Wmp300n Vs WMP600N

Hello

I would like to know if anyone knows what are the main differences between these two wireless PCI network cards

Wmp300n and WMP600N

The first seems to have better coverage because of the external antenna, the second covers more wireless standards.

Which one is best.

This router is only the type of 2.4 GHz 802.11n wireless network.

However, both NAWL WUSB300N WUSB600N "not" works well with the Linksys drivers / software.  Neither cards have the internal chips "made" directly by Linksys.  These are 'allowed' to another company.  Wusb300n came from Marvel and the v1 WUSB600N from Ralink.

Use the WSUB600N v1 with drivers Ralink RT2870.  These Ralink drivers are more recent.

  • WMP600n wireless PCi adapter do not reconnect after sleep

I have a Linksys WMP600n PCi adapter installed in my desktop PC wireless and after recovering from the night before, he doesn't do not automatically reconnect.  I have you right click on the wireless icon in the system tray, then select "repair".  I would say this, it is 9 times out of 10 (1 times in 10 seems to me good luck and it restores the connection).

I have a motherboard Asus M4A88TD-M with 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and I'm under Windows XP Home Edition (SP3).  There is only one PCi slot on the motherboard.  In addition, I do not use the software provided with the product, but rather the native wireless networks wireless network software application supplied with Windows XP.  I had this problem with the original driver that comes with the product CD and the problem persists with the latest version of the driver.  I have no active set into hibernation and there is no power active modes of economy on the PC.

I have considered all options in the properties/Advanced tab Wireless 600n and the awake mode the continuously and disabled the power saving Mode, but the problem persists.

I have two other PCs with older PCi Linksys WMP300n cards and they don't exhibit this behavior after recovering from the previous day - they reconnect with reliability.

Anyone else have this problem with WMP600n PCi cards?  All solutions?

    Thanks in advance.

I found the problem.  There was a program called "Hot Spot Shield' on the PC that installed a virtual connection of the Miniport network ("Anchorfree HSS adapter") along the side of the hardware (PCI) wireless network connection.  The operating system seemed unable to load any network connection during the restoration of the day before due to the presence of these two active connections.  The solution was simply uninstall and remove the Hot Spot Shield software.

  • WMP600N Chipset?

I have the WMP300N and it works great... Apart from the fact that I just moved into an apartment with an extreme saturation of 2.4 GHz.  I have the WRT610N and the 5 GHz band works wonderfully on the floor on a MacBook.

I pick up the WMP600N if I could find the chipset it uses.  I'm running a box similar to Unix and the chipset reflects compatibility in my system.

Someone has an idea of what is the chipset?

    Thanks in advance.

I did some digging in the Linksys drivers (don't know why I don't think this earlier) and we found the device ID to be:

    PCI\VEN_1814 & DEV_0601 & SUBSYS_00671737

Who is Realtek.  Perhaps RT2800 family.  This can work.

  • WMP600N wireless signals new facility

Recently installed a WMP600N in a new machine of windows 7 using the latest drivers from this Web site. However, he fails to find wireless connections at all even though I know that it a good bit around me who should easily be in the range. Also find out the card works correctly, as I took it on an old machine that was it was working fine. Anyone got any ideas about to find any networks?

OK update: as a temporary measure used a USB wireless adapter and everything worked fine card side, so obviously something suspicious. Card is plugged in correctly and works in a different machine, so could not be doubtful drivers. Unplugged the a port PCI card and put in another, then it works... You forgot to install the drivers pre mounting of the card the free Bravo Chadster machine for the helpful answer even if I ignored him XD [don't forget to uninstall the Linksys software its bloatware, you only need drivers.]

  • Linksys WMP600N PROBLEMS

I have a card PCI WMP600N I was able to connect to my Belkin router which I use as the router instead of my Virginmedia Superhub, which was ran in Modem mode.

When I went to the computer this morning I couldn't connect to the internet even if the network connection said excellent and I had a 248 Mbps link. I had to take the Virginmedia Superhub out of modem mode and connect the computer to the network. The signal is rubbish and is also on a different subnet to the belkin router, so I can't speak on another computer or on the network wireless printer. Belkin network is 192.168.2.1 and the Superhub is 192.168.0.1

The only difference in the router settings is that the belkin is set to WPA/WPA2. PSK and the superhub is set to auto to WPA which does not have the belkin.

What I don't understand is the card NETWORK talked the belkin ok for 4 days, but now won't.

    Someone at - it ideas.

    Thank you

    Dave

I had to uninstall and reinstall several times but that it connects to the internet and eventually got the Belkin router.

Thanks for the help. One of thoughs with computers things I guess.

  • WMP600n lag spikes and slow internet

    Hello

I have problems with WMP600n wireless adapter. I am a pc player, and that I play I get lag spikes with a ping up to 1000 +! Also when I browse the internet, its incredibly slow, or sometimes does not at all. I searched for updates and manually installed them but no luck. I'm kind of crazy because I spent $80 at staples for her. I use it with a router wireless g, but I did research before I bought it and he said it would work with wireless g, and I thought that if we always end up getting a wireless n router, I'll be ready. in any case, I want to enjoy my new computer, but it gets me pissed.

    Thank you

    Tim

  • Broadband double (802.11n, WMP600N)

    Hello!

How can I be sure that the adapter (Linksys WMP600N) using dual-bandiwidth(both ~2.4ghz and 5ghz) connection? I have router (asus RT-N56U) witch is supported by the two frequenzes (and have) and I checked in the config-tool(traffic monitor) that there are only 2.4 ghz traffic. I tried to transfer files from my desktop PC to my laptop via a router and at the same time surf the Internet very strongly, but there is still no traffic 5 GHz at all. Any ideas? =)

    -Sebastian-

WMP600N is a dual band wireless adapter. It will connect to the two bands at the same time. It will connect broadband wireless for 2.4 GHZ or 5 GHz at the same time. If you are connected to wireless 2.4 Ghz band you will get traffic only 2.4 GHz.

  • WMP600N and windows 7

    1. Need driver windows 7 for wmp600n wireless adapter.  Currently, the adapter is functional, but only in the wireless g = 54 m/bits/s.  I bought this adapter to take advantage of the project that accelerates Windows xp = 270 m/bits/s.  If I wanted to 54 m/bits/s I would have saved myself the $80.00 and used one of my old wireless g network cards.  Y at - it no hope to get windows 7 drivers for my card wmp600n anytime soon?  IMO, they should have been made available since win 7 is in the works now for more than a year with RC available for months!  Please, catch up with the times and provide a driver that allows to exploit its potential to the adapter.

    Hi mnswhit,

Glad to hear that someone gets their total value of 270 Mbps! Laughing out loud!

Okay, after I read your post and now fully entitled to believe that there must be a way... I went to Device Manager, right click the network adapter and you click on uninstall.  This window also gives you the option to remove the driver for the device at the same time, so I checked this box too and then turns off my computer.

Went to another computer on my network and configure the router to broadcast wireless network on N only.

I went back to my computer and turned on... started upward... and the machine has found the linksys wmp600n adapter.

Then the computer found only N network and joined with success!  Yes! 270 Mbps!

Reset the router for 'mixed' to include the N Protocol and network is stable and functional.  Wireless computer is at 270 Mbps.

My apologies to anyone take offense to my comments about the drivers for this device and get with the times.  However, I think that even a note explaining "how" on the driver page might help some people... If they don't come here first!

Thanks to all those who helped and sent suggestions!  I appreciate that very much.  Pehaps I can return the favor in the future!  See you soon!

  • problems of home network with WMP300N

When connecting to my home network to an HP Pavilion a250n under XP pro using the WMP300N, I can see and access the other computers on my home network (including another wireless computer running vista), but none of them can access this computer. When I wired this computer through the internal LAN port command, the other networded, computers can access the sharing of files very well. The network router is a WRT300N. Is the problem with WMP300N or the router, and you have any suggestions on how to fix it?

When you connect the computer to the network using the WMP300N, check if the other computers can ping this computer. Maybe the firewall (Windows Firewall, antivirus, etc.) has been activated on the map only wireless network, just do a detailed audit and find out if it is the culprit.

  • Growing range of WMP600N

    Hello

I already have a WMP600N installed on my PC, an iPad and a laptop. I do not have any router or AP. The range of WiFi between my PC and the iPad is not good when the remote gets more than 20 meters, or I change the soil. I want to increase the scope and I would like to share my internet via my PC, so I use a router or an AP? Is any other devices that increase my range of WLan?

If I use a router or an AP, can I share my internet through my PC? Which router or AP do you recommend?

I want my WLan is accessible to all 6 floors of my apartment. my PC is in the second floor.

    Thank you

You can share internet through the router. If you go then to router series G as WRT54G2, you will get up to 100-110 feet. If you use the N Series as WRT160N router then, you will get about 140 to 150 feet of beach.

  • compatibility issues with WRT610N and WMP300N security mode

Greetings from the experts out there. I have adsl AM300 + WRT610N pulled upward at home my receiving office on WMP300N wireless broadcasting (only 2.4 GHz wireless signal that I have disabled 5.0 GHz for troubleshooting). Get the best connection with the configuration below (WEP without authentication). I tested with WPA, WPA2, WEP with shared authentication. All these 3 combinations security mode does not allow my office to connect to my WRT610N router, which leads me to assume that there might be a problem with a pilot of the aircraft. The only link that almost succeeded was with WPA2 because I managed to get the LAN connected but not being is not able to connect to internet via AM300 so I have concluded that it is another problem too.

    (1) are you able to get a good market condition the Internet connection, using a computer that is connected to the WRT610N?

    (2) are you able to get a good market condition the Internet connection, using a computer which is connected wireless to the WRT610N, when no encryption is used?

If the answer 1 and 2 is Yes, then:

First of all, give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you use "linksys", you can try to connect the router to your neighbor. Also set 'SSID Broadcast' to 'active '. This will help your computer to find and lock on the signal from your router.

In addition, in the computer, go to your wireless software and go to 'Favorite networks' (sometimes called 'Profiles'). There are probably a few listed networks. Remove any network called "linksys". Also remove any network that you don't recognize or that you no longer use.  Delete your current network (this will remove all old settings.)  Restart the computer.  Return to "Preferred networks" and re-enter your current info from the network (SSID, encryption (if any) and key (if any)). Select your current network and make your network by default, then set it to auto login. You may need to go to 'settings' to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select 'Properties' or 'settings '.  Restart the computer.  The computer should automatically connect to your router (this may take up to 2 minutes).  If you're still having problems, temporarily disable your software firewall computer, then try again.

Note: For WEP, enter 'key WEP 1' (found in the router) in your computer, not the WEP password or passphrase.

If the above does not solve your problem, download and install the latest driver for your computer's wireless network adapter.

  • WMP600N in Win 7, please help

    Hello.

I got the WRT54G for a while using windows vista and everything was fine. A few days ago started Windows Vista send me in trouble and I decided that formatting the computer was the only way to get rid of the problem and decided on the upgrade to windows 7. for the moment, I was able to acquire the 7000 build version, beta version, but noticed that there are no drivers for WMP54G. Then, I went out and bought the WMP600N and it wokred fine. Then I got an update from microsoft who fixed a lot of things and drivers who did not work, but it has ceased the operation of the WMP600N. I called linksys support and after one phone call lasts 48 minutes in which I learned to hold and has been suspended under I called again and they suggested that I try to reconnect the adapter on another opening. I did it and it worked perfectly. After restarting the computer, I found that he either does not once more.

Do you think if upgrading from build 7600 the problem I'd go further than I think the CD soon? because I heard that 7600 has drivers for it.

P.S the error I get when the adapter does not work is code 10, it cannot connect to it.

Thanks for your time, I appericiate it

  • Wmp300n v2 and vista 32: can't get Wireless-N!

I read all the articles about the same problem with Vista 32 bit and WMP300N but I cannot access my Wireless N network.

    The router is Linksys WRT610N.

I tried without encryption, with Wireless-N, trying combinations of 20 or 40 MHz, Channel 9 or 11, well, I can't get this to work

Don't ask me if I have the latest drivers (1.1.00.018) of WMP300N! Yes, install, uninstall, reinstall, followed procedures, but nothing.

Vista, I see that a wireless network, not one to 5 GHz.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Well the adapter WMP300N is not a Dual-Band adapter, so it will not work with 5 GHz network. To make your computer to recognize your 5 Ghz network you must buy a Dual-Band adapter.

Although WMP600N is Compitable with Windows 7. I think you just need to set some parameters of your wireless router and that might solve the problem.

Open an Internet Explorer browser on your computer (desktop) wired page. In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press ENTER... The user name password use admin lowercase &...

For wireless settings, follow these steps: -.
    Click on the Wireless tab
-Here, select manual configuration... Wireless network mode must be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the name box of the wireless network (SSID) in order to differentiate your network from your network of neighbors...

-Fix the Radio band to wide - 40 MHz and change the broad Channel 9 and channel Standard 11 - 2, 462 GHz... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled, and then click on save settings...
Please take note of the name of the wireless network (SSID) because it's the network identifier...
    For wireless security: -.
Click the sub-tab under wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the mode of WPA wireless security, encryption, select AES... Password input your desired WPA key. For example, MySecretKey, this will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone.

NOTE: The password must be more than 8 characters...
