"» I did Scan SFC which there is "no question of integrity" in the system, uninstalled "Avira Antivirus software" and again tried to install Service Pack 2 , but again, I've got the error: 80073712 After all this I couldn't solve the problem. Please provide some tips if anyone has solved the same or has a solution!

  You have access to a Windows Vista installation disc? If so, follow the steps in this document to perform an InPlace upgrade. This will reinstall Vista without making any changes to the files and programs on the computer. Even if your data and programs must be safe, it is always advisable to make sure that you have a recent backup before major changes on the computer.
