  We live in very slow download speeds.  All other computers and devices in the House can stream video without problem.  Speed tests test our laptop Vaio 2009 to 16 Mbps download and 6 Mbit/s upload.  The Dell is the same download speed, but the download speed is 512 Kps!  It's like the beginning of the 1990s with telephone lines.  We called Dell a week ago and they told us to reload the driver for the wifi card.  The suggestion does not and we could not reload the driver and it made it unnecessary to the wireless card.  They sent us a new desktop case and put us together today and got the same results with slow download speed.  Need help with any suggestions that anyone has to correct the problem of download speed.

• Slow download speed after downgrading to Windows 7 64 bit

  Hi all!

  I'm new here! My first laptop is a Toshiba Satellite since 2003. Since then, I got one couple of others.
  Now I bought a new: Satellite P70-A-11V, a portable professional high-end computer, which came with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1.

  Unfortunately, the degraded system so bad that all pendrives made plant. I have connected my Toshiba camcorder, and it also crashed the laptop. The search indexing was not working outside the C: drive. The pointer of an optical mouse has started to freeze for seconds on the screen.

  This last problem, which I think was due to the low power USB ports. So, I really had no choice after 2 restorations system total and installed Windows 7 Enterprise x 64 SP1. The operating system seems ok, but I always have problems, and one of them is that my download speed is very low, as well with LAN cable or wireless. I can't tell how is download speed.

  My internet provider provides 100 MB/s internet access via optical cable. I test on Speedtest.net and normally, it gives a range of 50 to 80 Mbps actual download speed. • On R7500/R7800 slow download speeds

  Hello:

  R7500 and R7800: I see slow speeds (wireless). Wired devices do not exhibit this problem.

  After that spend many hours of research and talking with support (which replaced my unit) I found that the problem is with the WAN port. The problem does not exist when you use a switch between the router and the modem netgear. I saw several people in the forums to have this problem so I hope this helps.

  I don't think that this workaround is however acceptable.

  Is this something that can be fixed with a firmware version?

  Steps to reproduce in my case are very simple:

  1 - R7500/R7800 connect to a POE Ubiquiti - 24 - 12 10/100 (in my case I have internet citiwide wireless). Make sure your download speed is greater than 20

  2 - test the wireless and wired with the netgear router and the router netgear download speeds.

  Hi @cssva3 you have the latest firmware installed on your router?

  If this is not the case, see this link on how to upgrade the firmware.

  After the update of the firmware, reset the router by pressing the reset for 20 seconds button.

  Once done, reconfigure the router to get Internet connection.

  I have a HP Pavilion g6-2260sh laptop with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.

  My problem is that the internet download speed fell from 80 Mbps at 3-4 Mbps. Download speed remained the same as before, the 25 Mbits. My laptop is connected to a router with another laptop and a PC. These 2 computers have excellent internet speeds.

  I reinstalled the operating system, but the problem persists. After reinstalling, the speed was very good, maybe an hour and then she fell to 3-4. I only installed the drivers from hp, nothing else driver finder.

  Since the update to the latest FW (1.1.10.167514) my downloads were excruciatingly slow.  My ISP connection should allow download speeds close to 100 Mbit/s, and I could download approaching the sppeds before the recent FW update. Now I see bearly over 10 Mbps of download speed.  In addition, where Windows wifi signal meter shows 5 bars before the update, it now saves only 2 bars, when I connect to the router to 5.0 GHz.   What is happening and how to downgrade to the previous verision of the FW? Thank you

  Bought a different router - I now get 7Mbs down and 3 upwards.

  More expensive - but you get what you pay for.

  Just got my setup Q180 last night. It is connected to my wireless N. Note that, while I watch YouTube videos is often missing from buffer. Has decided to perform a speed test www.speedtest.net. The results show .65mb speed and 6.5 MB speed. My service should be 20 MB down and 10 MB upwards. So high speed seems just, but download speed is TERRIBLE, he turns to 2% what it should be. • Slow download speed of RVS 4000

  I use a Cisco RVS 4000 to test a new internet connection of 10 M / 10 M.  I'm having a little problem, the test of speed of PSI (speedtest.cavtel.net).  Download test always gives me 10Mbit/s, maximum for the connection speed, but the download speed is usually about 5.5 Mbps. My ISP has been on site and checked the lines and tested directly, and we determined that if connected directly we can test to complete download speeds, but when the RVS is connected, we can get full speed.

  We tried different cables, reset to factory settings, update firmware, change the port settings and toggling the majority of the other setting on the router. Some settings have a minor effect on the speed of download, but nothing that gets me back up to 10 Mbps.

  I noticed that there seems to be no way to set parameters of speed and trading on the WAN port. Perhaps miss me him, because this seems like a possible culprit.

  Otherwise, the only one I can think of is a guarantee of return to determine if the device is defective.

  Lenovo-7258-B3U has a problem in which Web pages load very quickly, however, it does not download and when it does it is very very slow. I reloaded Windows and still the same issue. I tried downloads from many different websites, same problem. When another computer is connected to the same network connection, it works very well. Then obviously there is something wrong with this computer. I'm on W7 64-bit with 3 GB of ram. My ping speed is 51ms. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  If your switch is Gigabit capable and you use a category Ethernet cable damaged or raining, the error rate adversely affect file transfers, but not web browsing so much.
