Word to the thickness of the underline PDF
Hi all
I saw a number of previous discussions on this topic, and most of them still pending.
When converting a Word 2010 to PDF document by printing to PDF Maker or by using the option "Convert to PDF" integrated, my highlights appear different thicknesses when I made them in word.
-J' checked and all the features of underscore are set to the same size in Word 2010.
-When in Adobe Reader, zoom in and out to change the relative size of the fact out in comparison with the text.
-When you view PDF files in Foxit Reader (a PDF reader part 3) there is no problem and says all is correct, regardless of zoom.
-As suggested by https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1053837 and https://forums.adobe.com/thread/305508 , I tried to change the dpi of my PDF Maker "printer" at 300 dpi, and then re-conversion, without success.
Foxit shows properly, so I'm led to assume the work of conversion is correctly, but when seen in Adobe Reader is showing wrong. However, I want the PDF to be seen by many people, which most should not be used Foxit reader or any other PDF Reader, as well as my problem Viewer rises.
Help!
Hey everyone, I think that I thought about it. I have read this thread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/620345?sr=inbox where Peter suggested to turn off "Enhance fine lines ' in the display options Page, which seems to have solved the problem. As I said, the conversion seems to have worked, but Adobe had it wrong, no doubt trying to increase the thickness of the thin lines for some reason any.
Thank you!

How to activate the search function. I get no match found when I search for words on the scanned PDF document
A scanned document is just an image; even if it contains text, it is not searchable.
Put text in a scanned image available, you will need to perform the recognition of text (OCR), which can be made with Acrobat, but not the free player.

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extender. When I try to convert a Word file to PDF that says that it cannot find the drivers from the Adobe PDF printer and reinstall Adobe Acrobat 9.0. In addition, when I open just the program Acrobat 9 Pro Extender an error message comes up saying that a part of the Capture 3D plugin has been damaged. I went to customer service and they sent me here. Please tell me that this is not another race. I'm running out of patience! I have 10 window.
Acrobat 9 is quite old and not longer supported. The last Windows OS that could use Acrobat 9 has Windows 7 and Acrobat had to have all updates applied.
You need to upgrade to Acrobat DC.

I bought a DC Acrobat pro, because I need to change the format of PDF to WORD. So I bought and select: PDF export and turns me to settle on which is written: "buy acrobat pro DC" but I already bought!
It is not enough to just buy it. You will need to also download, install and then use it. If buy you it, but continue to use the free player, he won't have to work.

Doc unreadable Word after the conversion of PDF to .docx.
I open a PDF file and select the Convert button to convert the PDF to Microsoft Word. The pictures are converted and certain positions but the items in the document are not readable. It's just a bunch of rectangles as if it is converted into another language rather U.S. English.
Adobe support has been able to help me. The PDF file I tried to convert was created using QuarkXPress and was malformed. I did not create it. It was a newsletter and I could convert the October and December issues, but just not the November issue.

I can convert pdf to word format adobe acrobat, DC, but my version of word may not be correct because after conversion, fonts and lines are not correct in the original pdf document. I'm currently using version 6.1 of windows 7 service pack 1 build 7601 Home Premium. Is it possible that I might have to upgrade my windows 7 in order to get good conversions of PDF files in word files?
No, it won't be linked to your version of Windows. Probably, you wait too long. Conversion cannot be perfect except for the files very easy.

I have a protected PDF file. I have the password. How to convert to Word? The export tool will fail because it has a password (even if the doc is open)
Hi stupiddonkey,
You will need to remove the password from the file (using Acrobat, not reader) before you can convert it to Word. To do this, choose file > properties, and then click the Security tab choose no security in the context menu of the security method and enter the password when you are prompted.
Best,
Sara

After I exported a PDF (written in Hebrew) in a Word document, the Word document is written in mirror writing, how can I solve this problem?
This is a known bug in Acrobat. The conversion of PDF to Office documents was never designed to deal properly with the languages from right to left like Hebrew, Arabic and Farsi. There is no work around at this point.

I have a new computer with Windows 7 Professional, Office 2007, Adobe XI. I just created a word document and tried save it in PDF format, but the PDF option does not appear in the menu dropdown. Any ideas please? Thank you.
What is "Adobe XI" - Reader or Acrobat?
But, "Save as Adobe PDF" is a function of Word, independent of this Adobe software, you have installed.

Reader Adobe XI updates last week. Reinstalled this morning. All previous saved pdf files are now forms of words asking the conversion? Creates problems for my business. Help, please?

I have a user using Acrobat 10. It has been installed two weeks ago and had no problems at the start. Today, she said that when she tried to convert several word and excel docs by selecting and right-click on it to select convert/combine PDF format, pages randomly in the finished PDF file have a blue background. I did some research online and you can't find any information on this problem. Can anyone here shed some light on this subject and maybe point me in the direction of a solution? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
Hi Gilad,
So something I didn't consider was that it could be a setting in office documents. The reason why I do not consider this was cause we tested several docs and had similar results each time. I returned and examined this possibility and found a setting in word that was causing this problem. Although the word doc showed no color page when opened in word, if I went to the "Page Layout"-> 'Color of Page', a shade of blue was chosen. By selecting "no color", then convert / combining documentation in PDF format, we have achieved the desired result. Thanks again for your response!

Word of the file size: .docx converted in PDF format
Hello
I use Adobe acrobat X pro and I need to convert a Word to PDF file to join with all do us commercial offers. The file size is important in order to limit the size of the mailbox content. At the moment my Word file is 25 and it's ok, but when I convert it the result is a 120 KB PDF... I did some research in the Acrobat community and they often explain to use "Save as other", but I do not have these (maybe it came with version XI).
I would like to know if anyone has an idea of what I can do with my version of acrobat to reduce the size of the file.
Thank you
Ben
PDF Optimization is not available in Std AFAIK. However, you asked on the conversion of a WORD file. The best way to keep the size down is to NOT use save them in Adobe PDF format. Who's using PDF Maker (the Acrobat in WORD menu) which adds tags and many other things that inflate a default PDF. If you do not use this option, then use preferences to disable the tags and other elements in the file (like all bookmarks and all the rest). The easiest way is to print to the Adobe PDF printer. Don't forget to keep your simple fonts. It is better to embed fonts when you send a PDF file to others (especially from PC to MAC Linux as the fonts on the system may be different). Don't use only not the smaller file size settings. Use Std as a minimum or press options or Print embed all the fonts as subsets. The MST is fine as long as people use Acrobat or Reader for viewing, but other viewers may not recognize the basic fonts Adobe.
