With HAL SQL connection

Hi all

I want to extract data from Essbase and the load to the SQL table, can someone tell me the best way to do it.
I have the HAL with me - is it good to use HAL or is there any other way to do this?

Thank you

Depends on what version you're on, HAL is roughly at the end of his life, but if you have to use it, you can use an ODBC adapter to connect to the database.
Other options will need to use the ODI or you could try the command DATAEXPORT (BSO) to extract a table or a flat file.

See you soon

  • Connection of ColdFusion with MS SQL 2005

    Please help with this question, if you have any suggestions. I am trying to establish a connection to my IIS with ColdFusion server to another local server with a database of MS SQL 9.0. I can connect to this database using Enterprise from another computer, but when I use the same user name and password in ColdFusion I get the following error:

    Connection verification failed for data source: FORMS
    java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] [SQL Server] Login failed for user 'domain\coldfusion '. The user is not associated with a SQL Server login that is approved.
    The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SQLServer JDBC Driver] [SQL Server] Login failed for user 'domain\coldfusion '. The user is not associated with a SQL Server login that is approved.

    I have reinstalled ColdFusion without error and have also installed the JDBC MS MS SQL 2005 driver but still the same error.

    Thanks for your suggestions you may have.

    If there is no one else with this problem, I have something you can try. It worked for me and I can't connect to SQL 2005 using ODBC Socket. The IIS computer has been using the system identification information and not the power of ColdFusion, I had created.

    On the ColdFusion application server goto the properties of the Server ODBC and the CF officer. Under LogOn change the connection information for the username and password you have set up for ColdFusion for both and then restart these services. When you configure your ODBC Socket do not include the username or password information.

    I hope that CF8 will include Windows authentication. Even with this workaround, we will have to mixed authentication on SQL which is not ideal.

  • Reference Dell EQL PS4100xv problem with MS SQL replication

    Hello

    I have a Dell PowerEdge server R420 connected to an EQL. Is installed ESXi 5.1 U1 (free version). It is only a data store.

    VM is running Windows 2008 R2 STD with MS SQL 2008 R2 STD. The change in size of database per day is around 2 to 3 MB of base on my daily full backups via the MS SQL backup.

    However, when I throw a replication session between my EQL PROD and DR EQL which size of delta is ranging from 1 GB to 50 GB every time that I run a replication? Interval is about 5 to 10 minutes. I tried 20 minutes also the size to replicate is erratic.

    Why is so huge its more than 1000 MB per replication.

    Hope someone can help me with that.

    Thank you

    Paul

    Re: Storage Direct.  Yes, if you configure these volumes SQL replication, only the changed data will be included.  Only VM will see to all the files in the data store.   However, you still want to replicate your VMFS, but not as often as SQL datastore.

    Re: optimize.  Article I included has the registry setting you need.  This works for all storage formatted to NTFS.

    In addition, when you format the SQL data / log volumes, has the NTFS 64 K cluster size.   The default value is usually 4 or 8 K.  This will align all the writings and readings on the 64K of distribution of the EQL table size.   This improves performance of I/o.

  • Pool pane there problem with long sql query?

    Hello

    I use Jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.0

    In the application I'm developing, there is a long sql query to call (it's a function from a package, which may take a few minutes to run) and I want to display a progress bar for the user.

    The progress bar component is a "progress indicator" and the percentage of achivement is refreshed by a component 'pool' with 1-second interval.

    The two components are connected in a javabean.

    The function with the sql query is the javabean too.

    To run the sql query that is long on background I am calling from a thread, and the pool component get the advancement of the percentage of a pipe filled with the sql function.

    If the function to run is just a long loop of java operations the progress bar works fine, but if I put my long sql query instead, stop listener pool should be performed to stop long, s sql queryo progress are updated only at the end of the long sql query.

    You have any ideas?

    Thank you

    Thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, it was not the solution to my case, sql procedures to block the entire application while ADF awaits them at the end...

    To solve my problem, I finally used a PL SQL Job to call my sql procedure (dbms_job.submit).

    The application is released right after the call and the component of the pool is not more secure!

  • Loads of parallel data through SQL connect and replace existing data

    I'm doing a load of multiple data through SQL Connect using the following statement.  Just try to put in place a .bat file to automate the process but not sure that whenever it executes this statement adds data to existing or replaces the data? I tried to write an override for this but it works for instructions which contain the import section.

    Import of database data App.DB connect as username identified by password

    with the help of several rules_file, rul1, rul2, rul3

    load_buffer_block starting with buffer_id 10 on error write to 'C:\\dataload.err ';

    We can add spec commit buffer such as "replace all data ', 'create group', 'Add' to this import statement? The default declaration overrides the value whenever the data is loaded?

    Thanks in advance!

    you have an option in the rules file "Overwrite out of values."

  • Berkeley DB 6 with API SQL and CLOB, BLOB column type.

    Hello

    What is the critical error-

    SQL Server does not exist or accessdenied. {NativeErr 08001, = 17}

    coming from SQL * Server. The bridge that makes the connection, but then hit a problem SQL * Server itself.

    When other customers have had this error, the solution was to modify the SQL * Server configuration port based instead of named instances.

    Could check you with your SQL * Server DBAs?

    If you have access to My Oracle Support look at that note.

    DG4MSQL gives an error - SQL Server does not exist or the access denied - with NativeErr 17 and 67 (Doc ID 1482030.1)

  • Using XQuery with PL/SQL, link the Variable

    I am only able to find an example of use of xquery with pl/sql.

    [http://www.comp.dit.ie/btierney/oracle11gdoc/appdev.111/b28369/xdb_xquery.htm#CBAEEJDE]

    Why is what they show only using bind variables? It's the only way it should be used, it provides a performance gain more simply by using the crossing clause and a passing beam a PL/SQL variable? I'm looking to implement a solution for my company using Xquery in PL/SQL. I am concerned that these procedures will be called during a flow of the user interface and performance it must be as soon as possible.

    A PL/SQL variable, column, or the output of another operation would be all be equivalent to a connection variable that PL/SQL compilation is concerned. Which would be bad practice would be to build in XQuery with the predicate hardcoded in the XQuery operation whenever the XQuery query has been run.

  • Oracle 9i with microsoft sql server.

    How to connect oracle 9i with microsoft sql server.

    simply the following steps...

    Oracle9i, like the previous versions, supports heterogeneous services in order to allow data in the non-Oracle database to be queried using SQL. This support was in the form of transparent gateways, which are connectivity, vendor specific or generic using ODBC or OLEDB to connect. Features supported by a generic connectivity are generally more limited than as possible when using the vendor specific gateways, but it is fast and simple to configure. The following steps can be used to connect to Oracle to any compatible ODBC database (MS Access, SQL Server etc.) on the local server:
    Make sure that a valid user name and password are present for the non-Oracle (MyUser/mypassword) database.
    Create a data source ODBC for database non-Oracle (Network1).
    Create a file called: "ORACLE_HOME\hs\admin\initACCESS1.ora", which contains:

    HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO = Network1 #ODBC DSN
    HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL = OFF
    Add the following entry in the tnsnames.ora file:

    NETWORK1. WORLD =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = tcp)(HOST=localhost) (PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ACCESS1))
    (HS = OK)
    )
    Add the following entry in the listener.ora file:

    (SID_DESC =
    (SID_NAME = NETWORK1)
    (ORACLE_HOME = D:\Oracle\Ora\9011)
    (PROGRAM = hsodbc)
    )
    Reload the listener: lsnrctl reload
    Create a database to help link:

    CREATE DATABASE LINK access1.world CONNECT TO 'MyUser' IDENTIFIED BY 'MyPassword' USING "Network1. WORLD ';
    Query the table to help:

    SELECT *.
    OF [email protected];
    With MS Access, the first query is slow because of the request for access is loading. As expected, the following queries are not displayed a similar shift.

  • Seeing orange blinking after that stop with the charger connected.

    Hello

    I'm new here and I have the following problem.

    Four months after buying the PC (Satellite-Z930-103) I had a battery problem. Suddenly the orange led blinking and the laptop could not be launched. Toshiba service replaced the battery and everything worked fine for about two months. Then the same thing happened again. Because I was working in China, I opened the laptop and disconnected the battery and can be used with the charger connected.

    The PC was sent to a point of service when I arrived at home, where they still indicated a battery problem and offered to change the battery. Because the warranty was expired, I had to pay for it. I refused, because the price they were charging was 300 euros.

    To the surprise... when I received it from the point of service, they have reconnected the battery and the service report said "computer does work well, no fault found '...

    Since I started my fight with Toshiba support and tried to find me a solution. However, the problem was not resolved until today and I have to disconnect the battery and plug it in again after waiting a day every time I forgot to unplug the charger when the shutdown or when he goes into sleepmode) I became an expert at opening and closing of the laptop...

    In any case, maybe someone has the same problem and found a solution, I suppose that it may be a software problem, but Toshiba has not solved until today.

    To describe the problem even once:

    Orange (power) led starts flashing as soon as the computer is powered down (or "standby mode") with the charger connected.
    If this happens, I opened the laptop and disconnect the battery (so I can work with feeder pugged in)
    Then the next day I open the laptop again and re-connect the battery. It works fine until I still forget to unpug the charger, turn off or restart the laptop.

    I'm guessing it's a problem of software and a few simple arrangements or a re-installation of something, it can be solved.

    Because I travel a lot, I love the little thing but I got frustrated at the moment.

    It would be great if I'm right, and someone already had this thing resolved!
    THX advance for any help!

    Peter

    Satellite Z930 is very nice machine designed for mobile use and I am really sorry to hear that you have such problems. I imagine that you can't find some identical threads on this forum so I hope this isn't a "general problem" with this machine.

    I am not a technician but I can't imagine this problem described has something to do with the settings of the software. In the BIOS, you cannot change a large part and in windows, there is a standard Windows power settings and several Toshiba avancΘs.
    Electronic power placed in the motherboard has a few 'standard' functions and switch automatically between battery and power running.

    I can't say for sure, but I guess there must be some problem with electronic power supply. It is not easy to say what the problem is here, and I really wonder that Toshiba service provider was not able to identify the reason why all this is happening.

    Let's see what the other members of the forum think problem described.

  • Loading slow web page and with Airport Extreme connection speeds

    About 5 days ago, I noticed a significant slow down the loading of web pages. In some cases, I see a blank white screen for up to a minute before the page is loaded. In others, the page never loads at all. And sometimes they load very quickly as expected. This happens with my iMac that is connected to a router via ethernet, as well as my Macbook Air connected via Wifi to Airport Extreme.

    I have a high-speed internet connection by cable Comcast/Xfinity: Blast 250Mbps.

    I tried to connect my iMac directly on the model of cable (Arris Surfboard SB6183), and there is no problem. Download speed was 30Mbps 300Mbps and upload.

    Then, I plugged my Airport Extreme router again and connected the iMac to the router via Ethernet. Download speed dropped to 100 Mbps!

    This suggests that the problem may be with the Airport Express. It is not a wireless problem, because as you can see the download speed went from 300Mbp/s connected directly to the model 100 Mbps when connected to the Airport Extreme.

    How do I troubleshoot/fix this?

    One last thing: I did a speed test with my Macbook Air that is connected via Wifi and the Airport Extreme router. Download speed dropped to 35 MB/s.

    Direct connection to the modem is so very fast, suggesting the internet connection Comcast isn't the issue. Speed falls even with ethernet to the Airport Extreme router connection, then decreases even more with the Wifi connection.
