Where can I download the utility configuration program wpc11cfg.exe for my wireless network pc card snapshot wpc11 for windows 98 SE.  Thank you.

  • Satellite A300: cannot start: blocked by Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility

    {SUMMARY: "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility" appears every time you start, requesting a non-existent password.} How to get rid of this request? }

This one is a little weird. We have a Tosh Satellite A300-193 mobile (Code manufacturer: PSAJ1E-01000XEN) purchased from July 2008 (via Getech educational scheme). We have (had) Kaspersky Anti-virus on this subject, but since his license has expired (and they didn't really like it), I was going to remove and install Avast.

Kasperky removal instructions involve have their tool "kavremove" who say their instructions must be run in safe mode. So, after downloading the tool, I pressed F8 to boot into safe mode...

... And that's where things went wrong. Instead of typical black screen startup options screen, I got a splash screen at the level type, with a request for password of "Phoenix TrustedCore Setup Utility. We have never set a password on this computer, and I've never seen this particular screen before. After three bad guess (of course they're wrong!, and it does not matter if I leave the field blank), the unit turns off.

Now when I turn it on, it just goes right to the request for password of Phoenix: I hit F2, F12, F8 or whatever it is. I can't establish why it should do, or how I can possibly bypass it. None of my password guess work (of course).

I googled for hours (literally), closes the thing, I could find were instructions in [a post on the forum USA | http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/Windows-Vista-Windows-XP/Satellite-A205-Cannot-Access-BIOS/m-p/123075#M7749]. It was a partial solution: we can start the machine with this procedure (phew!).

Unfortunately, it is not a permanent solution. After EACH stop, at the next start-up presents impossible demand "password." So it comes to pull the battery (again), to the phase of "discharging", battery, turn on and - it boots. Or at least, he has every time so far.

This is going to be extremely painful. Any tips or to tackle the problem of pointers, which would be welcome. I will never see this request for password "Setup Utility".

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think the password loss is the BIOS password.
I m wondering why this password is displayed when starting if you have not set it

However, the point is that the BIOS password can be removed if you n t know this password.
Unknown BIOS password can be removed by a Toshiba authorized service partner.

  • Install the hardware setup utility - incorrect serial number

    Hello

When I try to install 'Hardware configuration utility' 1.48.0.11C or 1.48.0.09C on my TOSHIBA X 200-245, I get the error message "invalid serial number" (in French: the serial number is incorrect).

    How can I do?

This utility is no name on my laptop.

    Thank you

    Hello
What operating system do you use? If you are using Windows XP you must install Hardware Setup Utility Version 0.48.21.C. You must take care, to use the version appropriate for your operating system. There is little difference between these versions.

  • popup red screen cmos setup utility

When I start windows, the normal start screen shows but then stops at halfway. He then asked: press F1 to resume. When I press F1 a red popup CMOS Setup Utility screen opens ads settings. How can I stop this screen to come and slowing down the boot process?

I think that this problem started when I installed "windows security essentials". Would it perhaps be the problem or is this another place?

  • insydeH20 Setup utility

    Dear Sir.

I have laptop Acer V5-473PG for over a year now and using W8.1. My problem is now (for a month), whenever I start my laptop, the screen goes to "insydeH20 Setup utility". Then I have to press ESC, press enter for 'Yes' and the screen will continue to Windows. FYI, my W8.1 works fine as far as I can see.

This happens every time whenever I have boots / starting my laptop. Is it a bad sign for me? My laptop goes R.I.P?

    Thanks in advance.

    fenolly75,

Sorry to hear that you have problems, there are a few things you can try:

Enter the BIOS and restore the default values to make sure that there wasn't something changed accidentally.

Attempt a repair to start on your system to see if that solves the problem.

Try a system restore before you start having this problem.

Perform a refresh to try and repair the Windows operating system files, some programs may be lost with this feature, that's why I introduced it last.

  • Acer Aspire V3 - 772G - BIOS setup utility menus have disappeared

Acer Aspire V3 - 772G - BIOS setup utility menus have disappeared

I have install this laptop brand new, pre-installed with Windows 8.1 for my sister-in-law who bought it.  The installation went well BUT the 16 GB USB device I bought such as advised by the literature of Acer to store the recovery partition was not large enough, 14.4 GB physical capacity.  Acer the book says to use a 16 GB or more, so I did.  I naively thought that a USB key which has been marked 16 GB would be appropriate.  Not the case.  I had to buy a bigger but am still waiting for delivery.

So I decided to any HARD drive to save the work I had done, but found only the Acronis Backup and Recovery DVD would not start the image.  I went into the utility configuration and adjusted the start parameters to inherited and modified device priority.  Acronis wouldn't so I did not continue.  I went back into the configuration utility, use F9 to restore the default value and to my astonishment that the DUAL boot option was now gone and Windows startup option was also gone.

This means that £800 this laptop is now unusable.  The installer standalone reconfigured without warning.  Nowhere is there at - it advice or advice do not use the Setup utility when it erases the features that cannot be recovered by using F9 to restore the default configuration.  If this isn't a serious design flaw, I don't know what is.

I am deeply worried because the idea of a BIOS setup utility behave in this way seems so unlikely that I wonder if anyone will believe me.  How are the Setup utility has been designed to self-harm like this?

Your suggested action works!  Thank you very much.  You saved my life.

  • No bootable devices strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for Setup utility, press f5 to run onboard diagnostics

I know that many people have posted a thread with this type of problem, but none of them doesn't seem to be exactly like mine. I have a Dell inspiron e1405. I bought probably a year and a half. It works very well almost all the time I got it. The other day I was using it and everything was fine and I shut down normally and the next morning I go to turn it on and I get a black screen with the words 'no bootable devices strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for Setup utility, press f5 to run onboard diagnostics' displayed at the top of the screen. I ran diagnostics and it said I had no recognizable hard drive. I ran the vista installation disk and tried to fix it and it wouldn't work. He said there is no disc to repair. I went to just install windows again, hoping he will fix everything that was wrong with my hard drive. When he went to install it says that there is no disc in windows partition. I tried reinstalling the hard disk and no chance. It is reasonable to assume that my hard drive is fried, or is there anything else I could do to try to fix?

    Help, please

If you go into the BIOS see the drive listed?  If the list... it could well be the MBR corruption.  Good luck!

  • How do get you the cell phone of Aptio Setup utility loop?

My laptop Samsung series 3, which works under windows 8, began to update something and after turning off the power. When he died I turned it back. When it was loading up a strange beep came from my laptop. After the noise he black and showed the Samsung logo. That, he went to Aptio Setup utility. I tried to get out, but it is just the same thing. I tried to change the time system, but did not. My bios version is P07ABF and my laptop model number is NP365E5C. Someone help me!

    Hello

It seems that you may have to contact Samsung about this problem.

But see if that helps you.

    http://www.computing.NET/answers/Windows-8/cant-get-out-of-aptio-Setup-utility-on-Samsung-laptop/1513.html

It is information about codes of "beep".

"beep" codes normally indicate a hardware problem / failure.

Go to your computer manufacturer's website and look at the specifications of your PC to see what BIOS you have

Then read this on the 'beep' error codes to try to see what failed:

    http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

    http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/nonworkingcomponent/HT/beepcodestb.htm

If you are unable to determine the hardware problem yourself, contact the manufacturer if under warranty.

If it is not under warranty, find a good repair shop premises to take.

    See you soon.

  • Satellite Pro A200 - Supervisor Password Setup Utility fails

    Hello

I own a Satellite Pro A200-PSAE7E and a license to retail for Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition (with SP1) is installed.

Before installing Vista, I have updated the BIOS to the latest version available on the Toshiba site (http://it.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/vista_drivers.jsp?service=IT).
    BIOS version is now 2.20 - WIN32

After the installation of the operating system, I started to install different drivers and utilities to download them from the Toshiba site.

When I try to install the "utility supervisor password" Setup fails with a box of message that says "serial number is not valid.
Same problem with a different Installer: "utility of Support Flash Cards.

Someone knows how to solve this problem and what serial number is not valid?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello Hana

If someone has to take care of the warning, it's Microsoft. They offer something new and they know with certainty that he could have different negative influence on the operating system running well.

Toshiba may just try to react and change has tools and utilities, but it's not easy. you will see that soon or later Toshiba will offer updates for all non-working stuff. The same is with WXP SP2.

    Hello

I put t know exactly what it is the sense of shared module, but perhaps that it s often resorted to the module.
This application is necessary for the good state of different tools of Toshiba.
In this case, I would recommend reinstallation of this application.

You must use The Windows Installer Cleanup utility to uninstall the game.  You can also run System File Checker.
