WLC DHCP Proxy - to do or not to do?

What is on the rise / decline of gyration of the DHCP Proxy of the WLC setting?  I know the option is there now, but it always by default the proxy mode, so what's the question?  I ask, because I could make an issue of a wlan comments becomes a dhcp server much easier, if requested by the customer. Then I can relay dhcp off a pix and my company dhcp/dns server. But I'm worried what effect it may have on my other local wireless networks.

Proxy DHCP is required if the WLC is the dhcp server, if you disable it don't forget to add the ip helper address to your L3 interfaces.

The part of the config is a relic of a time Airespace who helped the WLC learn the customers ip access. This problem has been fixed, updated in subsequent versions of the code. So the proxy or the proxy is really up to if the WLC is dhcp or not. Unless yopu run 6.0.196.0 or 7.0.980. Where you could hit CSCth68708

  • The proxy identification zone is not pop up

    I try to configure how firefox connects to the internet, using the details of the proxy of my University I used with several other devices (laptop with windows xp; Android smart-phone, etc.).
    But whenever I try to access a web page, an error message is displayed: "you can access XXXYYYZZZ until you yourself have authenticated.
    The problem is that I expected the authentication box is displayed when I try to connect, but it's not. In fact, I don't know how to authenticate.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

  • LAN Proxy Server settings are not retained

    I get an error of security proxy server credentials when connecting to Office365 from the local network connected PC Split HP runnng Windows 8.1.  We use a proxy server.

    When I check the control panel configuration, internet options, Connections tab, network, under the proxy server section settings button the box IS COCHEE to «use a proxy server for your LAN...» »

    I uncheck the box, click on OK and it backs up to the Connections tab.  In this tab, the box apply is grayed out (which may seem reasonable, given that the changes I made are on a screen of a level down on the LAN configuration screen.

    Anyway, after a while and always after the system has been locked on in «standby mode", settings return to check a box to «Use a proxy server for your LAN...» »

    The changes are simply not found.  My user account is administrator.

    Any solution to this setting removed by using a proxy server?

    I solved it without defining the system to its default settings.  Thinking that maybe it's a corruption of user admin role I added other roles to my user profile form which also have the ability / permission to make changes.  Fact:

    Control accounts of user/group/tab Manage User accounts / light tone my admin account / Advanced tab/advanced/users/select my account/member/added the roles of IIS_UISRS, network and Network Configuration operators.  (not easy thinking for an average of fall through user)

    all saved and accrued

    Once this is done, the Lan Proxy settings have been stable.

    However, a prior problem with the audio still exists.  The default value of the audio device continues to change speakers on the 2nd screen rather than the laptop speakers.  I can make changes and he returns back from a seemingly random way.  HP, a system Dingo!  Maybe a bios update will fix.

  • WLC Flex connect local authentication does not work

    Hi guys,.

    I'll give you a brief description of our current flexconnect configuration. We have APs configured mode flexconnect in the remote office and in local mode in the local office. Wireless LANs are the same in both locations and we have detected a problem in one specific SSID. It is a voice SSID and configured in 802.1 x mode that authenticates to a RADIUS server in the remote desktop.

    We detected only when the WAN line gets collapsed the IP phones unplugged wireless SSID and when the WAN line become free, reconnected.

    We have seen that we can configure Flexconnect local auth mode to avoid this problem, but it of esn can't work properly. We have set up APs in remote site with an IP address static and configured as NAS in the RADIUS server, but we did not see any which authenticayion in th RADIUS server package when change us the SSID to «FlexConnect auth» local

    Can you give me an idea to help solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Joel

    I suppose that clients connected by access points Flexconnect have problems where the WAN connection is down (?)

    It depends on your current configuration and security policy what are the feasible options in this scenario. If there is an available RADIUS server - who can still authenticate your users while the WAN line is down, you can configure your access points to access this server directly. You must use a FlexConnect for this group and configure the external server on the general tab, in the menu "AAA". You already made the point of access-static IP addresses and add them as clients on the RADIUS server, then it should work.

    Another option is that in the event of failure, access points to will authenticate the client based on a local data base and/or certificate. Also, this requires a FlexConnect group and the option 'Enable local authentication AP'. For example: If you are using PEAP and a specific user for VoWLAN account you can download the server and the certificates of CA to the WLC and add the credentials of this account to build the same configuration with the external server. Downside of this is the lack of central logging that may not match your security policy.

    Remember that the access point itself can't remember the relationship between the access point and FlexConnect group, in both scenarios, you need to configure all controllers manually with these MAC to the Group mappings. This behavior is different in comparison with the "groups of AP" what access point you remember during the passage of the controllers.

    The "FlexConnect local authentication" option on the SSID itself forces always use local authentication that has been configured on the FlexConnect group even if the connection with the WLC is available. I don't think that it is feasible to use it in your scenario.

  • Service of Proxy Service / business does not apply by default to items

    Hi all

    I have a situation on OSB, is the case here.

    I have a Service Business based on the WSDL, and this WSDL contains some items that have the default definition = '0' (only for request schema) in the schema section.

    When an execute the SoapUI .wsdl, always the fields are filled with the default value. Yet, on OSB when I call the console for the Service of Proxy/Business test

    and run them in the following cases, without tags/value, the default value is not met.

    There is some kind of restriction or limitation on OSB on applies the default value of the schema? Or it's like a work colleague, said: "what you doing is a transformation and OSB is not done automatically."

    Thanks in advance.

    By default doesn't mean that demand for the generators must provide this value. The value is for the analyzers. When a schema-aware parser detects an optional attribute with a default value is MISSING in the inbound document, the parser must register the default value in the model of analyzed data.

    When SoapUI generates the entries to the default settings, so it's good to do. But when the test console does not generate them, it is fair to do so too, because they are optional.

    XML Schema Part 0: second edition Primer

    > Default values for elements or attributes are declared using the attribute by default, even if this attribute has a slightly different consequence in each case.

    >

    > When an attribute is declared with a default value, the value of the attribute's value as the value of the attribute in an instance document;

    > if the attribute does not appear in the instance document, the schema processor provides the attribute with a value equal to that of the default attribute.

    > Note that the default values for attributes have meaning if the attributes themselves are optional, and so there is an error to specify both a default value and

    > anything other than a value of optional for use.

    >

    > The default schema of items processor treats a little differently. When an element is declared with a default value, the value of the element is all that

    > value appears as the content of the element in the document instance; If the element appears without any content, the schema processor provides the element

    > with a value equal to that of the default attribute. However, if the element does not appear in the instance document, the schema processor does not provide

    > the item at all. In summary, the differences between elements and attributes by default can be noted:

    >

    > Default attribute values apply when attributes are missing, and default element values apply when elements are empty.

    So the question is: when you run the query from a test console and do a transformation inside the proxy, not you or do you not see the default values on the output? If you do not, the OSB Analyzer is then, mmm, not meet the standards.

    JDeveloper gives you the opportunity to select the type of proxy you want to generate.
    You have found this exception because you try to use the heel on a proxy of JAX - WS.
    You must either use a JAX - RPC proxy, if you want to use the same code
    OR
    If you want to use JAX - WS proxy, you must change your code for:
    Import javax.xml.ws.BindingProvider;
    :

    Card rc = (port) .getRequestContext ((BindingProvider));
    RC.put (WSSecurityContext.CREDENTIAL_PROVIDER_LIST, credProviders);

    whenever you use something like:

    stub._setProperty (WSSecurityContext.CREDENTIAL_PROVIDER_LIST, credProviders);

    Because your service is JAX - WS, I suggest you create JAX - WS only proxy and change your code and try.
    In the case of JAX - WS, you don't need
    Heel heel = myPort._port (heel);

  • My firefox comes himself to update to the latest version and now all I get is "unable to connect" which is odd since IE and chrome can connect very well. Any ideas? I already checked the btw proxy settings and is not the issue

    What is happening on each test AES sit not just select those and they are fine as all workers is my connection in IE and chrome and it was very good 2 seconds before the update

    One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
