Windows whenever the Pro upgrade install problem

While the windows installation anytime 7 Pro upgrade windows 7 the screen locked upwards and after restarting the screen even maintains locks and display. It is an ASUS computer (1 day old) and is the screen on that hangs the screen ASUS recovery tool. This came after I inserted a DVD to make recovery disks.

Thank you. Larry

Try to do a restore using the recovery partition, the attempt of the Express upgrade again.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

  • Windows 8.1 for Windows 8.1 Pro upgrade

    Hello

I recently bought a Lenovo with Windows 8 desktop computer for a customer. I have updated to 8.1 of Windows using my microsoft account. When I went to install it, I discovered that the Office was created with a domain name. I thought that this could be considered and was ready to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro so I could get it on the network.
I was looking for methods to buy a key, so I could switch to pro.  I wasn't able to stay on site to work on this.
I studied the process upgrade and read that if you update victory 8 to 8.1 Win of the store, you cannot upgrade to Win Pro 8.1 store and need to get media.  Not sure if this means that I have to buy Windows 8 Pro pure and simple.
Anyone have the answer to my next step to go pro?

Yes, you will first need to purchase the Pro Pack Windows 8.1 then update.

  • Windows whenever the upgrade does not work

Just bought a dell I580 with Windows 7 home 64 bit. I also conquered by the Windows Anytime Upgrade from home premium to windows 7 Professional for $89.00. After I enter the product key, it is trying to install a few minutes then said unsuccessful upgrade. Dell told me that I would need to purchase a full version upgrade Windows 7 Pro for $200.00. I find the commercial version full for less than that. The full version would be Fri doing reinstalls easier. It of what I need to do or is there a better way?

I can find the full commercial version for less than $200.00. The same full version would facilitate reinstalls in the future. If I buy a commercial version full instead of the upgrade and make an entirely new installation, can I use the license for the home premium to Windows 7 on another computer?

    Thank you

You like said Dell buy the 'Full' product, a bad deal at best because you will not be able to use the Home Premium version that came with your computer on another PC.

  • Windows at the request of backup problem

I'm having a problem with my weekly backups and I went through 8 discs in just a few months. The problem is the following:

Label a blank disc as noted in the first week and backup, then next week, or the next when I insert this disk formatted in accordance with the instructions, I get the message something like:

    • Cannot write to the disk. Insert a new blank disc or,
    • This disk cannot be formatted or this disc is not formatted.

Right now I have a drive that has been formatted with success last week, with just a backup session on this subject (only a fraction of its free space) and I get the message that it is not formatted and drive D is empty, but I can read its data on another computer using Windows Vista.

My system is Windows 7 Edition Home Premium and my backup media is a DVD - RW Memorex.

    Can anyone help please?

You more than probably a period of one week in your backup schedule. After a week has elapsed the calendar will start over and delete the previous backup on the DVD - RW.  You can consider a USB drive of externsl as a cheaper, faster and more convenient alternative to long term. Or stack a 100 spindle of DVD + RW (less than 20 US dollars when it is on sale) for a short time but the safe alternative.

  • new PowerEdge: windows server 2003 standard r2 install problem

    Hi all

so I started with this procedure

    1. Insert the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility CD or the Dell and Documentation DVD systems management tools in the CD player.
    2. Reboot your system and boot from the CD/DVD.
    3. Select Dell Systems Build and Update Utility to go to the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility Home screen.
    4. Click the server operating system Installation.
    5. Follow the instructions step by step to set up your hardware and to install your operating system.

Now in the select list of Os, I chose windows server 2003 sp2. When I come to the part where it asks for my o/s drives, I get a "invalid" drive, and my windows install dvd is ejected.

I use our msdn 2939.3 disc titled "Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition with Service Pack 2.

I tried our other msdn discs, but they no longer work.

    so I'm stuck.

All I need is to put in place the RAID-1 and windows server 2003.

Anyone who is willing to light on that?

  • Windows 8 pro upgrade - question about relocation

I am running Windows 8 (Standard Edition) - it came preinstalled on my computer, and thus the product key is stored on my BIOS.

I would like to be running Windows 8 Pro. However before I have to spend $200, I want to know exactly how the upgrade system - the rest of the internet is very clear on that. I have the following questions:

    (1) if I buy an upgrade Windows 8 Pro on the Microsoft Store (search > add features > purchase online product key), and then later I want to do a clean reinstall Windows pro 8, if I can install Windows 8 Pro or what I need to install Windows 8 and then go again?

    (2) if I have to upgrade again can I use the option 'I already have a product key' in 'Add features' and use the product key that I bought?

    (3) if I go out to a retailer and buy Windows 8 Pro and do a clean install, it will install in Windows 8 Pro or I have to use "add features"? If I have to use 'Add features', will be the product key that comes with my Windows 8 Pro that I bought work detailing if I select "I already have a product key?

    (4) if I want to upgrade to Windows Pro 8.1 in what order should I upgrade? Is - this Windows 8 > Windows 8 Pro > Windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 8 > 8.1 Windows > Windows Pro 8.1? (Please do not link me to the FAQ section, I've been there and that you can't find the answer. If you wish to make a reply in this section it otherwise I'll have to ask you to clarify rephrase please.)

    (5) is there a way I can save windows 8.1/Windows 8.1 Pro upgrade files so that I don't have to download again if I clean install my OS? If so, how do I.

    1. You need to install Windows 8 and upgrade to Pro again.
    2. Yes, you can of course. This code will work for you for ever. Just keep it somewhere safe (I keep all my OneNote product keys, but you can also store them as text files OneDrive or another course).
    3. The complete packaging product key will work as well.
    4. You cannot jump directly from Windows 8 > Windows Pro 8.1.  You would have either A) download the 8.1 update before you type the key Pro 8.1 or B) to obtain a Pro 8.0 and use it, then go to 8.1.
    5. There is really no files actually.  Each version of Windows has everything, the code is that it unlocks for use.  What is new, starting with Vista, this is why the "features add to Windows ' (formerly 'AnyTime Upgrade' is here.

But you could always take your computer, update / update to 8.1 Pro you have, then do a system image backup, so you can always go to immediately exactly hassle-free.  Bonus, this backup can even include all of your installed programs, settings and customization.
