Windows XP after April 8

To be absolutely clear, if for any reason any I had to reinstall Windows XP after April 8, before April 8 updates would still be available. I'm afraid that the answer is 'NO '.

All updates will still be available, the new simply cannot. Activation is still supported after April 8, 2014 also.

  • Is it safe run of ATMs with Windows XP after April 8, 2014?

Microsoft will end support for Windows XP in April 8,2014. They are encouraging to switch to the latest operating systems of Microsoft, for security and the other reason. Now, in this condition, I found that almost all ATMS (ATM) using Windows XP or earlier operating system as their operating system. My question is that is - this safe to use Windows XP after April 8, 2014?

    Thank you all.

Probably not.  After April 8, 2014, Microsoft will no longer be security patches, so any vulnerability discovered after that date will remain available to be exploited.  Of course, the ability to attack a computer usually depends on it to be accessible on the Internet.  If the ATMs are connected via a secure private network, the Bank may believe that they are "pretty sure".  I wouldn't trust to such a bank.

    Dear MS,

As Microsoft Security Essentials has proved to be a program of exceptional anti-virus/Malware protection for all current versions of Windows, MSE still support with updates for Windows XP after April 2014?  Or Windows XP users will have to find a competitive package of anti-virus?

  • Still, Microsoft will release an activation code for Windows XP installation after April 8, 2014?

I run XP for backward compatibility for several reasons. I'm not worried for themselves are more updates of security that the computer will be off line only. However, if I need to reinstall for some reason any, like a disk crash, I always call and receive custom code that validates my installation?

  • The Microsoft Internet Server will host Windows XP or after April 8, 2014 product activation?

Original title: for Windows XP product activation

I understand that support and security updates for Windows XP is scheduled to be completed April 8, 2014.

    Now, here's the scenario.

Suppose I have the installation CD of Windows XP. I installed it on my desktop PC. I need to have activated the or after April 8, 2014.

The Microsoft Internet Server will host for Windows XP product activation?

    Hello

    This FAQ http://www.microsoft.com/norge/piracy/activation_faq.mspx says:

Microsoft use activation to force me to upgrade? In other words, Microsoft will never stop giving activation codes for all products that require activation?
No, Microsoft use activation as a tool to force people to upgrade. Activation is simply a tool in the fight against piracy, nothing else.

Microsoft will also support Windows XP activation throughout his life and will probably make the point that turns off activation at the end of the life cycle of the product so that users would be more needed to activate the product.

  • What about the Windows Vista Edition full Edition-Home Basic / Home Premium after April 10,2012

I read that Microsoft will end support and eventually none of these versions will be supported. Why isn't Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, which is marketed as "Designed for" more supported. It can be used by customers and the high - end or low-end companies.

They provide the update for all versions of vista and Office 15 and other programs after April 2012 compatible with Vista. It's support in my book.

  • Will set you free 'main Windows 8' in April 2012?

Will set you free 'main Windows 8' in April 2012?

The release date of Windows 8 has not made public. However, given that it is still at stage overview of the pre-beta developer I guess he'll be significantly after April 2012.

If you have any other questions about Windows 8, please ask them in the MSDN forums. The specific forum you need is:

  • is it safe to access the internet after April 8 if I bought independent security of AVG?

I have a full day of security system, so probably protect my computer even if is no longer, I'll get Windows updates?

It is never 100% secure access to internet at any time, no matter what security software is installed and what operating system is running. After April 8, the XP operating system will be more and more insecure as and when new ways to exploit the vulnerabilities of Microsoft surface will not provide fixed by Windows Update. As its use XP dies offshore, I think that there will come a time where criminals lose XP and move their efforts towards OSs more popular but I can't say when it will be, no one can.

  • Boot camp Win 7 0 x 34 blue screen during windows startup after the restoration with the image of the system.

The hard drive on the Macbook pro was repartioned, all the boot camp and other drivers updated and Windows installed from the installation DVD. All the Windows updates available from 2012 (installation disc is 2012) until today have been installed and Boot camp 5.1 with all its drivers installed. Restoration was launched with an image of an external hard drive and a system repair disc system. Once Windows loads after the login screen, it crashes. A blue screen appears with the error code 0 x 00000034 and mention cache_manager... Windows restarts by itself and I can only use it in safe mode, which means that I can't download or install upgrades or programs.

Analyze the dmp file since the first crash with Windows debugging tool showed that the problem seems to lie with

AppleHFS.sys/AppleMNT.sys are used to allow access to filesystems OSX JHFS +. Restoring Windows on Mac backups can be painful. If you have already fresh install of W7 on the internal drive, try the restore without installing any driver BC. Please be aware that such a restore is not aware of the partitions on your internal drive and can erase your internal drive.

  • Firefox will supports Windows XP after it's retired. Because Google Chrome says apparently it will be. I am happy using Firefox and curious. Thank you!

Wanted to know if Firefox supports Windows XP after it's retired.
Read on the internet that apparently Google Chrome will support it.
I don't like Google Chrome and will continue with Firefox but hoped they will support Windows XP.
If this is not the case, what kind of problems would I have?
I was told that I have a good virus program would be nice.
I have Avast which has worked well for me.
I do not have a personal thing on my computer to worry if someone would try to hack.
Only thing I really do a lot of is to go on my writing groups in Yahoo. But it would be nice to not worry about Malware, threats etc like that and having to run my scans every day.
I'm not at a point where I can buy a new computer, or to afford to go to Windows 7, which is always being updated.
Heard of that Windows 8 is a nightmare and, apparently, a new version that the user is more than friendly Windows 9 didn't will be out til later this year or early next year.
    Thank you!

  • Satellite L500 CTRL + left click does not work in Windows 7 after update

    Hello
I have a Satellite L500 running Win 7 64 bit. I have recently installed the latest windows updates and you've probably noticed that I can no longer select multiple items by holding the CTRL key and clicking on the left. This applies to files in Explorer, but also emails in outlook. When I try just hangs for a few seconds, but is unable to select multiple items. Someone else has encountered this or have any suggestions for healing?

It is nothing lost in trying this Vista solution since there is no registry hacks etc [you cannot use keyboard shortcuts to select multiple items in Windows Explorer after installing some applications on a Windows Vista-based computer: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934548/en-us]

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.
