Windows vista mail socket 10013 error 0x800ccc0e error code: 2013

Windows Vistax64, Windows Mail:

The connection to the server has failed. Are subject:', account: 'mail.comcast.net', server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10013, error number: 0x800CCC0E
The connection to the server has failed. 'Tst', account: 'pop.lisco.com', server: 'smtp.lisco.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, Socket error: 10013, error number: 0x800CCC0E
Have been using Windows Mail on Vista Home Premium from purchased computer and from February 19, 2013 have been unable to send mail using my Comcast e-mail address or account ISP Lisco. Have checked with both and the framework are correct, without success to changing the port settings, etc.
Individual domain account now (smtpout.securesever.net) to duties after having been advised to change the SMTP on port 80, but did not help with Comcast or Lisco.
This could be a problem with the migration to MS Outlook?  If Yes, I know a lot of people are going to be 'pis_ed' and 'migration' to Andriod!

Very well.  Here's what you can do:

For the reception of messages, set the information of lisco for POP3 account.  That works very well, as you indicate.

The outgoing information, you may not use information lisco, since you have not logged by them but by Comcast, so the outbound information should be the SMTP for Comcast news.  Yes, under Tools | Accounts | Mail - account of lisco | Properties | Servers, set the 'smtp.comcast.net' SMTP Protocol, then check the box that says it requires authentication.  But now you must authenticate Comcast on the outgoing and not lisco, then click on the settings button and then instead of using the same credentials as falling, set the username and password for your Comcast account.  In this way, you use the lisco for the incoming username and the username for Comcast for the outgoing.  Then under Advanced, set Port incoming lisco to 110 and set the outgoing to 465 with SSL checked.

It should work.

(Windows Vista Home Premium) 800b0100 error code when you try to install the two (KB978338) and (KB968389)

I tried all the recommended solutions that Windows can throw at me, and yet I still can't download these updates for some reason any. Whenever I run the program "Microsoft Fixit" he says it's a mistake and fixing it with success, but I still get the same error when you try to install the updates. I have checked for malware, scanning my computer everything and see nothing.

    Hello

    1. what troubleshooting steps are carried out to solve the problem?

2 were there any hardware or software changes made on the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to return the item and check if it helps:

    Problems with installing updates

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-installing-updates

    Method 2:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/Windows-Update-error-800B0100

    Method 3:

I suggest to put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to open the program and check if it helps.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

    Hello

-Remember to make changes to your computer, after which the issue started?

I would recommend that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode.

    Step 2:

If the computer starts in safe mode, there must be a third party software that is causing the problem to occur, this is why I suggest you put your computer in a clean boot state.

First of all, I tried to install it with windows live update but got the error code 0 x 80070490. Then I tried to download it manually from the Windows Download Center, but this has led to the same problem occurs. I then removed all virus protection programs and tried again, but it still doesn't work. I then downloaded the Windows Update Readiness Tool 947821 KB but when I try and install it it freezes for hours constantly and will not install. I think of anything else to do and I was wondering if anyone can help. Thank you
