I tried several times, making sure to save my default settings in CUPS (and indeed they appear here as Fast project, b & w only), but no matter which application print from - Safari, Chrome, text edit, etc.. - it prints in color and normal mode unless I manually selects the settings for that particular print job. This is especially a problem when printing things that are not pop up a print dialog, such as online coupons. I could easily change the settings of the default printer on my laptop and they apply to coupon print as well, but I'm having no luck with the Mac. Help, please! Thank you!

  There are two options in Mountain Lion when you add the printer HP CM1415fn (Apple-> preferences-> Print & Scan system): "AirPrint" and "HP LaserJet CM1410 Series.
