• Copy one file to another layer in PScc2014

  I think I saw a way to copy a layer from one file to another, when I'm in the consolidate all to tabs mode. Visible image one slide, or otherwise a layer to one of the tabs at the top of the window and this copy the layer to the image on this tab.

  I can't get it to work,

  I don't know about the 'double layer' selection in the layers panel, but there seems to be another faster way. I imagine this?

  Same thing here. Photoshop CC, Yosemite.

  What you are to select the layer on the source document that you will move. Use Opt + eyeball to hide all other layers, so you can see clearly what you are moving. Do not do anything dragging them from the layer panel, open the document window.

  Then select the tool travel, go in the document window and drag this layer on the other file document tab until it opens.

  Then, drag and drop in your destination document. You could hold down the SHIFT key if you want to Center until you drop.

  It works in CC and CC 2014.

  There may be several reasons:

  1. Color uses a shade that bears the same name in the target file, then the color in the target file replaces the color in the source file.
  2. You move between files with the merger of transparencies RGB space and transparency CMYK mix space (look in the Edit menu).
  3. The files have different color profiles and color loses saturation when displayed using different profiles in the two files.

• Buttons to copy from one file to another

  Seriously, I don't come to you guys for help until I've completely exhausted my sources online!

  I want to copy my buttons and their functions of one file to another with out having to recreate them each time.

  You could put the buttons and their code in the same framework (or pair of over/under frames) and copy/paste the image from one file to another.

  Not turning off"use graphics processor" in the Performance preference and restarting Photoshop have a bearing on the issue.

  I have a requirement to copy one schema to another. I don't have access to linux for the server hosting the database. So I guess that the datapump cannot be used. exp/imp conventional takes too long. Another way I can achieve the goal? What is the best way. is it possible to copy all the object using a dblink (triggers to tables, views, procedures etc.)

  MFT has t2p plugin that can be used to migrate the metadata for production test.

  There is an export option in the transfer page in the MFT UI that can be used to export metadata data transfer.

  This exported zip can be imported in any other environment after making the necessary changes.

• Moving files from one event to another in the same library

  When I try to move the file by dragging the clip from one event to another, I get this message that "the file could not be opened because there is no file of this type." I have Final Cut Pro X was last updated.

  Thanks for the reply Thahaseena. I think a lot of people have the same problem and it's partially the fault of Microsoft. It is the solution of the problem that works for most people if the heart of the problem is corrupt USB driver (s). The USB driver might get damaged due to defective USB device. This was my case. I bought the 16 GB Sandisk USB which has serious problems. It seems that it is real default, rather than fake. However, I am still investigating.

  This is what happens:

  -Start the copy of the file and at one point gets stuck. After all, you get that infamous error 0 x 80070079. If you try to shoot this defective USB before the error pops out, it's really dangerous abduction of USB that could cause corruption of the driver for the USB controller. This happened to me. So, after this point, none of the USB devices will be capable of the greatest copy files 1 GB +, because my USB drivers are now corrupt and and the transfer is slower. Fast devices and more small files work great, but if you have low speed USB 2.0 device it will not be able to complete the transfer of files at one time and you will receive the error.

  Solution:

  -Stop using the defective device to avoid a repetition of the problem (if you know who is defective). If you do not know, must be eliminated one by one.

  -Disconnect all USB cables except the keyboard cable (at least that is not based USB)

  -Use tabs and the arrows on the keyboard to get to Device Manager

  -Remove all usb drivers, including the one that is connected to the keyboard

  -You may need to force the closure - the dawn of the computer.

  -Do not turn on computer. Get on your knees and unplug the power cord. If you forget this step, the process of booth PC will load faulty driver again. (faulty or bad it depends on the scenario)

  -By unplugging the power cord and let it stay for at least 5 minutes, you force your PC to renegotiate the devices and drivers

  -Connect all USB cables

  -Check the usb status icon in the status bar. Sometimes, you may need to restart the computer if windows asks you to do. Restart the computer if you are not sure what I'm talking about.

  - and... Here we are. Bingo!

  Now, if you plug the faulty device once again, you will need to repeat the process. However, in my case I return to the seller or the manufacturer for repair. You can use this procedure to force the outcrop of USB drivers. That's why I say I blame partially Microsoft for that matter because there is no utility or command available to force this action automatically do that when the problem occurs. This could potentially help people with the question when a few USB ports stop working if its pilots involved.

• How to move multiple layers of one file to another?

  I used to have Photoshop CS4 and displacement of the layers between files was so easy - as long as I had chosen, I could drag all or in the menu layer or image and drop them in the other file. Now, I have Photoshop elements 14, and no matter what I do, it doesn't seem like I can move several layers at the same time. Just one at a time. And the layer must be visible to move - I didn't used to have to do it in CS4. It's extremely frustrating because I have more than 50 PSDs premade, I use for editing photos, and I would like to be able to move each individual each PSD layer in each file of the photo, so I can test most / all of them to see what works best with the photo. If I can only move one layer at a time, which makes the slow work to a crawl. I really need to be able to simply select all the PSD files and pass at once - and they should not have to be visible in order to move them. Can someone tell me how to proceed? I'm new so the use of the elements, and it seems so different from CS4, I'm having a lot of trouble with this transition

  SHIFT select the layers that you want to copy/move with the right button of the mouse and choose Duplicate Layer (or the menu Layer/Duplicate layer...). • I can script volume shadow copy service files to copy VSS files to another server?

  Wanted to ask if it was possible to take the info created by VSS and move it to another server? The reason why I ask is that I need to information to a file on a backup server, copy it to another standby server and have it ready to go when the original bang goes machine!

  While enjoying the fact than expected jobs work fine with the backup software and can copy the file backup due to another server as a :-) scheduled task I can't put automated restoration work to restore back this folder on a daily basis by using the backup of windows server or backup exec (very annoying!). I was wondering if I could create shadow copies of the file/volume concerned on the original server, and then have a script that has copied the files on the backup server?

  Just in addition, the concerned files/folders are usually left "open" or "locked" (these include mdb files too!) so just using xcopy etc will not work :-(

  Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome :-)

  I have a problem that I'm sure has a simple explanation but I don't know.  I have a folder in the tree that whenever a user moves a file from one folder to another, the permissions do not update.  Yet if a user copies the folder to the same location, permissions to update as expected.  This only happens with XP.  If I try with Win 7, if the user moves or copies, update permissions.

  I spent hours and hours trying to JavaScript code, but I can't make it work. My PDF form, I want to open it to quickly copy information from one box to the other.
