutely want to save all personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then format the HARD drive & make a clean install of Windows 7.

HOW to do a clean install of Win7: see "using the custom installation option" and formatting the hard drive section ofhttp://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7
