Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance

I'm having a lot of problems with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It all started when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of advertising popups, I can't play a game on FaceBook called Farm Town at all, and I get a popup of AVG on the cookies that I can't get rid of. These issues are causing me to use Chrome quite often, although I like Fox better. I've searched and searched how to get help and find nothing. How can I get personalized technical help? These problems will not occur in Chrome at all. Thank you.
Do a check with some malware malware, analysis of programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

Why are some emails not to load with Firefox, but do it with Patrick and IE?
I have an email account with Yahoo.com and I get my mail on a desktop W8.1 PC and an iPad. The Bureau uses Firefox as the browser 41.0.2; the iPad uses Safari.
Use the office, I find that many (but not all) of the messages that I see in the list of incoming messages fail to display, i.e. they fail to complete the download after I click on them. If I click on any of these stray messages on the iPad, however, it loads immediately.
If I close Firefox on the desktop and go to IE and then access the e-mail account Yahoo, the stray message < > is displayed.
I conclude that the problem was with Firefox, right? Is someone can you please tell me how I can fix this bug so that I can download all my incoming messages on the desktop?
I want to delete, and then reload Firefox to see if that fixes the problem. Can someone please tell me how to save and restore all my favorites in the process?
Thank you.
Comments: I cleaned my cache and temporary files using Old Timer TFC and that seemed to cure the problem. Thanks for your help. .. .wdc202

How can I get Firefox to display the Facebook comments to my blog the Huffington Post?
I am a blogger for the Huffington Post. They recently moved all comment to Facebook activity, and I see comments from readers via Internet Explorer, but not with Firefox. I would like to know what to do about it? I see a small link that takes me to a page of information "Facebook Social Addin", on Internet Explorer. Missing Firefox? Or is there another solution?
Your "Disconnect" extension aims to reduce multisite followed by Facebook? It is possible that is a factor because I think that the code that retrieves the observations (hosted on connect.facebook.net) can be on the same server as the code that generates the button I like.

While I was with Firefox, Google stole my blog! I used like Firefox
It is about 2 months since Google has stolen my blogs (copywrited). I had decided to close a small gmail account that I had problems with it and among them Google hacked into and changed the user name and password. Needless to say, I was devastated - 10 years ' worth of intellectual property inaccessible! The funny part is that people comment on my blog and Blogger them sending me to the moderation and I can't moderate. They won't let me even to visit the blogs of my Blogger friends.
Hi Kay, you've posted on the support forum of Blogger on how to regain control of your blog?
https://productforums.Google.com/Forum/#! Forum/blogger
I don't think that there is much we can do here to help with that.
If you are unsure about the safety of your browser, consider if you have suspicious modules or malware on your computer. We address these issues more in detail if you wish.

I can't access some websites using Firefox. Pages say "File not found" or in the case of Yahoo and Facebook, they resemble the on-screen text files. No problems with my computer and it is not the case with my browsers IE and Chrome. Already deleted and reinstalled Firefox and it has not solved the problem
You can also do a check of malware with some digitization programs of malicious software on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.
All of these programs have free versions.Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before scanning.

Hello
I cannot install extensions, they appear with "will be installed after you restart Firefox" even after that I restarted.
The 'Intermediary' folder is present and rest after a restart, but the extensions do not get installed. They show in the extensions page with the message "will be installed after you restart Firefox" and remain like that, no matter how many times I restart.
Any idea?
Under Firefox 24.0 Windows 8.1
Thank you very much
BDP.S. Just tried to install the add-on "convenience store" before asking the question and I got an error saying that it cannot install because it cannot change the necessary file. (I did manually instead)
I tried to delete the files extensions.* nothing works. However, I deleted the addons.sqlite file and restarted my computer (computer not only Firefox) and that seemed to do the trick. Problem solved.
Thank you for your help, it is appreciated.

When I go on youTube and click on a video, I get a black screen with controls and an arrow of beginning in the middle. When I click on the arrow to start, no video only comes up... just the statement: "year error occurred." Please try again later. "Same thing on other sites with videos. They will not play. Another site with videos, he says that the player will not load.
I cleared the cache, cookies, downloaded the new 14 beta version of firefox, tried to download an old version of Adobe Flash Player (11). I had Firefox v13.
Nothing has changed so far. I hope someone can help with this. All these sites and videos work fine when I use Internet Explorer. There are a few compatibility problems between the latest Flash Player (11.3) and some settings or Firefox Add-ons. Could see you if anything in this article helps you: 11.3 Flash does not load video in Firefox.

Cannot open the PDF with Firefox 11.0
Firefox automatically upgrades the version I use. Since he has recently been updated I can't open pdf files. Am facing a blank page. I went through some of the suggestions on these pages, and when I opened the tool window, there is a caveat:
Firefox PDF Plugin for Mac OS X is not compatible with Firefox 11!
Is there a way around it? Or it's time to say goodbye to Firefox and go on Safari?
I had the same problem. Go in Tools > Modules > Plug-Insand disable the plugin Adobe Acrobat. Once I did, my PDFs opened in preview.

Cannot download files via yousend it with firefox but with safari - why? (mac)
I use yousendit to send files regularly and successfully for the past 2 years, always with Firefox. Suddenly, after you attach a file, the screen always says "connecting", but I have never so much as to see a time bar download. YouSendIt support suggested trying the site with safari and it worked - have I clicked on something stupid in firefox without realizing? YouSendIt support had no idea why this would be a problem... I prefer firefox and use it to every other web browsing activity and it is very good - the only problem is with yousendit, something that I need for my work almost every day! Ideas greatly appreciated!
Hi carriepatsalis,
You might want to make sure that all of your plugins are up-to-date:
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/pluginCheck/
I know that some sites depend on flash for their download features. You can also try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the guide to troubleshooting Extensions and themes and article troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems as well.
Hope this helps!

Download a file would normally bring up an option to open the file with the appropriate program or save it - for some reason any now just downloading it straight to the download folder. Why? Problem with Firefox or something else? It is very frustrating - sometimes, you want the first opened file so it can be discarded or stored in a different location.
Find the type of file in the Firefox -> Options -> Applications Panel, open its menu drop-down and select 'ask '. To reset all the actions of download, delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in your Firefox profile folder (or rename the mimeTypes.rdf X if you want to save as a backup). The file will be regenerated with all types of files, restore the default actions.
For more information, see application Panel - set how Firefox handles different file types and change what Firefox does when you click on or download a file .
