I used it perfectly but after 30 days, the antenna has been disabled and a notice says me that the evaluation period has expired and I have to get a license for this version of Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba.   Please make sure that you select the correct architecture of Windows 8 (32-bit or 64-bit) while downloading the drivers.

  The Toshiba utilities do you mean are designed only for Windows XP. On Windows Vista and Windows 7, you need only the Toshiba value added Package. This package contains everything you need.

  Portege M400 doesn't support Windows 7, but you can try installing the Vista drivers. Most of them are also work on Windows 7.
  AFAIK, you must also Support Button Toshiba on this model.
