I can find the full commercial version for less than $200.00. The same full version would facilitate reinstalls in the future. If I buy a commercial version full instead of the upgrade and make an entirely new installation, can I use the license for the home premium to Windows 7 on another computer?

    Thank you

You like said Dell buy the 'Full' product, a bad deal at best because you will not be able to use the Home Premium version that came with your computer on another PC.

  • W7 is accepted, but the upgrade fails

I run W7 home Premium that came pre-installed on my laptop. I wanted to move to W7 Pro. Anytime online update doesn't let me do this based on the restrictions of the place, somehow. He suggested that I buy a key from a retailer instead, as I did.

Now, I entered this key in the update of any time and it seems that he had accepted the key, that I can forward to accept the license terms and then it starts to do his work, say how it will take about 10 minutes, etc.., but not for long. I don't know if I still get the same error message now, compared to when I tried to update the first time, but now, he said something to the effect of (this is a German Windows):

    Enter the different product key

The Enter key is designed for a version of Windows that is compatible with the upgrade Express (sic!). Enter the different upgrade key.

Now I checked my key with a key verification tool and it makes the new key account I had entered the Pro upgrade and it seems, so I'm stuck with a system on the new key, but will not perform the upgrade.

  • Said Dell Inspiron 7537 is tested on Windows 10 but the upgrade fails - black screen

    Hello all, Hello support,

Dell Backup software and restore proposed to me that I have upgraded to Windows 10. I like this idea.

I checked my ultrabook on the DELL Web site. Inspiron 7537 is tested (proudly said Dell) so I should be able to update my OS without flaw.

I did 2 upgrade to Windows 10 attempts, both failed in the same way.

It passes through several stages, but at some point, a black screen stuck and only power OFF button turns the laptop computer do something (disable). In the two attempts after 2 restarts, the installation process is back from my Windows 8.1 operating system

Why DELL say it is tested and I can't upgrade - turns-does not work.

I have not contacted the DELL forums on this subject (because the DELL technical support in my country told me it is Microsoft Business) If IT WAS NOT for THE FACT that DELL 'advertising' me Windows 10 and claims my laptop is ready to do the upgrade.

    Please help and explain.

    Thank you in advance.

    Martin

  • Stop Windows 10 Upgrade prompt, because the upgrade fails

I want to stop being prompted to upgrade to Windows 10. I tried 3 times, with freshly downloaded drivers, but still, the installation fails to half way through, and it's beyond my ability to resolve this more. The laptop is old, it has 16 GB of RAM, a screen 17 "and 8 cores, so it still has useful life in it.

Why this upgrade mechanism does not notice that the installation has failed each time? He doesn't notice what is broken, because there is no help at all in telling me what needs to be fixed. I wouldn't use my compromised machine and a bunch of picked up hard drive space because I can't upgrade to the latest and greatest.

You should really just uninstall the updates associated with win-10

It also helps if you see before you download and install updates

These parameters to sort the important updates really well and that's all that you need to install anyway.

  • Windows whenever the Pro upgrade install problem

    Thank you. Larry

Try to do a restore using the recovery partition, the attempt of the Express upgrade again.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.
