Windows XP and WiFi passwords

I have a laptop of Dell Latitude. The operating system is Windows XP. XP requires an access code to receive and maintain a WiFi signal. If so where the access code is entered?

Thanking you in advance.

Tom

If a wifi network requires an encryption key (password) is not related to the operating system (Windows), but in the router configuration.

In Windows XP, after selecting a wireless network from the "Choose a wireless network" screen and click on the 'Connect' button, if the wireless network is secured, you will get a pop window asking you to enter the password twice.

You should maybe start at the beginning and explain your problem.  Don't forget to include the brand, model and hardware version (if any) of your wireless router.

It would also help you if you provide the specific model of your Dell Latitude.

I tried to request a password reset through windows but Messenger who did do the trick. Appreciate your help in this matter.

    Hello raylav,

You should be able to dissassociate ID of your Windows with your silver account.

Disconnect from the Internet. Open Money Plus or Money 2007, by logging in to your Money file in offline mode. Remove the Windows LiveID via password manager. You should now be able to connect to your Bank and financial institutions again.  Close Money. Reconnect to the Internet. Verify that the removal was successful

If this does not work for you, I suggest you just go to the website of MS Money to ask questions, because they have the experts it in MS Money.

  • After a clean install of Windows Vista, Intel Wifi card is installed and activated, but does not detect the network.

Wireless card not working after a clean install of Windows Vista

I did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium on my HP Pavilion of 32 bits. I've completely updated Windows via Service Pack 2. Given that the clean install, my wireless card, Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, was not able to detect all the networks. The Wifi card is listed under NICs as being installed and activated. the hardware on my laptop Wifi switch is set on "on" and the light is blue, indicating that the card is working.

I can connect to the internet if I connect physically my computer to the modem with an ethernet cable wireless, so the modem isn't the problem. Other computers can connect to the wireless modem, so my Wifi modem functionality is not the problem. The problem with my computer.

I tried to uninstall the Intel driver and reboot my computer with the generic driver. Install the driver generic, but my wireless card has not always worked. I then ran an update of windows, nothing helps.

I tried to install the "Intel® PRO /? Wireless and WiFi Link"drivers for Windows Vista (32-bit 13.1.1.1 the latest version and the previous version 12.4.4.5 32-bit) for the Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN directly from the Intel Web site at http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Wireless+Networking&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+WiFi+Products&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Wireless+WiFi+Link+4965AGN. The map didn't always work with a driver.

In addition to the pilots, I also downloaded a tool of diagnosis of Intel (Intel® PROSet /?) Utility of WiFi wireless connection for Windows Vista 32 -? Bit). Said diagnostic tool the WiFi card is not installed or enabled, however, Device Manager maintains that he is also installed and active.

Is there a problem that causes Device Manager to say that all is well with the card, but does not map to realize that they diminish the radio signals? Everything's fine, diagnostic, it just does not detect networks around him. Help, please.

    Hello

    The on/off switch actually works?

Since it is an internal adapter to ensure it is enabled in the settings of configuration/F2 (BIOS/CMOS) often like you
Start - so look at the screen.

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • my wifi password has been changed and now I want to get back in touch with the new password HOW

my wifi password has been changed and now I want to get back in touch with the new password HOW

    Hey gerritfrompretoria,

If you are not prompted to use the new password to your Wi - Fi network when trying to connect, you may have to remove the network on your system. This can be done by the following steps.

    1. Open system preferences in the Apple menu
    2. Choose the network
    3. Select a Wi - Fi connection on the left
    4. Click Advanced... in the bottom right
    5. Choose your network from the list of preferred networks
    6. Click on the '-' at the bottom of the list
    7. Click OK
    8. Click on apply

Once removed try to connect to your Wi - Fi network normally and you will be prompted for the password.

    Sincerely

  • How to share files between Windows XP and Windows 7 without password?

Hey guys, I want to share files between windows 7 and windows XP. I don't want to put the password on my Windows 7 or Windows XP account. I am going on my Windows XP perfectly shared files from Windows 7, but I am not able to go on my files of windows 7, the cause of my XP he asks user name and password. I enter the user name and it does not accept it if I make a password for my windows 7 and enter as the user name... I don't know what to do guys any help?

Windows 7 only WILL NOT allow you to share files without a password, it's all just a common sense safety requirement.  It of a very bad practice to run your Windows installations with a null value, a password, give your facility a valid password.

The simplest around your problem is to create an account with the same names and passwords on each machine and so typed the password when the connection is too a problem allow AutoLogon on the machines.
