  • Satellite L750 - low wireless signal

I have a 5 day old L750 Satellite which can collect only 40% wireless signal less than 20cm from the router and loses signal total of about 2 m of him, turned to Toshiba support who suggested to the restoration of the system, did this and no improvement. Have you checked the Atheros driver and he said to his place to date, also checked the option to which has been suggested in other threads.

The router is good because my vintage Compaq and ipad2 have full strength signal of several rooms by far.

Please help as I'm pretty impressed with my first purchase of Toshiba and will return it if I can't solve this problem.

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem only with the Eco Mode setting or also with power plan to high performance? This means that you must define * Maximum Performance * power option for the WLAN card in terms of power.

Next to the update of the WLAN driver, you should also check the BIOS version. Take a look at the page if there is a newer version and if so try to update from Toshiba:

  • my printer will not get the wireless signal and so my laptop can not find print, what should I do?

How can I make the printer get the wireless signal?

1 Microsoft do not have printers - so it would not be my first option to ask in the forums to help MS.

    2. we have even less likely to help when you do not tell us what printer, what operating system, what router wi - fi or anything!

I suggest that you follow the instructions in your printer manual, with operating instructions of your wi - fi router to work things out.  You should connect the printer via a cable to the wireless installation.

If stuck try the support forums on the Web site of the manufacturer of the printer with the forums on the website of the manufacturer of the router.

  • In more of microwave ovens and cordless phones... can TV, VCRs interfere with WIRELESS signals.

    WIFI & PHONES WIRELESS, ETC.

In more of microwave ovens and cordless phones... can TV, VCRs interfere with WIRELESS signals.  I had to buy a cordless phone and it was always in the sealed box.  I was then with a laptop to the library branch when the librarian approached me and said that "even if unconnected cordless phones and microwave ovens, as well as TVS, VCRs and vacuums... can cause interference with the optimal speed of WIFI and efficiency... »

Can someone explain if it is absolutely correct.  Of course, I politely responded that given that the laptop was still in its original packaging and seal (I had just bought and not even opened) and unplugged, it could not interfere with anything.
    Please specify.
    Thank you.
    Joe

A non powered device (not plugged in, no batteries, etc.) cannot intervene in anything at all.  No power, no transmission, no interference. However, any electronic device can interfere to some extent with any other wireless signal, if it is running.

  • With the help of desktop computer as a wireless signal Repeater.

I recently moved and my for my PS3 wireless reception is terrible, so I was told I could use this other desktop computer, which receives the signal much better, as a relay instead of buy a wireless signal Repeater. How can I get this computer also spread the signal from the original router downstairs?

I'm sorry, but there is nothing built into Windows XP that can do what you want.

You might be able to do a search on the web and find a third party program to do this.

  • What's Dell Dimension 2400 desktop computer capable of capturing a wireless signal? Should this function be switched?

Dell dimension 2400 desktop computer was plugged into the wireless router we have. We got a new computer and moved the old desktop (Dell 2400) in another room. It is not picking up, or even searching for a wireless signal. She still has this ability? How can we it give this ability?

The Dimension 2400 is not normally a built-in wireless networking capability.  To view, go to the Control Panel > Classic view > System > hardware > Device Manager and double-click network adapters .

If that doesn't show wireless network card, you can add it by buying a USB wireless network adapter or a Wireless PCI adapter card .

  • If you turn off your WiFi router is still sending wireless signals?

I have the wrt54g router and if you set the 'disabled' wireless settings which means that WiFi is disabled, which stops the router actually send wireless signals?

I guess my question is do the WiFi compatible routers send wireless signals even if you "turn off" the WiFi option on your router? Thank you.

The WRT54G is an active wireless router. If you select off in the wireless tab then the router will not any signal wireless broadcast.

  • No 2nd router Wireless signal cascade

I have a wrt160n my main router cascading to one e1200 to the other end of my house. The idea was to improve wireless signal here. Has passed through a long discussion with Cisco support settnig system upward.

IP address of the e1200 occupies more than 5 outside main router, dhcp is disabled. Connection bewtween routers is Wan to Wan.

I wired the e1200 but no signal wireless signal. Any ideas?

You mentioned that there is a WAN - WAN connection. Is your E1200 a version 2 router? If the wireline work, the wireless should work as well. Were you able to configure the settings of you before Wireless 2 routers cascade? Did you use the same network names? If you have done so, turn off the WRT160N and leave the E1200 power and see if it is broadcasting. Otherwise, you will need to access the router's interface again and adjust the wireless channels.

  • EA 6200 wireless signal disappears momentarily and returns

I have a 6200 EA (EA6200), new with a computer, an apple TV and 4 Iphones/Ipads, all within walking distance.

My problem: every once in a while, the wireless signal disappears for a minute or two and then returns to normal.

During the navigation of the user interface, I was unable to find out if there is an event log to show what is happening, so that I'm flying blind.

Which never happened with my much more old linksys wireless adapter.

    Thank you!

    Hi elnuevohomero,

This may be caused by interference. Ensure that the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks have different SSID. Try changing channels as well.
You can try using 6,3,9 or 1. It is also recommended to place the router on a higher location, where it can broadcast wireless signal properly.

  • E4200 v2 wireless signal power is intermittent

    Just updated firmware for 2.1.39.144146

have 5 GHz mode - mixed, WPA2, 40 mhz, channel 161 channel width

the rule 2.4 GHz mode - mixed, WPA2, 20 mhz, Channel 6 channel width

Online technical support said it could solve my problem, but my old e1000 had a stronger and more coherent (fluctuating) broadcast signal.

My PC and the router are in the family room at the back of the House. The signal strength is Ok in the first room, but 2nd room in front of the House (30 feet and two walls away) it is 3 bars to nothing all the time. We have a guest who stay with us two days a week. There has never been a problem with the signal strength of the e1000 for recent years, but the v2 e4200 behaves like a piece of * beep *. I spent over 60 minutes with an online support person whose answer was to upgrade the firmware (which of course now removes a direct access to the router via the browser.)

I hope that someone knows what I need to do to make this work, or it goes back to Amazon and I'll buy another brand of dual band N router.

Change the channel of your router to 1, 9 or 11 to optimize your wireless signal. Maybe this link can help http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21132/change-your-wi-fi-router-channel-to-optimize-your-wireless-sign....  If still the same, I think this device needs to be replace.

  • How to enter a wireless signal and convert Ethernet cable?

I'm totally bafled by the nomenclature of wireless gadgets and would appreciate help. I already have a wireless router that allows my laptop work anywhere in my house. My need is to recover the wireless signal and somehow get this signal into an Ethernet cable.

The reason is that my DVR (Replay TV) connects to Internet via Ethernet (not USB) cable and I want to move to a place where it would be impractical to try the new wiring through the walls.

    Thank you!

You need a "wireless ethernet bridge", like the WET54G, WET200 or WET610N.  Once you set up the device, just wire your DVR to it.

  • Weather a barrier on the power of the wireless signal?

FREE WI - FI, RAIN & SNOW

If a Protocol "N" dual-band WI - FI adapter which is connected directly to the USB port of a laptop computer inside the House and the router is in the garage about ten feet, should there be a weakening of the reception quality in the good House when it happens to be raining or snowing in the area of 10 feet between the garage and the House?  In other words, in addition to METAL interference or microwave OVENS or WIRELESS PHONES... not the weather elements possibly hinder these network connections?

I thank very you much for any information.
    Joe

    Hello

The weather could affect the signal strength. Radio transmission uses digital spread spectrum. Even if a small problem can spend because of lightning nearby, the packet will be retransmitted, you won't notice a difference. (Unless the lightning blew your 2.4 GHz wireless system telephone and microwave ovens are generating more effective disruption.

  • Wireless signal detection

I have a WRT160N router that I currently use. When I'm doing a my computer wireless signal, my router does not show up on top of the list. It is therefore on the list when I put up like WEP, but will not be displayed when I went back to WPA2. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? It happens even with my Google phone mytouch.

Well, I think that in this case you have to modify some additional settings on your router. Follow the steps below and change the settings of your router.

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... Let the empty user name & password use admin lowercase...

For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.

    Click on the Wireless tab

-Here, select manual configuration... Wireless network mode must be mixed...

-Provide a unique name in the name box of the wireless network (SSID) in order to differentiate your network from your network of neighbors...

-Set the Standard - 20 MHz Radio band and change the Standard channel to 11-2, 462 GHz... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled and then click on save settings...

Please take note of the name of the wireless network (SSID) because it's the network identifier...

    For wireless security: -.

Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security...

Change the mode of WPA wireless security, encryption, select AES... Password input your desired WPA key. For example, MySecretKey, this will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone.

NOTE: The password must be more than 8 characters...

    Click the settings advanced wireless

Change the tag to 50 interval > change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 > click 'save settings '...

Now let's see if you can locate your wireless network and try to connect...
