Hello. my computer crashes after I connect to a USB modem after you install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 on June 4, 2009. Under Windows Vista SP1, my laptop works fine when I use USB modem (Huawei model E160 - Globe visibility) and I can connect to the internet. When I attempt a connection to the internet, the screen message is: "the device is in use or not properly configured" and I can't connect to the internet. This time, he began to hang when stop. Any help for the solution of this problem so that I can connect to the internet wherever I go. I'm here in the Philippines. My no contact. is
. Allan H. Balucan,
Because this problem occurred after you installed service pack 2, you need to maybe uninstall and reinstall the drivers and software for your modem. It seems that the pilot may have gotten damaged during the process of update somehow. I would recommend that as the first thing to try.You can also try runnng the System File Checker to see if there is no corrupted file:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.Let us know if any of these things works or if you need assistance.
Thank you

I couldn't after several attempts to install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (KB948465). I finished all of the instructions that will appear on the screen to fix this problem and nothing works. I'm not a PC geek and want just to get this update loaded. I hope that this will solve the constant stop my IE WHENEVER I use it. I'm at a point where I want to just remove Vista and go back to XP. I NEVER had a problem with it.
Please contact something that can do a non-techie. I look at all these forums, but I don't really know how to do all this. So, unless there are instructions step by step, I'm a lost soul.
Thank you

I want windows to automatically download updates. I have my pc set to automatically download updates every day at 01:00. However, when I turn on my pc at about 09:00, he lets know me there are updates, but it will not install automatically. I install manually. As soon as I install manually, I get another notfication within 30 seconds, advising there is of new updates. Is there a way that my pc will automatically install updates without having to manually install every 30 seconds I? The update is called Windows vista service pack 2. If I continue to update when it warns me, there is no end to the amount of updates that 1 day ago. This can be corrected?

Code800F900 'unknown error in windows update' trying to download windows vista service pack 2
try to download windows vista service pack 2. Last update was on May 21, 2010. For a few weeks or months, the computer can be terribly slow. Often a hard drive rattle sound. For this, I tried anti-spyware, last week I installed and ran AdAware from lavasoft. It found nothing except two small cookies. A few weeks earlier, I had done the same thing using windows Defender. Also nothing. Along with a check disk hard I did not find much either. What end of the lifecycle for this computer, now about 3 years? He was one of the first available vista computers. Thank you for your help, Peter

Never, EVER use system restore to 'Cancel' an update, Service Pack, or upgrade of IE! Instead, uninstall the update, Service Pack, or the IE patch & reboot. If that does not resolve the problem, then try System Restore.

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 for update (KB948465) systems focus on x 64
Hi all:
For several weeks, I get a daily reminder to install the update "Windows Vista Service Pack 2 for x 64-based systems (KB948465)", but whenever I try to install it, it ends up by default, which gives 80246007 error code. What happened probably 30 times. It's driving me crazy, and at this point, I would like to know if it is still necessary to have. If this is the case, how can I get to install correctly? If this isn't the case, I can't the notification go away?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

SFC/SCANNOWIt may need be performed up to three times before success
Let us know the results of the report at the endRead here for more information
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833For the issue of the video
"Is not a true crash, in the sense that the blue screen was launched only because the combination of material and video driver video was to be insensitive and not because of any exception processing synchronous".Since Vista, the components of "Timeout detection and recovery" (TDR) of the subsystem video OS have been able to do some really impressive things to try to find issues that would have led to the earlier OS like XP to crash.
As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends a video driver command "Please restart you now!" and wait a few seconds.
If there is no answer, the BONE concludes that the combo of driver/hardware video has really collapsed in a heap, and it fires at this stop 0 x 116 BSOD.
If playing with video driver versions did not help, make sure that the box is not overheated.
Try to remove a side panel and a fan of big sector directly to the motherboard and GPU.
Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to check whether the cooler temperatures make a difference.
If so, it could be as simple as dust accumulation and inadequate cooling afterwards.
I download cpu - z and gpu - z (both free) and keep an eye on the video time
