  I'm trying to understand how to create a button inside a movieclip.  I have a model that has movieclips in movieclips, and when I create a button (while using AS2) the button works if I test the stage, but in the whole flash movie it does not work.  I have also a few buttons inside a ScrollPane who also do not call correctly.

  I use this code for my button:

  Different code depending on how you assign it. what you show seems to be mixing up both ways...

  Hi, I'm new to Flash and I encountered a problem, I have just resolution of the Cant.

  I have a floating frame and the contents of this frame contains various buttons.

  The user clicks on a button and a new button will appear with information on this subject. At this point, I want to prevent the user to scroll the image.

  I understand the scrollDrag = false; command, but I do not know how to approach the scrollable frame of in the framework itself.

  There are a variety of ways to address the issue.  It would be to have all the code in one place, as the main scenario and target all content from there, whatever in even within the frame of scrolling.

  Another way to approach it would be to use 'this' to target the current timeline and "parent" to target the object containing.

  Still another way is to have the functions that relate to the control of the parent object in the parent timeline and assign event listeners to the internal objects, such as internal objects simply send an event.  The auditor assigned to the event calls the function that lives in the parent timeline.  This works well for situations where the blade is a responsible external file that must be run on its own.

  The error you mentioned does not match the description of the usual Windows blue screen errors. When I put this error for a web-search, it has proved to be a common problem with some HP computers.   I try to create a MSS with a layout that uses a floating in the first State framework (topic #s photo #1) with links on each number button to display the details of each item in other States (photo #2) I have all the name done correctly without any <>and nesting as well (I think) but when I saw this on desktop and ipad the buttons work , but not the image scrolling.   Scenario #1: I created an image in Flash CS3, I use with Actionscript 2.0. I have 12 small pictures on the chassis that are buttons.
  Scenario #2: In a single frame, I added a clip that is 12 larger images and a description of each in their own framework along the time line.
  
  Try as I might I can't work, how the buttons work. I want the user to click on one of the buttons and for the enlarged image in the clip to appear in the main part of the film.

  It's always a bit difficult to say how you have things set up, but here's a solution possible scenario...

  First of all, you have essentially 13 points, 12 buttons and a movieclip with larger images. Give all instance names in the properties panel.

  Let's say that you named the first button: btn1
  and the movieclip is named: imgs_mc
  and the first image of the movieclip aligns with the btn1 goal...

  Btn1.onRelease = function() {}
  imgs_mc.gotoAndPlay (1);
  }

  Well, since today, when I try to move/rearrange my tabs on the tab bar, the 'move' tab to copy! So instead of moving, I add another tab with the same Web page. Also I can't add tab for the bookmarks bar or by dragging with the left button of the mouse on it.

  I even tried restarting my computer, my firefox nightly and even rebooted in safe mode. Oh and I have the latest update. If someone has an idea?

  Well after that the next update on every night, the problem has been fixed.

  Frame 2 - Select sheets by clicking on the image (tree top or bottom) or text, leaves description becomes visible

  Do the video clip of each region of image tree and drop it on the layer smaller on top with alpha 0%

  Create a badge of the clip, and then tap on timeline with each framework has put in evidence and description

  Make the text button, then tap chronology framework with each has put in evidence and description

  Trunk frame – more small area place top layer

  Branches Frame - smaller than the leaves but superior to the place of the trunk between the two

  Framework of leaves - most square of the area on the layer under the Branches

  Can anyone offer any suggestions?  I used to program 5.5 Flash with Actionscript 2.0, but difficulties with Animate and Actionscript 3.0.  I don't know if I have to use swaps or specific images, but when viewing, he travels all frames without stopping even if each image as the AS command stop ();

  Yes, if your buttons or movieclips, overlap one on top Gets the default click event. So, if you decide to create separate movieClips or separate buttons, be sure to give everyone an exclusive space.

  One approach I've used in the past for such things is to open the work, the tree in Photoshop then "cut" art into segments and put each segment in a different layer in Photoshop. Then you can import that art directly in to animate and each layer will import under a separate post. Then you can combine them into a movieClip to a work of art on the stage. From there, you can select each segment and each a movieClip or button you want.

  Right, I started my journey to the bottom of the more 'Advanced' way of using Powercli scripting languages and in the process have resulted in a few questions that I try to answer. I have created an advanced function of earlier and was very "impressed" (sorry only word I could think ) with it as it has been very useful in my work on the day the day.   So after having posted on gettting here and thankfully not only my answered by LucD but LucD send me pointers as to where I can go to the question. I read the links he sent me and same have bought book of Steve Jins. My knowledge is improvin, but seem to be stuck here and need help.

  I have attached my function below and would like someone to talk me through the following:

  1. I understand the cmdlet Get-view works now and especially in conjunction with my function below. I tested it and it works great and IS faster than just using the approach of the cmdlet. I understand that the .NET view is simply a larger range of objects that can be much faster retrieve? He has worked and is faster when I tested it. I am so satisfied with the aspect of get-view of things.

  2. now leading me on the method of UpdateViewData() - how can I (or can I?) incorporate into my function. I added in, but I don't know if I used it properly, or even if it's supposed to be used like this if someone can help that will be greatly appreciated.

  You can not 'keep' a State, that's what I said in my first answer: "you can create an image with that look of '3' State, make it invisible and show it with the same action when a button is triggered. The three States you're talking about are in a totally different way to Captivate: for down, more and up-state.   No need for all the variables. Looks like you have a lot to learn about variables and advanced actions. I don't see another easy way to achieve what you want. It is not so difficult, tons of examples on my blog.

  I would use a SmartShape as a button that changes color in the overview.

  • Is it possible to apply a button style (which has one up, down and State) to a SmartShape?
  • If not, is it possible to set up and down and on States of a SmartShape you can for a button?
  • If not, is it possible to use a combination of a SmartShape and a form of Roll-Over to get the same result? I tried, but the form of Roll-Over covered then the button... then it was not clickable.

  Unfortunately I can't use a button, as this will happen at a Question slide.

  I like the intelligent forms to aid in the form of button, almost do not use the normal buttons more. They are not used three States, but the functionality of pressing (form shrinks a little pressed) is OK for me to have other benefits: being able to convert free-form of change, fill with gradients, images, textures, doubling as containers for text with many possibilities of formatting, like bearings etc..

  Static button widget has been what I recommended in previous versions, when requiring something interactive (with limited functionality and design possiblities) on a question or a model of slides, but now I use more.

  I suspect, not sure, that the old buttons just disappears, just like the old bitmap based text captions, to be totally replaced by forms. Shapes are vector, I miss more opportunities publishing (real pen with its tool), and especially which is capable of recording forms customized with the advanced actions and all formatting attached to them. So you see, I want extension of them and perhaps also the possibility of having more of two States, but not in the first place.
