Windows8 system time not updated.

I recently bought a HP envy 14 inch sleekbook with windows8.

The time system in my laptop is not updated. When I boot my system, his watch earlier when I turned off my laptop.

Please let me know how to solve this problem?

Check the time\date in the BIOS.  If the time system is not at the time put into it after the restart of the sleekbook, then it means generally that the battery of the CCF (BIOS) does not hold a charge.  It is one of the functions of the RTC (real time clock) battery. It also provides current to the BIOS eeprom chip so that it retains all its power of system settings a stop at the next startup.

Replace the RTC battery in a HP sleekbook is something that should be done by an HP Service Center. Contact HP warranty service

  • HP DV7-4050ea: Date & only time not updated DV7-4050ea

I have a HP Pavillion DV7-4050ea. Whenever I restart the computer, the date time not not to date. I changed the battery (CR2032) without result. Is this what can I do to make sure of the correct date and time of updates every time I restart the computer.

    Hello

Try to manually set the date/time of the bios again.

You should see that the first field highlighted is the time value - set this to the correct time by using f5 and f6 (f5 will reduce the number & f6 it will increase).  When it is correct, press ENTER to highlight the Minute field and again, use f5 & f6 to set the correct minutes.

When finished, press the arrow down to select the first Date field.  This should be for the month, so using f5 & f6 to enter the correct value.

Press Enter to highlight the field day and this, and then press ENTER to highlight the year field and then set this.

If you are happy with the settings of Date and time, press f10 and press ENTER to save the settings and exit the bios.

Let windows load completely.  If the Date and time correct does not appear, go to the control panel and set the Date and time correct here.

Restart computer and check if this has fixed the problem.

    Kind regards

    Hi Earthshaker77,

The problem seems to be with symmtime. It is not compatible with Vista. This means that you will need to get an update or other software, sorry.

Here is the link for the Vista compatibility checker. You can check the software and hardware for compatibility issues before trying to load them.

  • "Stop 0x000000A5 the BIOS of the system is not fully ACPI-compatible every time as the installation of a new windows 7 integral over Inspiron 15R N5110.

    Hello

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on many brands of laptops, but when I installed it on Inspiron 15R N5110, (core i5 and 4GBRAM). I faced an error at startup of windows 7 after completing the installation.
NOTE: When the installation finished and restarted my computer, this window shown to me.

Two options from the two options above I chose, I found myself with the blue screen:

Error blue screen said something these ' BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Contact your system provider for an updated BIOS I don't know what that means and I don't know where is the culprit. I wish I could capture this error screen. However, it is impossible to do because I wasn't the Windows environment.

Even if the error related to BIOS necessary for the update, so how could I update as long as windows has not begun.

Is there something that needs to be configured in the BIOS before installing Windows 7 on Dell laptops.
I'm quite surprised that the previous system was windows 7, but it was Home Premium.

The strangest thing is when I tried to start to repair the disk and even disk instillation of Windows to resolve startup problems, I found that this startup repair couldn't fix problems.

When I tried to do these steps:

    1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD.

Note Some computers may require you change basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For more information about changing the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER.
Note By default, the administrator password is blank in Windows XP Home Edition.
    5. By default, Hiberfil.sys is usually located in the directory root (C:\). At the command prompt, type del hiberfil.sys and then press ENTER.
    6. Restart the computer.
When I arrived at "system recovery options, I saw that my system is listed, then I chose then, but I found myself with this ' this"system recovery options"version is not compatible with the version of windows that you are trying to fix." Try to use a different compatible with this version of windows recovery disk, even if I'm sure only that the same disk to install windows I have installed since.

NOTE: I do not add RAM or other devices. There is a windows 7 Home premium and I just re installed a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I don't really know what the previous windows version 7 is 32 or 64 bit.
I checked the dell forum and I found ' your computer goto your BIOS F2

That goto advance Select ATA to instead of AHCPI save the setting, and then try to restart your Windows 7

    hope it will work. »

But he did not AHCPI, but I found AHCI and let ATA instead of AHCI, but no difference that happened.

    Hello

Check the steps suggested by LoneWolf1983 from the link below and see if it helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-hardware/stop-BIOS-not-fully-ACPI-compliant/25210db0-5491-4fc8-99c2-ec0361dd8388

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

    Thank you very much

I checked this thread, and I found this solves the problem

I have changed the serial port in the BIOS for 2F8/IRQ3 and I have not had a blue screen since... fingers crossed, it's her!

But as you know that no matter what BIOS are different from others.

Thus, I have not found any serial port in the BIOS to be replaced by 2F8/IRQ3

NOTE: My problem is when you install a new version of Windows.

In addition, every time a new windows installation 7 and facing the Blue error screen, I started to Macrium Rescue CD and clicked "fix windows startup", and then when restart my windows, I was not facing the the Blue error screen. If windows starts successfully.

If the blue screen error was tied to the BIOS, the Refelct Macrium rescue CD wouldn't no matter what (not know this problem)

  • FixIt center operating system is not compatible Windows and update does not work due to 8007066

I have an Asus Essentio with Windows 7 Professional. Although the computer was working ok, I installed the FIX It Professional [I bought it to install on my computer to girls] for the interview. Since then, I had several problems with slow MSN Mail and slow performance. I uninstalled the product and to restore the computer to the date of installation of the software. Here are some of the problems I have:

When you try to run Microsoft difficulty It Center I get a message "the operating system is not compatible and must be XP or newer" which it obviously. I've used this program in the past without any problems and actually have a user account, but it still does not work.

Trying to access Microsoft support told me that the software is not "enabled" even though it says it's under System properties, and the product number is not saved, even if it has been for more than 8 months.

Whenever I click on the MSN butterfly, a security message wonder if Explorer is allowed to make changes to my computer. Not a big deal, but remember why nobody liked Vista and I would like to get rid of him.

A Windows Update does not work due the 8007066f, who doesn't have a solution, but updated logo keeps interrupting my work.

    Thanks for any help.

I suggest an Inplace upgrade to fix your computer.

The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do. In addition, you may need to reinstall the device drivers after this operation.

The detailed steps are included as below:

    On-site upgrade
    ====================
1 log on to the system first.
    2. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. Click Start and select computer.
    4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.

    5. click on install now.

    6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows 7 without the key and choose please confirm.

    7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows 7 system files.

Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

Let us know if that helps.

The thread is old now, but it is for those who always have this problem.

When I got the error, I cancelled and restarted the machine. I pressed the 'option' button when starting upwards and he grew the boot partitions. You should see a 'EFI Boot' partition. Choose that and you restart the installation process, but this time it works.

Supposedly the boot EFI and WinInstall partition should do the same thing. Manually, select one or the other.
