  To get Microsoft Word, the least expensive is to buy Microsoft Office home and Student 2007 .  A free word processing program is available in the suite OpenOffice .

  If you have a Windows RT system - you Microsoft Office 2013 RT - including Microsoft Word.  Use it for your resume.

  If you have a Windows 8/8.1 (standard or professional) system - then you could use "Wordpad" type something (with fonts and formatting) but it is not a very robust processing.  Something like Microsoft Office and LibreOffice would suite better (the latter is free.)

• Word programs are all infected with unwanted symbols

  It happened this morning while I was working on my sermon.  All of a sudden all pages have been invaded by paragraph symbols and points between each word.
  He went in all of my programs to Word!
  Help!
  I tried to copy and paste on new documents, but each new document began with the paragraph symbol.

  Here's the real answer.

  1. Right click on the speaker icon in the address bar. It is to the left of the where it says listening or sleeping.
  2. Click to open the speech dictionary.
  3. Click change existing words
  4. Change a Word.
  5. Highlight bend and then click Next
  6. Insert the spelling that you want to appear when you dictate the word

  Notice, otherwise you can say, ' Dictionary voice the Open, "instead of the"speaker"right click icon.

• clicked and put Word program icon Microsoft Office to the desktop icon is lnk not Word icon

  Just got a new Toshiba laptop yesterday.  I installed Microsoft Office.  Because I tried a shortcut on the desktop for Word, I clicked and dragged it comes from the progrram file.  Now, we won't have the icon.  Instead of the traditional Microsoft Office 2010 'W', this is the icon of lnk.  Can someone suggest a solution to return to the image of the appropriate icon.  Note, the works of the icon.  It opens the program without problem

• 'Send e-mail' WORDPAD or any other Windows word program

At the same time, I have clk that would appear to the 'Send e-mail' tab and my MSN mail login and my mail client would be automatic with the format of the e-mail message.   Regarding the USB flash drive, put it in one of the USB ports on your computer. Wait for Windows recognizes the drive. XP can open a dialog box asking you what you want to do. Choose "Open...". Now, go to My Documents and double-click it in order to have this window open, too. Select the files, right click/drag/copy (does not move! ) in the flash player window. Rinse and repeat. ;-)

  I'm not sure that there is a way that the computer will be able to get that back, but depending on how you obtained the program first place, you should be able to provide the key or download again directly from Microsoft.

  Short term solution: here is a link to Microsoft Word Viewer, you cannot change, but at least you can access your files with this program: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4

  So basically, there are two types of installations of office there. The old style is that you have a key somewhere, it can be on a certificate, or something like that. It should also provide instructions on how to reinstall Office. The newest style, the one that ships on our products for the last year or more is Office 365, which is a service monthly subscription or the year and if you have the time you left can you connect to your Microsoft account and install Office again directly from Microsoft.
