Windows Volume control

Product name: HP Pavilion DV7-1261wm

Product number: NM295UA #ABA

OS: Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit)

My computer gets all the HP/Microsoft updates automatically.

My volume control up and down automatically. I choose silent and he will remain silent. I turned off my built-in microphone. I had to uninstall my SmartMenu HP controls because the buttons would not answer and the on-screen volume display activate every time that the windows volume control would move causing me not to be able to play all the games. I ran MSE and MalwareBytes and did not find any virus or ad/spyware that causes boredom. I don't ' know what to do... I really don't want to have to go through the process of windows re - install or reinstall game.

Hello

Try a Hard Reset as follows.

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery, connect the power adapter and start Notepad.

Kind regards

  • Windows Media Player volume control does not work during DVD playback.

When I play a DVD in Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center I can't adjust the volume with the volume control of the program or main Windows volume control.  Simply sound 100% flight.  It's on a HTPC connected to an A / V recevier, so the only way to adjust the sound with the volume of the receiver control.  When I play any other type of multimedia (avi, mp3, etc.) in the two WMP or WMC in the program volume control is working properly.  The interesting part is, when I play a DVD using VLC Player or Cyberlink Power DVD the volume setting in the program as well as the main Windows volume control works correctly.  This leads me to believe it's a software is not a hardware problem.  I think that WMP and WMC using the same "engine" so the same problem knocking them both.

    Other info:

    Windows 7 64-bit.

    Windows Media Player 12 version

Audio is routed to the receiver via the digital coaxial

For what it's worth, this same problem occurred with the same exact material when I'm running Vista 32 bit.

All other software is the latest version with all updates installed.

Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Hello

Reinstall the WMP and WMC application and see if it works very well.

    1. open the Control Panel -> programs and features.

    2. click on Windows to enable or disable features in the left pane.

3 expand the multimedia features, disable Windows Media Player. Click Yes to continue, and then click OK to exit. Then restart.

Note: If you turn off your WMP, Windows Media Center will be off either. You may need to reconfigure the settings for Windows Media Center after her reactivation.

    4. open or turn off Windows features turn on again. Functionality in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center. Turn it back on.

    5. launch Windows Media Player, initialize the program.

PS: If you turn off your WMP, Windows Media Center will be off either. This does not happen when we choose to turn off MCE.

  • Massage "cannot Access Volume Control!" on my Satellite L20

I have this strange problem on my laptop Satellite L20-100 with Windows XP Pro pre-installed.
When I turned on the laptop this morning I got this massage WARNIG: "Can t Access Volume Control!", then I noticed that the (Windows) Volume control icon does not appear in the system tray of taskbar.

Generally, the sound works under Windows. When I go to control panel-> sounds and devices Audio-> Volume V is marked near the "place volume icon taskbar", I tried to deselect and score again. It still does not appear, if I can change the volume here (Panel-> Sound) and Audio-> Volume devices and it works, but when I try to change it with Fn + up/down the whole bar is red because he does not see the sound card or something.

I tried to reinstall the audio driver, nothing happens.
This actually happened before, the first time that reinstalling Windows helped, I think.
Anyone have any idea what should I do? Thanks in advance...

If this problem occurred suddenly have you tried to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool?

  • Can not adjust the volume control

I have no sound on my computer. When I go into Control Panel, volume control, it I cannot adjust the volume control. I have my computer set up for automatic downloads of microsoft, so I can't tell what I recently downloaded.

When in Windows volume controls do not work, it usually means the underlying Windows application that control audio is corrupted. You need to retrieve sndvol32.exe is your partition recovery or recovery disc that came with your computer. The process for this varies slightly, but full instructions about recovering Windows volume are available on this tutorial.

  • Volume controls on the keyboard after the upgrade to Windows 8

I have a Touchsmart 520-1070 with the mouse and keyboard without wire factory.  After the upgrade to WIndows 8, the volume controls no longer work.  I tried the Recovery Manager to reinstall the keyboard drivers, but there is no driver keyboard under hardware drivers.

In the following device manager are listed under keyboards:

    HID keyboard device

    Keyboard 109 MCIR Microsoft eHome

    Keyboard MCIR Microsoft eHome

Microsoft eHome key remove control Keayboard

    PS/2 standard keyboard

Any report that they are installed and are working correctly and that the drivers are up to date.

Has anyone else seen or solved this problem with a Touchsmart computer?

The instructions below were provided by HP support.  This has restored the function on the keyboard volume controls.  The referenced below drivers are drivers IDT high definition Audio Device.  I am not sure that it was necessary to reinstall the audio drivers.  It can only had to remove the USB dongle and back to restore the functionality of the button.  Note: the USB dongle is located behind the VESA Panel to the back of the PC.  No tools are required and the dongle can be removed and replaced without shutting down the PC.  VESA panel removal requires a bit of a steady hand, pulling the lip which is close to the connections on the rear panel.

    Instructions received from HP:

Please go to the following link and check the "return of the system", article #7 is the USB dongle:

  • HP wireless keyboard from 2.4 GHz on the HP Pavilion Elite 083 Volume controls does not not in Windows 8

I have a HP 2.4 GHz wireless keyboard on a desktop HP Pavilion Elite 083 UK:

    Model KG-08510 rev 1.1

    Product #ABU KZ256AA number

    Part number 505143-031

.. Since the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Home Premium, I have problems with getting control of Volume +, - and disable keys on the keyboard to work reliably in Windows 8 Pro.

In summary, the symptom is that when I start the PC from a start-up to cold which is a full power down of the State of the volume on the keyboard controls do not work.

However, if I unplug and re - plug the USB wireless receiver that came the keyboard on the PC then on the keyboard volume controls begin to work again.

I tried the following things to try to solve this problem:

-Made a lot of new installation of Windows 8 i.e. reformatting the hard drive (no recovery) and fresh install Windows 8 on a blank hard drive.

-Installation of Microsoft Windows all the updates available for the machine.

-Manually install drivers wireless keyboard on the site of HP driver for my computer HP Pavilion Elite 083uk (this allows the screen display on to CapsLock and numlock which works reliably every time that I start).

-Disable 'fast start up' in Windows 8 power settings

-Using different USB ports on the back of the machine

This question is re-producable each time and the keyboard volume buttons work fine even from boot cold when I was running Windows 7.

I think that I have now found a solution / workaround to solve this case no matter who is interested.

    1. download and install the Microsoft "DevCon" tool that provides an interface to command line for Device Manager.

Download and installation instructions are here:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/182.how-to-obtain-the-current-version-of-device-console-utility-DevCon-exe.aspx

    2. create a Windows scheduled task with "highest privileges" that works on logon that issues the following command:

    DevCon restart 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

This restarts "HID-compliant consumer control device" that is listed in my device manager which is middle for the proper functioning of the volume control and mute buttons on the keyboard (keyboard functionality is via a separate driver which is not affected).

NB. you need to replace ""HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02"with whatever hardware ID is listed in the device for that Manager.»

    3. If the above does not work, then you must create a scheduled task to run a batch file with the following:

    DevCon disable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

    DevCon enable 'HID\VID_03F0 & PID_0862 & REV_0105 & MI_01 & Col02'

  • "Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »

    missing volume control

volume control was gone. I tried to go into my control panel to use it, but I get an error that says:

"Windows cannot display the control volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel. »

I have lost my Windows XP disc in a move and can't reinstall the file to a disk, how to fix this?

When you use certain features sounds and Audio devices, you see a message like this:

Windows cannot display the control of volume on the taskbar because the Volume control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove programs in Control Panel.

It seems that the c:\windows\system32\sndvol32.exe file is missing.

This may occur if your antivirus/antimalware application thinks the file is suspicious and quarantines (effectively delete) the file.  You can replace the missing file with a backup copy of the file that is in another folder on your system.

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

Assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive...

We know that XP keeps copies of critical system files in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Using the Explorer, search for or navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32\dllcache

Locate the sndvol32.exe file, right-click, choose copy (it copies the file to the Windows Clipboard).

If your Solution Explorer settings are not set to display file extensions, you will see only a file called 'sndvol32' which has an icon that looks like to the volume control slider (this is the file you need).

If the file is missing in the dllcache folder, look for a copy of the file in this folder:

    c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

Browsing from a level in the following folder:

    c:\Windows\System32

Right-click on an empty area in the window of c:\windows\system32 and choose Paste to paste in the missing file where it belongs.

Answered in the affirmative if invited to replace the existing file.

Now try your features sounds and Audio devices.

Note that run sfc/scannow will not replace the missing file because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

How can I make Blender see other sound control applications users

    Hello gmayes,

In addition to what Anthony has provided above the quick change of user in Windows Vista is designed to run programs that are specific to each user profile. This means that when you play the music in a single profile and use the fast user switching will continue to play music and the secondary profile will not have access to control the Web pages or the volume of the music played on the primary profile.

Using programs of another quick switch mode user profile is not something that is supported by Vista right now.
