Word created PDF files with unwanted fonts included.

When I create PDFs from Word, both policies appear to be included as being used, Times New Roman and Times New Roman Bold.  They are not marked as being included, is just used.  This causes programs to reject PDFs as not being is not complete.  I installed Word to include (embed) all fonts which makes very large files, but noticed both still are not getting 'integrated '.  How can I fix it?  I am trying to export pdf files, but they will not allow the receiving system.

I came across the problem to run Word 2007 on Windows Vista.  I also found the same problem on Word 2013 under Windows 7.

I solved the problem by installing a printer (www.cutepdf.com) .pdf.

Thanks for the comments.

  • If an illustrator file has links with spot colors, how can I create PDF files with process colors?

My file has shades of tones that came with the linked logo, I could not find a way to convert those shades of colors quadri.

I need to send PDF on a printer with only process colors, I know that the printer can choose to convert spot colors to process when printing with printer within Acrobat Panel, but since we do not print, we need to send files to print ready with process colors only.

Is there a way or a script to make PDF file generated from Illustrator with process colors only?

You could try object > flatten transparency and clear colors to preserve overprints and Spot.

I set the preset high resolution and turn on the preview to see if something dramatic is going to happen.

After that, you can check the file of color dot in the separations Preview Panel.

  • I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the doc

I'm trying to create a PDF file with several signature lines in that anyone can "Sign" by using their digital signature CAC (Common Access Card) active. The goal is to have a single document that people can open, sign on a designated line and save the document (replacing the existing document) and close. Then another person can open the same document digitally sign another area of the form, save it, and close it. So on, and so on. Is there a way to do this? At the end of the day, I would end up with a PDF file with literally hundreds of signatures to enable different ACC everywhere...

I don't understand what the problem is. In the post of the davidr96549424 on May 8, 2015 07:58 you presented a structure of a correct document. Is the issue of the creation of this structure in a PDF file? For this, you will need an Acrobat, not reader.

XI in Acrobat, select Tools-> forms-Edit. Click 'No' on the form fields 'detect '. In the tasks Panel that opens, click on "add new field". Select "Digital Signature" and move it to the location in the document where you want to than the appearance of the signature to be. Repeat that for signature fields as you want. Users will sign by clicking on the prepared unsigned signature field which shows the dialog box "sign. Do not forget that as TSN has noted that a digital signature applies to the entire document. The entry in the document where it is is irrelevant. Each next signature covers all previous signatures.

Your users can also sign a document from anywhere that they want without signature fields already prepared. For this select fill & sign-> work with certificates and the type of signing you want to sign up with. A dialog box that will tell you a rectangle for the appearance of signature rises and after you draw the rectangle of the dialog 'Sign' rises.

PDF/Acrobat doesn't have a limit on a number of signatures in a PDF document. But! Don't forget that when you open a PDF file with Acrobat/Reader signatures valid all of them and takes time (several seconds - until 10 - for every signature), so if you have several signatures of dozens of their validation open can take a long time.

I don't know how build you your workflow so that each person signs the same PDF and saves it. Economy runs on the same computer where the PDF is stored. You'll have to decide how to allow different people to have access to the same PDF. They, of course, you may sign this only one-at-a-time PDF.

  • Captivate 8: PDF export created a file with the extension PDF... but it's actually a video. Shouldn't it exported slides as appropriate PDF document?

In Adobe Captivate, there is a 'PDF export' checkbox when you publish your project.

He checked the box, and the publication of project created a file with the extension PDF... but it's actually a video. Shouldn't it exported slides as appropriate PDF document?

No, it was published in an interactive PDF, has always been the case. It's another way to publish the video, that does not need to deploy it to an LMS or a Web server, you can send the PDF file. However, since Flash player is is more integrated in later versions of the Adobe Reader software, the user is to install it.

  • How to create small PDF files with images of reasonable quality?

    Help me Obiwan Adobe!

There seems to be several utilities on the web that claim to do this, but I thought I ask first of all experts. There must be some sort of step by step technical describes a place that allows you to create PDF files that have reasonable quality but which do not come with such extreme weight they can not be sent by e-mail.

I saw suggestions ranging from using the footprint of the PDF in InDesign feature (sometimes it works, sometimes not), export from InDesign with the preset PDF/X1a (used to work ok, but now seems not chewable files down, as they used to) to adjust preferences for a lower screen resolution - not in export or save as dialog box - then saving it under a reduced size. I tried almost all the techniques I've seen but in vain.

So I guess there is something that I am missing. Building a file InDesign you want to compress severely, is best to use JPEG files or other PDF files or something else for placed images?

I know it's asking a lot and clearly native features of Acrobat are not much help, but I have several uses for this. I do a lot of book design and prefer to send drafts for customers who are at least pretty good for them to watch without blurry images. I would also like to set up a portfolio PDF that does not require the sending by FTP. In fact most of the places that ask for my PDF portfolio want less than 1.5 MB. It seems impossible.

So there you go. Somebody needs to write a book. In fact, if I get a good orientation, maybe I'll do it.

    Thank you

. Jpg can be a possible reason for blurred images. JPEG files are not generally recommended for use with PDF files, although many people use. Usually, TIF or PNG are recommended for bitmaps with PDF files.

  • Distillation/Printing Postscript files with TrueType fonts

We have the possibility to include marketing inserts full pages (PDF format) in our documents/letters. These inserts put in the full postscript file that we send to a printing facility to print and send.

Whenever a new insert marketing is created, I run an audit before the flight custom to ensure that fonts are included and transparent do not exist.

The thing is, we use a few printing facilities, they have printing problems of resources/PDF files into postscript that have TrueType fonts. I also see some errors when I try to distill files with TrueType fonts: "Impossible to extract the embedded police 'JOLMKC + Times-Roman'."  Sometimes, I can edit the PDF to convert Type 1 fonts, but not always. Is it possible to convert TrueType to Type 1? Why TrueType fonts do not work? I did some research, and everything I've read says that TrueType fonts should work in postscript.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    What I use:

    Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

    Windows 8.1

Police of example I used with the error:

    Times-Roman (embedded subset)

    Type: TrueType

    Encoding: Ansi

    It also came with Arial:

    ArialMT (embedded subset)

    Type: TrueType

    Ansi encoding

Fix. In my view, that the file PDF is turned via Ghostscript.

I did eventually find out using Adobe Acrobat 9 (only tried the reader, not Pro), I got all the fonts to Type 1 fonts. I followed the exact same steps as I did in the 11. I don't know if they both incorporate different ways, but each time I have incorporate into 9, it incorporate all Type 1 fonts, not just some of them such as 11.

I get more concrete information on the technical process, but at this point, I have solved my problem. Thanks for the offer of help!

Unfortunately, no. ExportPDF is just to create Word (or Excel) documents of existing PDF files. To combine several PDF files into one, you must either Pack PDF or Acrobat DC.

  • How to convert a word in PDF file?

How to convert a word document into a .pdf file?

    Hi wertheca,

If you have Acrobat (full version), you can convert a file to PDF by choosing File > create > PDF of the file. You choose your Word document, and then click open to convert the file to PDF format.

If you do not have Acrobat, you can use a subscription of services online in Acrobat to convert almost any file format into a PDF file with a simple click or two. For more information, see more Acrobat, PDF package, PDF Export & more | Documents Acrobat solutions

    I hope this helps.

Hey Paul, welcome to the forums of Palm.

Your Verizon Pre Plus runs a mobile operating system called webOS HP/Palm.  The current version is the 1.4.5.  The phone can connect to a Microsoft Exchange Enterprise Server.  When this happens, it uses a timing called "Exchange Active Sync" technology, but your phone does not have the operating system Windows Mobile or Windows Phone.

Synchronization of Microsoft Office and PDF documents from sort of an adventure the Pre debuted more than 18 months ago.

DataViz, the application of the notice of Doc officials, was partially acquired by RIM, the fact of BlackBerry and decided to not release a full version of Documents To Go for webOS devices.  Palm in collaboration with manufacturers of QuickOffice to provide the full support of the office for webOS documents in the future.

For now, if you put Office and PDF documents in the area of storage USB of your pre, see Doc or PDF is to find them and allow you to view them on your Pre.  I put all my documents in a folder simply called 'Documents '.

If you connect the charging/sync cable for your pre and then attach to your Mac or Windows PC, you will have a choice to activate the USB Drive mode.  When you do, you will be able to work with your pre as you would with a standard USB.  Eject the meadow of your desktop PC when you have finished and you should be ready.

    Hope that helps.

  • How to save a PDF file with presets

How can I save/export format PDF of Adobe Acrobat Pro with a preset (the same presets as in InDesign, for example)?

    Thank you

These presets are used to create PDF files. Once you have it, the presets do not apply. However if you want to reduce the size of file and quality, you can try save under... Optimized PDF (assuming that you have Acrobat X or later).

  • How can I determine if a created PDF file has been encrypted in a unix or linux box

I'm not sure if execution of the command file on my box will tell me if a given created PDF file is encrypted and with what level of encryption.  Is there a way to determine if the file is encrypted by using the Unix/Linux tools after the fact?

    Thank you

    Sam

It is assumed that you want to do this in UNIX command line / Shell / Terminal.  There is a way that you could do that and that is to 'rolling' and build the tool with the Adobe PDF Library SDK.  Datalogics, which is an Adobe partner has a port of UNIX for the Adobe PDF Library SDK which could be used to create a tool that does this for you, but there is a very big opposition involved in the price structure for the Adobe's PDF library.

  • I've already paid for the subscription, but now want to create pdf files

I paid for one month subscription Adobe to create pdf files.

But every time I have to try and create a pdf file, the screen will return to the payment page.

My subscription has been recognized? How should I proceed?

    Hi hamishwm,

Have you received your verification email and click the link in that email to verify your account? If you have not received this e-mail in your main Inbox, check your Junk folder please.

If you have checked and still get the Subscribe page, it is likely that you just didn't connect to the service again. Go to http://cloud.acrobat.com and sign in with your Adobe ID and password. Once you have logged in, you should be able to convert files!

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,
