WLC Backup Version vs Recovery Image Version field

Anyone know the difference between the Version of the backup and the version of the Image field of the recovery of the IOS on a WLC? I have recently updated my WLC 5508 to the new code and the version of backup is infact the previous active version I was running but the field recovery Image version is now the previous backup version. I was wondering what the differences were. Is the FRIV a backup for the backup? Thank you.

Chris.

The field recovery Image, it's what you get when you interrupt the boot process.  The backup image, as you noted, is the last image you upgraded.

So if you are running 6.0.196.0 and upgrade to 7.2.130.0, 6.0.196.0 will be the image of "backup."  If you hit the CLI and boot config backup.  During the next restart the WLC will mount on 6.0.19.60(though il est toujours considéré comme sauvegarde et 7.2 sera «primaire»)

  • PSSQLDEFN version field

    Hey all,.
I have a VERSION in PSSQLDEFN field. whenever I have change the SQL code in app engine and check the last update for this app SQL engine oprid in the PSSQLDEFN table, the version is changed.

Can any body please let me know what that means this field and on what basis it gets changed.

    Thank you in advance.

Fields of version and PSVERSION table is used to keep the caching of objects of metadata on the application server.

You will find a VERSION field on all tables in the metadata definition (PSDBFIELD, PSRECDEFN, PSPNLDEFN, PSPNLGRPDEFN and so on)

Whenever you update a defintion, PeopleSoft will examine PSVERSION table for definition Manager (field OBJECTTYPENAME), fetch VERSION and update the metadata table

    In short,.
-Select the PSVERSION VERSION where objecttypename = "SRM" (= "SRM" objecttypename corresponds to PSSQLDEFN)
-Increment the VERSION of 1 and update the field VERSION table metadata

  • Problem backup recovery image on USB - recognizes no not my USB after inserting

    Hello

I watched the video and read the instructions to create a collection on

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733

    and did the following:

    1. Closed all programs and disconnected from the Internet;
    2. Wanted for HP Recovery Manager on the splash screen;
    3. Clicked on "Create recovery media" when the box of HP Recovery Manager came;
    4. Checked 'I agree' and click 'continue' on the next screen;
    5. Insert a USB Flash drive into one of the USB ports.
    6. A window pops up showing immediately that the USB Flash drive came with a SanDisk SecureAccess software;
    7. Closed the window without activating it / install the software.
    8. A noted USB Flash control box lights and a circle trotted under the three boxes supports
    9. Disconnected the USB Flash key;
    10. Insert the USB Flash drive to the two other USB ports and repeat all the steps and got the same results.

Here are the details of my laptop and a USB Flash drive:

    Laptop HP Pavilion g

    Windows 8 (64-bit)

    SanDisk Ultra USB Flash Drive

    32 GB

Software compatibility: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X v10.5 +.

I checked with success a recovery image on a SanDisk 32 GB USB Flash Drive for my other front HP laptop with no problems at all.  Given that the USB Flash drive is not longer than 32 GB and is not Compatible Windows 8, I don't know why it did not work this time.

The only thing is I don't remember if my other SanDisk Flash Drive USB provided with the SanDisk SecureAcess software.   This is why the process has failed?  If so, USB Flash Drive which brand is a good option?

    Thank you.

Hello anita1wu. I understand that you have recovery problems with your USB SanDisk player. I will answer all of your questions for you both:

1 SanDisk has always be my brand name 'To Go' because it lacks never me, that is until now.  Could you recommend me a reliable brand?

-Technically, I would suggest to buy HP USB sticks. However, in the end regardless. A 32 GB HP USB is essentially identical to a 32 GB USB Lexmark.

    2. am I correct that regardless of the brand name, I have to avoid getting a USB Flash drive that comes with a secure, or any software or features additional 'bonus '?

-C' is correct. With a view to the recovery process, you don't want anything on the drive that could take place. In addition, a recovery drive must contain only the relevant recovery software. Something else may have conflicts later.

I would like to know if this answers your questions, and if you have any other questions. I'm only here to help!

  • Is there a recovery for an Acer C720P image, or should I use the 720 recovery image?

I would like to create a USB stick recovery, but am unable to find an image for my Acer C720P. May then jeutiliser the 720 generic write on the USB recovery image I want to use for the recovery / emergency purposes? Any help apreciated.

    Hi globetrotterdk,

Yes, the creation of the image in the Chrome operating system or by using the recovery utility of Chrome on a PC base with a Chrome browser will allow you to create a backup of Windows. The version of Chrome OS will be determined by what you and your material, so no reason to choose anything and for recovery of Chrome utility, they are trying to simplify this away so many different types of chromebooks, use the generic C720 will work for you.

  • Replace the Windows 8 of HPs recovery image with windows 8.1

    Hello

Is after going through the upgrade process to windows 8.1 on my HP Envy X 2, now possible to replace the recovery image by default on my partition recovery with one for version 8.1?  I don't want to have to re - update if I do a "refresh your PC without affecting your files' or 'remove all and reinstall Windows.

Is it possible and supported by HP to change the recovery image in the recovery partition?

If so, is there any procedure for support to do?

    Concerning

    Anthony

Sorry, but no.... the Windows 8 by default on the HP Recovery partition recovery image is the only one available. It's the image of origin provided by HP and there is no procedure or the option to change or replace this image with a newer version.

Please see HP Forun thread titled "8.1 recovery disks" for more information on this topic. My suggestion is to use Windows "Backup of System Image" utility to create a picture of the partition Windows 8.1 as it is currently, on an external hard drive. If your computer develops questions or you need to replace the hard drive, all you have to do is to "restore" the image on the computer. Please see Windows 8.1 Tip: use System Image backup for instructions on creating and restoring a 'Windows - System Image backup.'

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Installation of recovery image on Satellite L500D

Am trying to re - install windows 7 on Satellite L500D. I'm having all kinds of problems with the computer because it has been infected by malware or viruses, don't know that. I have already backed up all my documents, photos and files pst on an external hard drive.

I press '0' when the power and then got the following options.

First option is 32 or 64 bits,
I chose 32 that the vehicle has currently 32-bit installed.
Warns next option, I selected Yes.
Next option is factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-the-box). or erase the hard drive, I chose the default settings restoring.
    Then there's 3 options,
1 recovery of out-of-the-box-state (System Recovery Options include).
    2. recovery without changing hard drive partitions, or
    3. recover to custom size partition. I thought I chose Option 1, but it shows all partitions will be deleted and you will lose all data on the hard drive.

This means that I will delete the windows installs partition?
    Choose option 2?
Option 2 says "the first partition is deleted and you will lose all data on the partition. I am thinking 2 option?

On a separate issue, I could install the 64 bit version of Windows, if so it would be an advantage?

    Hello

Detailed explanations on the recovery image installation, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Please check it and I hope you find al the info you need there. I always use Recovery option out-of-box state > system recovery options are included.

Your system is infected of course and you have to complete resettlement in order to not make this so complicated. Back up all your data and install recovery image using option 1. No matter what will be removed and what not. Drive HARD integer should be cleaned.

I recommend you to use the version of 64-bit operating system.
Very nice article about 32 and 64 bit versions OS, you can find here.

  • A few questions about the recovery image installation

A recovery USB drive created using the Recovery Media Creator contains the Windows operating system and is it the Windows key to reinstall - how it is activated. Is it different for the repair disk.

Can be used for a new installation of Windows 7 on a new SSD? Is this just a case of connection and the recovery disc running on the new drive to th? How the recovery Partition can be re-created on a new SSD?

    Drop Hello

I can see user Justinian gave detailed answers, and I hope you understand how it all works now. Of my overwiev aside:

    What exactly is recovery image?
+ Recovery image is an exact copy of a hard drive and contains the exact copy, byte by byte, a hard disk partition. The copy includes all the partition information, sectors priming, the table of allocation of files, installation of operating system and software application different. +
+ You are using installation Recovery CD/DVD/USB, you can restore your system after heavy data loss, caused by an accident of operating system, hardware failure or complete virus attack. +
+ Recovery image installation procedure allows the installation of system and easy to user. Unfortunately, it is not possible to restore only certain files from a disk image. +
+ Each recovery image is designed for a specific model laptop and it cannot be used for any other series of notebook. +

With other words, recovery image is a software package that contains Windows operating system, all the drivers needed for some portable model, Toshiba tools, utilities, and also some other software. A lot of people don't like these additional software, but no you don't have to use it. all things you don't like you can remove it from the system.

    Activation of recovery image:
When you buy the phone model you also purchase the license for the preinstalled OS version that you get with your machine. After start and contact to the internet OS will be checked and activation will be valid.

Please note: you can reinstall original image recovery 100 times if necessary. There is not a kind of limitation, and whenever it will be activated.

Take care of your recovery media (DVD/USB). Do not lose it.

Of course, it can happen that you do not find your recovery media. In this case you can order.

  • Cannot install recovery image on satellite Pro P300-1EX

    Hello.

I have never had many problems with a single laptop in my lifetime of work. I'm almost ready to throw this thing out the window. I have a satellite pro p300-1EX.

I wanted to do an install new os just to make things a bit faster for the customer, it was 8 hours ago.

First, I installed a Home Windows OEM pre 32B version. Then I saw that the CD would not work.

So, Okay - I'll bring back factory default:

    (1) there is no link repair starting and pressing F8
    (2) there is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
    (3) there is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
    (4) I try to download recovery disk creator bloody software and get this - it does not work. It creates a shortcut to a file that's not here yet. TRDCLcher.exe, can you, im speechless.

So now, I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me? I don't think so.

So, what can I please? It was a horrible experience. Nothing works. The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it. Instealing the OEM deleted all tools by default, but I can't NOT THE DOWNLOAD.

    Please, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe it sounds stupid now, but this is simply.

Here's my explanation of how it works:
Almost 4 or 5 years Toshiba offers laptops without recovery DVD but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. As much I know about former Satellite/Satellite Pro P300 recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder named HDDRecvery. This model laptop was shipped with Windows Vista.

As you know original recovery image can be installed n in two ways:
-You can use the recovery HARD drive installation method - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
-You can use the created recovery DVD disk

HARD drive recovery facility can be made if the laptop has only factory settings. In this case in advanced startup options (F8), you will have the option to fix my computer. If the notebk has been installed with the version of the OS or any other operating system of this option won't be available more. Because of this Toshiba has preinstalled reminder with the message for owners of laptops create recovery DVDs.

    Your questions:
    > There is no link repair starting and pressing F8
If this laptop doesn t have to factory settings it will not appear in the advanced startup options
    > There is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
If you have European book this model with zero will not work. It only works with the United States and Austraian mobile.
    > There is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
I put t understand it. What happens when you start with the OEM version?
    > I am trying to download bloody recovery disc creator software
If you have the European model of laptop, it can not be downloaded. This piece of software is included in the recovery image only.

    > So now I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me
I understand, but at least with the original recovery DVD you can install OS and all necessary things in an hour only.
    > The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it.
Yes. Without factory settings you will not have access to these data.

    Follow these steps:
-start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings
-set the BIOS to default settings and reboot the laptop
-When the laptop reboots press F12 to get into the boot meny
-When the boot menu appears on the screen put the original DVD of recovery in ODD
-Choose the CD/DVD drive on the list and press ENTER
This will force it's STRANGE to be the first boot device and you should see process on the loading screen. Click next or OK nothing change and wait for the recovery procedure starts.

Please try it and let me know exactly what is happening.

  • HP ENVY laptop: recovery Image (D)

I upgraded my laptop computer to the original Windows 8 Windows - 8.1Pro and then the windows - 10.1Pro.

Drive recovery Image (D) recognizes these updates? or is he still in charge of recovering the laptop for Windows-8?

In other words: if I had to use the recovery Image (D) at the moment it would Windows 8? or Windows - 10.1Pro?

Unfortunately for upgrades, the recovery Partition always contains the version of Windows that the PC had its release.  If Windows 8 was on the laptop when it was purchased and delivered then that is what Recovery Manager will reinstall if the user was to call the process.

Probably not what was intended but it would be to the advantage of the user to make an image of an independent system on an external IE: external hard drive. I prefer Acronis True Image, but many are available.  Even free with IE: Clonzilla

  • Qosmio X 70-A - need help with the recovery image installation

    OK, so I recently bought a new laptop (Qosmio X 70 - A) which came with pre-installed Windows 8.1.
First thing I did was to make a backup of the system, all good and beautiful image... installed a program for a better partition the HARD drive and the program dirty windows. It would not start (a blue screen appeared with the error 0 x 80070035).

Searched the web for solutions and managed to repair using a recovery media, but the laptop was moving to slow down, the best thing that I thought was a restore with the system that I've done before image.

I put the image on a blu - ray player and entered the recovery media, troubleshooting, advanced option, image system restore, choose the blu - ray and he went for one minute after this error appeared 0x8078002c and my HD is completely erased...

    Please help me
Laptop did not come with any dvd/cd etc.
I don't know the serial number of Windows (there is no sticker on the laptop with the sticker).

Generally the recovery image installation should not be problematic.
A few months ago I ve installed Win8 recovery image on friends laptop U940.
If I m remembering well, I just choose recovery image installation (out-of-box) and the recovery image has been successfully installed.

There was no some don't troubleshoot option.
Start your laptop and press F12 to get into the boot menu. Put recovery media in the optical disc drive, choose the CD/DVD/BD drive in the menu and press ENTER.

Just follow the on-screen menu and choose recovery image installation (State out-of-box).

I tried to treat it somehow and I tried many programs, but it is not a fully accomplished what I wanted, the laptop is still slow. So, my question is if there is a way to restore the system to the State where she was as I ran it the first time? When the recovery options, I chose the option to restore the system to the condition of the plant, there is information that you are missing some files, or you can run it from the installation media or recovery media system. When you buy a laptop that I have not, no plates, no drivers. I got a box in the laptop with all the drivers installed and windows 8-Professional thing in kartonnie after the laptop it's a book that addresses the different parts of the laptop, as the card video or a network card.

Does anyone have an idea where to find the media and if you can do so that I do not really cost? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best wishes.

    Hello

If you check on page 122 s manuals you will find all the info and detailed explanation of the image recovery and recovery image installation.

It is strongly recommended to create recovery media (recovery backup image) which can be used for the installation of the OS in the case that there is a problem with the installation of HARD drive recovery or HARD drive malfunction.

I presume you didn't create such a support, right? Can you please try to create with the help of preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool? The same error message appears again?

  • Recovery image NB 305 on SD card

I did a little experimentation and I would like to share the following:

I managed to create a usable recovery image by doing the following.

    1. buy a micro SD 8 GB card, place it in an SD adapter. (or buy a 8 GB SD card)
    2. Insert the SD card in the usual place.
    3. run the software Toshiba Recovery Media Creator.
    4. leave the default USB option selected under backup media.
    5. let the course ends.

    To check if you have:
Re-start your nb305 with the inserted SD card, press F12 to start screen and choose the obvious option to boot USB

You can safely abandon the re-store in the appropriate location until all the files are overwritten.

I tried this twice, once with a Kingston & once with a Sandisk card, both with 100% success.

    Hope this helps
