  Just one extra point. I guess that you are talking about the \$Extend\$UsnJrnl:$J metafile; It is a fragmented NTFS file. The oldest entries are reset to zero while the file increases so they don't take any physical disk space. Actually used disk space may not exceed greatly MaxSIze + DeltaAllocation.

• Best way to manage permissions of Workflows and Actions

  I'm sure I'm missing something, but is it possible to easily manage permissions for workflows and actions? At the present time (and again, I'm sure that I'm not doing this right), I'm granting permissions to a LDAP group for a workflow, then log in as a user in this group and run the workflow. I'll see where I get an exception (for example impossible to run the 'addVAppTemplateVM' action, you have no right to 'performance'), then review to administer-> Actions-> vCloud:addVAppTemplateVM, and then modify this action and give privs view/run for my LDAP group. I have then rerunning the workflow as this member of the LDAP group and see what the new exception is and repeat until the workflow completes successfully.

  Now, when I want to grant access to a second LDAP group (or new individual user), I need to remember what I had to grant privileges to, or I go through the process again (trial and error until it works).

  I guess this can be facilitated with the permissions tab? But I can't find how to exactly use this function successfully.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Checked with the developer working on this file - it should be available in + 5.5.0 and vCO versions 5.1.2+.

• Invoke a workflow with Pages of a workflow with Fragments

  Hi, I am a newbie in the ADF and my first time posting here. I designed an application that consists of an accordion panel on the left, with a dynamic region on the right, whose content changes in a fragment of a different page depending on what choice the user clicks on in the Panel of the accordion. So far so good. Everything seems to work well.

  Some of these fragments that appear on the right side have buttons that need to call jsf pages (fragments of not). But here's where I'm stuck. I tried to create a workflow to represent this type of navigation, but anyway, I tried to do it themselves with the error that I can not reference a page of a workflow that consists of fragments.

  How can I make a call to another page, from a button in a page fragment, using workflow?

  The problem is that trying to navigate to a full page of a region. You can use a parent navigation which then calls the other workflow. Another option you can try is a goLink or goButton with the blank target to open a new page or tab.

  I hit a limit he my knowledge on the task runs, more precisely the task flow returns and the Parent stock and help someone could help please.

With this restriction, it is not possible to register the shares of Parent to BTF #2 which would cause the parent BTF #1 Fragment #1 other than fragments in BTF #1.
  
  (Note Please be clear about the understanding of our needs here. BTF # 2 is incorporated as a region in Fragment No. 1 BTF #1, we has stocks of parent use causes the navigation at BTF #1. If Furthermore Fragment #1 1 # BTF had called a quite distinct #2 Fragment in BTF #2 rather than points in a region, we could have simply used the results of the job flow returns. This is not possible with the model region shipped that we use)
  
  So I'm stuck. How can BTF #2 both complete himself with the correct task flow returns and call a Parent Action?

  Hi Chris,

  Can't call you commit / rollback manually before calling action parent and let JDeveloper whining about it? How he reacts when running? Another option may be to use the contextual events instead of the action of the parent and returns a workflow. That being said, I've never had much success with the contextual event so, personally, I'll try the first option before.

  If I remember correctly, in JSF that EL has Long type so this probably also applies to ADF.

  For example, you can cast a Long or you can use the type field (from some managed bean) an integer as an input parameter.

  For mobile applications and kiosk facilities, you should use ActionScript 3 and not HTML5. The coding is still not too difficult, and you would not be limited to what HTML5 can do.

  If you have other reasons to use HTML5, you can either run in a browser that can do a booth of fashion, or you could do a Mac/Windows overflows that had a StageWebView in it, in order to show web content.

  I did a lot of kiosks and CD-ROM, but all the kiosks were made with Adobe Director, which is always a good choice for booth work, especially if the kiosk has to interface with external hardware.

  Update:

  After having to stop and start the "WorkFlow Notification Mailer" (as opposed to simply make my change and that it tell me that the configuration has been changed) my admin email said me no more communication with the old server so I think it's the solution.

• ZFS and fragmentation

  I don't see Oracle on ZFS often, in fact, I've been called also to meet the first. The database had heavy issues of IO, both by the undersized IOPS capability, but also a lack of performance on safeguards - part reading of it. The ability of the OPS / s has been extended easily by adding more LUNS, so I stayed with very poor bandwidth experienced by RMAN, reading of data files. iostat showed that during a single copy of the data file (cp and dd with 1MiB block), the average block IO size was very small and various wildly. I was afraid of fragmentation, so I started the test.

  I wrote a small C program that initializes a datafile 10 GiB on ZFS and several times the fact

  1-1000 random 8KiB written with random data (content) limits of 8KiB (mimicking a 8KiB database block size)

  2 - a full reading of the end data file at the end in 128 * 8KiB = 1MiB e / s. (imitating the copies of the file of data, backups rman, complete sweep of the table, index full scans)

  3 - goto 1

  It is a data file that gets the random writes and is full analyzed to see the impact of the written word at random on the multiblock read performance. Note that the data file is not cultivated, all scriptures are on existing data.

  Although I expect fragmentation (it must come from somewhere), is dismayed by the results. ZFS sucks really big time in this scenario. Ext3, on which I ran the same tests (on the exact same storage), the timings of reading have been stable (around), ZFS started with 10 ms and went up 35ms for 1 128 * 8Kib IO after 100,000 random writes to the file. It has not reached the end of the trial again - service times continue to increase, so the test takes a very long time. I expect to stop somewhere - the file might finally be completely fragmented and cannot be broken up more.

  I started noticing statements that seem to recognize this behavior in some Oracle whitepapers, as otherwise unexplained tips to copy data files regularly. Indeed, copy the file back it defragments. I cannot tell you all this means downtime.

  On the production server, this issue got so bad that the migration to a new system of different files by copying the files will take much longer that restore backup to disk - backup to disk are written once and are not fragmented. They are lucky, the application requires full scan of the table or index fast full, or perhaps unfortunate scans, because this question were would become impossible to ignore earlier.

  I have observed the fragmentation with all the logbias and detailleerecordsize parameters that are recommended by Oracle for ZFS. ZFS caches could use RAM 14GiB (and moslty made), bigger than the file itself.

  The question is, of course, am I missing something here? Who else has experienced this problem?

  Well, I had a customer business of multi-billion dollar, running Oracle on ZFS (Solaris x 86) infrastructure and it works pretty well. In fact, ZFS introduces a "new level of complexity", but it's worth for some clients (especially the snapshot have for example).

  Maybe you hit a question I/O timing. I wrote a blog post on a ZFS problem and its synchronization with RMAN I/O behavior: performance (backup) [Oracle] RMAN with synchronous i/o depends on the OS limits

  Unfortunately, you have not provided enough information to confirm this.

  How the layout of the ZFS pool looks like? Is the entire database in the same pool? As a first step, you need to separate the log files and data in different ponds. ZFS works with "copy on write".

  How the free ZFS space look like? Depending on the free space of the ZFS pool, you can delay the "ZFS" snood or sometimes let (based on usage of the pool), it disappears completely.

  ZFS snood can be traced with DTrace. For example like this:

  In the API Explorer, you can see the Classes and their attributes and methods. In "alignment" of Java (most of them is provided by Plugins developed in Java), they are indicated in CamelCase. In your script, you will need to use CamelCase if you are referring to the class itself (and not an instance of this class). Thus, for example, if you want to instantiate a new object, you would use

The problem is that, often, these pages of .jsff are nested in page templates, model train, dynamic regions, etc. AFAIK, the original goal of a component is on the document. The trick is to find what all the prefixes are before the .jsff component.

• Workflow and issue composition

  I have images of 22 cameras, GoPro, mp4, I imported natively into AE (11,02, OS 10.8.3 Mac 2.66 mhz Quad tour 16 g of RAM) in 1 composition.  I intend to achieve the desired effect and exit then a codec production, prores 422 for inclusion in my first project timeline.  Is this a valid workflow?

  Following the issue of membership:

  Most of the 22 cameras (in a table) recorded two or more files of the 16 mintes of execution, (there are 6 a separated in that time).  Before, I wrote these film files (after aligning a slate and for each layer continuous playback) to neaten up upwards and make more compact my calendar of EI.

  The effect I'm trying to achieve is a time-Slice/Bullet Time where I can "cut" one camera to the other throughout the Bay, thus freezing the action, but having the 'camera' move topic - and then the last layer/camera continue to play.  Specific I want to freeze, I set the opacity of each layer 0 successively to preview it help "freeze point" However in my ram only the first layer plays images.  Without the transformation of opacity to each layer, I can make a rough version of what I'm trying to do this solo ' ing each individual layer and I can't understand why making it each opacity of layer 0 successively does not work.

  Also once I have finished all the transformations of the opacity, the lower layer must be visible 1 framework after the layer above it goes to the opacity of the O, but actually, it's BLACK!  What the devil?

  Should I drag each image layer 1 forward in reading an image so only 1 of each layer?  Once again "turn on and turn off" each layer with an opacity?  I found the answer to this question, at least for now.  Each successive clip gets cut to the desired picture, then slipped a picture in front of the upper layer (save the top layer, which is reduced to the image).  In this way the same frame plays again and again with each camera along the Bay.

  I made a mistake using the comps pre mixed with the film 1 - taking?  In other words, my main computer now includes preliminary comps of the 2 files produced by most devices, as well as the original footage from these cameras mp4 that has recorded only a single file for the action.

  And further; Once I have the visible images in the correct sequence would be I before dial again and apply a sfx as displacement of the pixels to interpolate between the difference/door frames due to the difference of the position of each camera?  Please suggest another stream of work or layout composition!

  I hope I was clear, I am here and ready to clarify if I omitted no details.

  I would be forever grateful for the answers to questions pending if someone has an entry for me.  The question now is: remapping time or timewarp (which one?) front Displacement of the pixels - and displacement of the pixels is better for image interpolation smooth all this?

  Let me comment on one thing here:

  Here's the deal. The CTI is at the beginning of a frame. This means that if you look at the value for this image, you will see the actual values for this image. If you set 0 then it is the value of the image, you are on, not the next image. If you have a top to the frame 105 layer opacity 0 value and the layer directly beneath it also set to 0 then the two frames are 0. It's logical.

  I think that you go about it the wrong way. You do a lot of work for yourself that you don't need to do. If you have all your synchronized layers and in the left right order to the right and you want to make a gel frame 200 then set the CTI to frame 200, divide all layers, then move all the new layers to the top of the comp and select them. This can be done with three keystrokes. [Ctrl/Cmnd + A to select all the layers, Ctrl / Cmnd + D to split all selected layers, Ctrl/Cmnd +] to move all layers to the top.

  Now, use Ctrl/Cmnd + right arrow to move an image to the right and repeat the procedure. An easy way to mark these executives cut for easy selection would be to define a color label group. Select all the layers above the initial allocation (your layers of the image and the upper layers) and choose Animation > keyframe Assistant > sequence layers. Now the first layer above the layers of single frame, snap the CTI to that layer by pressing on the I have key, put a chronological marker, select all the layers above the layers of the unique image and press Shift + Alt/Option + the home line up on the first image and then catch them and hold down the SHIFT key to align ICT while dragging.

  That's all. It takes about 10 seconds. Now you can compost before this lot all over and put in place any interpolation or the time-remapping that you want in the precomp.
