WinDVD Bd for Vista

When I try to open the Windvd bd is not open or play DVDs.  A Vista is my operating system.

Hello

·        Since when are you facing this problem?

·        Remember to make changes to the system?

·        What is the error message when you try to access Windvd bd (blu - ray disc)?

·        What is the model of your system and who is the manufacturer?

I suggest to consult the manufacturer for the latest firmware and download and install on the system and check if you're able to access Windvd bd.

If this does not help then, I suggest to uninstall the software for the bd of windvd about the system and reinstall again on the system and check if the problem is resolved.

If you use Sony, it may also be that the AACS key has expired. I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the article below and update your key and see if the problem is resolved.

http://www.KB.Sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=C1001838

I suggest you to contact your system manufacturer for assistance.

Thanks and regards.

  • Tips for Vista users

    Hi all

as I see it, these updates so much expected of Moduslink begin finally to flow, so I thought that it is perhaps a good idea to share experiences, I gathered in recent months.

First of all, I did a LOT of research before Vista was released and decided to do the upgrade for the following reason:

-Format and clean install not possible: MS changes its licensing policy so that upgrades can be installed since breast the previous installed Windows, which means that all OS reinstalls require XP installation first. Earlier Versions of Windows allowed by using the 'Previous Windows' CD as Validation for the upgrade.

For this reason (and also not really want to wait until April for Vista), I decided to buy a "System Builder" edition I intend to buy the Home Premium, as this edition would be enough in fact for me, but that the Ultimate of SB edition was only 70 Euros more, I decided to go to Ultimate. Here are the benefits that apply to my case:

-Ultimate is capable "Multilanguage": my Windows is the German Version and I love being able to "Switch language" when I want to.
-Full backup PC with Image: I'm not hink I need to talk about the importance THAT is ;-)
-The 'Ultimate Extras' are indeed pretty cool (no obligation, but 'Nice to have')

I thought that these reasons for 70 Euros ;-) indeed

Before installing my Vista, I gathered all the drivers and programs that I needed. I researched if the installed Applications that were pre-installed with XP on my laptop would go with Vista. My laptop (Purchsed 23.12.2006) came up with the following applications preinstalled:

    -MS Office OneNote 2003
    -Intervideo WinDVD 5
    -Sonic Record now

WinDVD and Sonic are on the drivers CD that I created under XP. OneNote is located on my C: drive (I think C:\Windows\Downloaded programs, but I do not remember).

    Comaptability:

-Sonic: Doesn't work well with Vista. Since I already have Nero 7, it didn't matter to me. Nero works fine with Vista.
-WinDVD 5: doesn't work well with Aero. I decided to purchas WinDVD 8 gold for 29 Euros and will not regret!
-MS OneNote 2003: works well with Vista with 1 annoying side effect; If you are running Vista with a Standard (Non-Admin) user account, you WILL be asked to accept the license agreement EVERY time that you start OneNote. This is because MS records the acceptance of the EULA in the registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office), where a Standard user cannot write to. To save the trouble of this just do the following:

Open Regedit as an administrator and navigate to the key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office and right click on "Desktop", go to "Berechtigungen" and give users full access to the key. After that, all standard users only be asked once to accept the EULA.

A Note for the drivers of Toshiba:

The drivers for the Grapich of Nvidia chip, as well as the WLAN Intel 3945ABG chip are exceeded. You can get the most recent driver for WLAN directly from Intel. Because the laptop manufacturers rarely updated their video drivers (which is very BAD for players), I strongly suggest that you visit www.laptopvideo2go.com. These guys make the effort to get the current Nvidia drivers and modify the INF file to be formatted for mobile devices. It's a 'Must Have' for your IE Favorites!

    Reading DVD with Media Player:

If you suffer from poor quality of playing DVDs (jerky video), then take a look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932649/en-us

I hope that sharing my experiences with Vista so far is able to help some of you to adapt to Vista. Vista is really a great operating system it can work fine on Toshiba laptops!

Good luck in your endeavours of Vista!

    Hi Steven

Thank you very much for this detailed view and for your time. It's nice to have lots of useful information and also learn more about your experiences with Vista.

  • Satellite L20 - drivers for Vista available?

    Hello

I use Satellite L20 with Windows XP. Now, I want to improve my OS to Vista/Windows 7. I've seen several people have not found drivers for L20. If I install vista on my L20 (PSL2XL-01R007), the drivers will be available?

    Please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    > Now I want to upgrade my OS to Vista/Windows 7
You want to upgrade to Vista * or * Windows 7?

    > I've seen several people have not found drivers for L20
I think that it s depending on whether Toshiba provides drivers for Vista or Windows 7 for Satellite L20. These drivers are usually placed on the official page to download driver of Toshiba.
Satellite L20 PSL2XL seems to be an Asian model, so I checked the Toshiba Asia page, but there are just available Windows XP drivers. The European page also shows only XP drivers :(

This means that only XP is supported, but you can try to get all the drivers yourself on external pages. Probably, you will find all the drivers you need. Here are some pages where you can perform a search:

    Good luck! :)

  • Re: Satellite A300-1 b 9 - cannot install updates for Vista and IE8

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 1 9 b I bought 9 months ago. It has Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1. I have serious problems with the updates:

1 Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x 86 - I can't install this for the last two months. Whenever it appears that the installation has failed.

2 security Update for Windows Vista (KB961501) can be installed as well

    3. my Internet Explorer 8 does not work for the past two weeks. I tried to download it and when I did, then, my computer does not restart. I had to use sans-echec Mode, uninstall IE8 to return to Normal Mode

    4. I also tried to download and install SP2 for Vista, but it failed.

I am very worried. Please suggest me what I should do.

    Thanks for your help.

I think that the decision of the antivirus program is a personal opinion

I put t like McAfee and Norton because they need a lot of system resources and do a slower computer.
I prefer AntiVir and Kaspersky Security suite. The two programs have good scan engine and don t need a lot of system resources. They are easy to use to use it.
AntiVir is free but it s just an antivirus. Kaspersky Security suite also contains a firewall, antispam filter and more.

It s your choice what program you are using. ;)

  • InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card - need driver for Vista OS

    Hello

I'm new to the Forum and I think that it is just the place to get answers to my questions?

OK, I use the laptop Toshiba Equium L10 and I just downloaded and installed the "public" version of Microsoft Windows VISTA beta 2.
The installation went very well and it took about 40 minutes and considering that it is only a 1.50 GHz Celeron (M), which was very good, but I'm having problems to make a software/driver for my '' integrated '' InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card, so for now, I can not connect to the internet on this subject. (On the bottom of the laptop, it has ' FOXCONN T60N871 802.11 b/g W/LAN Card "which I think is the real name for 'InPro Comm IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card'.)

I installed the software/driver LAN wireless from the utility CD, and although the software seems to be no problem, Windows does not detect the card and does not install the driver for it. I also tried Win Vista update, but nothing is found.

Does anyone know ho to get the software/driver to install properly so that Windows Vista can detect the card and install the driver and software?

If not, does anyone know of a driver updated for VISTA BETA2?

I would really like to keep Vista Beta2 on my L10 so if anyone has some tips that will get my built-in wireless card works, I would be very grateful. (BTW, I don't have a 'wired LAN').

    Concerning

    Hello

These days, a lot of users wrote vista and their experiences with the installation. As you know that officially there are no drivers available. I think that Toshiba will offer all the drivers at the point where vista is officially on the market.

You can post on this tread http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=13771 maybe Brave will give you more information about the installation on its L10.

  • Missing WinDVD BD for Qosmio F60

I have a Qosmio F60 PQF65A 065002 for awhile now, and I decided to upgrade to a version of Windows 7 Ultimate, you use a disc that I bought. However, which wiped out all my programs, including those of Toshiba himself.

An installation disc has not had for me in the box when I bought the laptop, so please don't tell me to use a disc.

I wonder where I can get the WinDVD BD for Toshiba Software, because it is not in the downloads section mytoshiba: http://www.mytoshiba.com.au/support/computers/qosmio/f60/pqf65a-065002/download?os=24

    Thank you

    > An install disc had no for me in the box when I bought the laptop, so please don't tell me to use a disc.
Sorry, but I must respond on this step. Since long time Toshiba doesn't offer recovery discs in the package and it is clearly described in the document of user s manuals this laptop owner should create recovery discs using preinstalled Toshiba Recovery disk creator tool.

Anyway, with the new laptop Toshiba offers several additional applications to offer all the features from the first start. One of them is Toshiba BD player. This feature is enabled and full version offered for customers of Toshiba. This tool is part of the recovery image only, and as far as I know, it is not available for free download.

As far as I know that Toshiba offers TOSHIBA Blu - ray disc player updates only.

  • TEMPRO does not work for Vista Ultimate x 64

    Hello

I have a Qosmio F50 - 10K and I installed Vista ultimate x 64 and the Tempro application does not work. After I installed, I left the start Tempro button checked and when I press finish it gives me this error:
    "internal error 2753.
    Toshiba.UI.controlpanelapplication.exe ".

Same thing happens when I uncheck the box with start tempro.

In both cases, nothing is left in the system, no files, no regstry, nothing.

    Help, please

    Thank you

    Hello!

I searched on the Toshiba driver download page and I discovered, Tempro is available for Vista 32 bit and not 64 bit.

I think so Tempro will not work on a 64 bit OS.

    Bye!

  • Where to find TEMPRO for Vista x 64

    Hello

Can you tell me if there's a TEMPRO for Vista x 64?
I installed 1.2 Tempro, and when it's done an error appears on the control panel.

    Thank you

Could you post the error message?
    Perhaps it would be useful.

But as far as I know that one Tempro tool can be downloaded from the Toshiba page and I guess that it was designed for 32 bit OS.

  • Need of energy saving for Vista on Satellite A100

I bought my A100 with XP Home almost a year ago.
I bought Vista Business Edition and I installed it on the PC.
I downloaded the vista from the support section drivers and install them.
Everything worked fine except for the following:
1 Toshiba power saver is not included in the vista drivers and the old version is not compatible with vista
2 - Toshiba PC config also the same problem

Can someone tell me how to get the new version of power saver and pc config for vista.
    my laptop is A100 (PSAA9).

    Thnx

    Hello

TOSHIBA Power Saver for Vista tool is not available. All you can do is to install the package of value-added and other Toshiba designed tools listed on the download page.

Many power settings are now part of the Vista operating system and Toshiba does not power the day before regarding the Windows XP Edition operating system family.

    Hello Federico

Problem is that no one knows exactly what laptop models will be supported for Vista. I put t know how it works for the laptop models to the United States, but only what you can do is to check the http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_home.jsp from time to time.

This link is for the Toshiba U.S. support page.

  • Number of validation for Vista winhlp32.exe

I have Vista and you install winhlp32.exe for Vista. I can't get a validation number on the Microsoft support site.

I click on continue and get a window of genuinecheck.exe instead of the Options/execute window for the validation issue.

Wanted to give you a follow-up for your help.  I found a person who opened at genuinecheck.exe. After providing the information required, it ran and installed the program without going through the validation number forest. If I need to do something more to give you credit, let me know.
