If I wipe the Pocket will however "options, security options, settings General, press the menu button then"Wipe handheld can I do a restore and get all my address book and messages backward until I save everythink?

Yes, provided that you have saved by using the Desktop Manager.

You can actually choose the databases you want to restore in the device, so you don't have to restore everything.

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

There are several methods (which, BTW, no I believe to be useful to your situation):

    • KB14058 How to delete all data and applications in the smartphone BlackBerry using the security option wipe

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

How to rub the disc of data/own?

You want to erase everything or just the address book?

If you want to erase all data from the device simply go to Options | Security options | General settings, display the menu and select wipe Handheld.

However if you want to just wipe the following AddressBook do. First to use backup and restore in the Desktop Manager to back up all data on your device. Then go to the backup and restore and hit him advanced. On the right, select the address book and press the clear button (if the address book is gray first enter in the address book, display the menu and choose Options.) Turn off wireless sync. Then you will be able to perform the above steps). Subsequently, you can use Backup and Restore to restore the data on your device.

  • Updates the device blackBerry Smartphones application

Recently, when I am connected to BB Desktop Manager, updates available. I agree with all of the updates and he did it successfully. However, whenever I now connect to Desktop Manager, I receive the same message saying that the same updates are available. If I agree to them, he then tells me no updates are available. How can I get rid of this message.

    Hello

In this case, we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry smartphone to make sure she is running the most recent version and there is no problems with the operating system on the device.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry Smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and plug in your device. Click the backup and restore options, and then select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the Smartphone BlackBerry software.

  • Question on the browsers on the storm blackBerry Smartphones

Hello everyone, I have a few questions about web browsers and the storm. If I still want to use a specific browser to a certain website how can I do this? The firefox browser remember passwords and login information? Is this a secure way to hold this info? Are there changes to settings that will speed up the loading of pages for web pages that have not been optimized for mobile devices? Thanks for any help you can provide me with Steve

Hi Steve, I'll do my best to answer your questions.

The main web browser (and one that opens automatically by clicking on links in emails and others) are the BlackBerry Internet browser.  This identification of the browser can be configured in three settings - BlackBerry, FireFox or Internet Explorer.  Usually, it is best to keep it on BlackBerry, but for some sites, it may be useful to define it on FireFox or Internet Explorer.  Make sure that JavaScript is activated for a better experience.

The BlackBerry browser will keep cookies, so you can choose of you connected to the sites if you wish leave (for example, I logged in on the forums here leaves).  This works even if you set your BlackBerry, FireFox or Internet Explorer browser identification.  As long as your phone is not stealing, it is of course (and if your password to protect your device, it is safe anyway).

A trick to speed up the loading of pages is to go to the options of your browser and under General Properties, set the Image quality to low.

Now, the BlackBerry browser is a slower browser, however, he accelerated with updates of the operating system.  If your operator has provided an update for your phone, I recommend that you install it.  If they are not, keep watching for him.  Another method is to try a different browser.  I tried two so far - the Bolt and Opera Mini browser.  Both are much faster than the stock BlackBerry browser and load quickly no optimized pages.  Bolt browser is the fastest.  Note that both of these browser are not perfectly optimized for the storm, so while that pages will load faster, you need to learn to use them properly.  The two should also be able to remember great cookies.

I hope that's what you're looking for, but do not hesitate to ask if you have any other questions!

  • Click on the screen blackBerry Smartphones PRIV

I just got a new unlocked AT & T PRIVATE today on Amazon, and the screen makes a rattling noise when they are hit.  On the web, there are a lot of people reporting a similar issue, suggesting turn the phone to try to fix it.  This has not worked for me.

Is it just a matter of getting a bad or a phone that has not been produced recently? Or PRIVs all will have this problem, even if they are not immediately, because of poor design or manufacturing?

    Hello

Not all PRIVATE have this problem, but there is no way to predict the outcome for you. Your best bet is to contact free support of PRIVATE formal BB:

  • Charging of the battery/blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry problems

... My Blackberry has problems. One night I plugged it to load (I always charge it all night, I think it's about 10% charge left). The next morning, I discovered that although I had plugged everything, it didn't load. So he then stop and not restart. When I plug it now, the light blinks red then the white screen with an empty battery icon opens. And does nothing else.

    --------------------

    UPDATE:

I downloaded the desktop from the disk software, plugged my BB to the computer, did nothing, now the light just flashes green (which I think indicates a full charge) but when I turn it on, it instantly says "battery discharged, turn off your handheld".

any suggestions? It's a little crazy.

Leave the appliance to charge 2-3 hours and then, always toujours relie connected to the USB cable, remove the battery from the camera a few seconds and plug it back. If it starts - let - the charges to 100% (check the Options > status for the percentage).

Here's some good advice from loading, please read and you will see that many of them will be applicable to you.

  • Storage of media file in the memory of the phone blackBerry Smartphones

I'm puzzled. The assumption that the memory of the smartphone (I have an a BB 8310) would store media files for example tunes, or at least some of them, but every time I try and drag a file from the Media Manager in the memory of the device, according to me, a message appears saying that there is not enough disk space. I only just bought the article, so I don't see how this could be possible. Is this a fault on my phone or they can be stored in a multimedia card (which I don't have yet)? Can someone help me with this, sorry I'm not a complete technophobe, it's just that NOWHERE in all the advice I have read it say NOTHING clear on this subject.

If you want to transfer multimedia files to the device, it is recommended that you purchase a microSD for storage of media. According to me, there is a limit of 2.86 MB file size when you transfer media files to the main memory of the device. Also, when you start to store multimedia files in main memory of the device, it eats memory, which can cause problems like the logs of calls and messages deleted to save space.
