WPC600N PC card Toshiba laptop

I just installed the software and then inserted the card WPC600N. I get no power LED on it. The laptop still connect with the internal network adapter. I tried to disable the network adapter in the BIOS. Still not good. I don't see a Linksys network monitor as shown in the manual WPC600N. It seems that it has not installed (him can not see the menu start/programs). If I try and install again, I said that the driver is already installed.

The laptop is a Toshiba P205 under Vista Home Premium.

The router is a WRT610N. It works well with a Gbit wired connection and also installation of office by using a WMP300N.

Any thoughts on how to get the WPC600N to install correctly?

Thank you

Kevin

Well, deleted the software and re0installed. I have always get no power light on the map and get no network monitor in the system tray.

I guess I'll call Linksys!

Thanks again,

Kevin

    Hello Perek

  • Issue wireless and slow graphic on Toshiba laptop

It must connect to the Internet even I 30Mbit/s so fast connection and sometimes it is not even connect to the Internet from the worst wireless card that I've ever seen of the age.
And can someone tell me what I have on the wireless settings when I test my speed it will not display the parameters: 356Mbits/s, he jumps, here is a picture where I mean what settings I have to correct this: [http://www.pikipimp.com/pp/pimped_photo/s/image/41/108/213/Sk_rmklipp4.JPG?ts=1233587970173]

And the second 2 is the graphics card: oh my 6 year old laptop guy girfriends, and he acknowledges so fast when I click to watch videos online on the Internet, but with my NEW Toshiba laptop, I expect age to open video diffrient, here on example: [http://channelchooser.com]
Why the graphics settings are so old so bad it sounds as if it was a joke, so slow when I play games The Graphic 3D - OMG - why?

These 2 are not only the problem, but they are more important problem for me that's why I posted them, because there are more question, but it's only under Vista or XP as well?

In your case I would update the graphics driver and WLAN.
The two you can find on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

The image that you posted the question wireless is not available.
However, I put t know how to access the internet, but it could also be a router issue. Try to update the firmware and check all of the WLAN settings on it and on your laptop.

On the issue with online videos, I can say that you should try a different browser or plug-in (often you need Adobe Flash Player) is not working properly.
Check and update software which are required for this.

  • Fresh install of Windows 7 on Toshiba laptop

    Hello guys,.

I recently bought a Toshiba computer that comes with a lot of programs installed that I honestly do not need.
According to me, the computer is very slow to start, even if it's a powerful model in half.

Opening internet explore took more than 30 seconds and he had as much as two toolbars in this already and there is more than 40 programs in the list programs accessed through Control Panel.

Some might need these programs, but I did not.
I think so. And this is the best.
I have a clean DVD of Windows 7 has ordered Microsoft to and I thought that I format the Toshiba and install a clean version of W7.

However, someone told me that it couldn't be as easy as it sounds: the Toshiba touchpad and the bar scroll and similar of Toshibas products/materials have their own drivers I won't get during installation of W7 and I could get in trouble for my operational computer if I do this.

So I was wondering if anyone knows anything on this topic or not.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what Toshiba laptop you have.
In most cases drivers for Win 7 are available and can be installed.

But even if drivers Win 7 is not available for your laptop model, you would be able to install Windows 7.
I did on my A200 unit and noticed not all Win 7 drivers were ready for download

I collected important factors in my own hand, for example the VAP (value added package), pilot of the touchpad, utility support Flash (important for the FN keys), WLan, LAN card, etc. are model independent and you can download these drivers that have been released for other series of portable Satellite

  • Question about Certification WPA on Toshiba laptops

Toshiba are unable to provide information on a particular model without a serial number. I'm considering a purchase, but I first need the WPA information.

    Hello

WPA encryption depends on the WLan card. If you want to buy one, then you should check if this books has one card Wlan.
But how would I know which card was installed in the laptop without to know the name of the Toshiba laptop.

The best way is to google for more information on the web.

  • New Ati Mobility Catalayst pilot - why no Support for Toshiba laptops

The new driver ati mobility report, released 2010-05-26, does not support Toshiba laptops. It is said in the release notes:

The following books are not supported in this version:
All laptops launched after this version of the driver
Portable computers compatible switchable graphics card using the Intel chipsets.
Toshiba laptops (please contact the OEM driver laptop
    supported for these laptops)

My question is, Toshiba released a update driver display for their laptops, especially P300-281 PSPCCE Windows 7 32/64-bit?

I was expecting an ati mobility denounce pilot since I bought this laptop.

    Hello

    > Toshiba Will release an update for their laptops display driver, especially P300-281 PSPCCE Windows 7 32/64-bit?

I think it's a bad place to ask this question.
This is a user to user forum and we can only speculate if you want you can call and ask the Toshiba hotline for new...

But the fact is that Toshiba provides drivers updated the own to protect the graphics chips from damage.
Other manufacturers don t know what why do

However, I managed to install the graphics driver from ATi and nVidia page on my two Toshiba laptops.
I did it in the Device Manager. I used the Advanced Setup that allows you to point to the driver files downloaded from the page from ATI or nVidia

But note; You can use and test 3rd third-party drivers only at you own risk.

  • Two years trying to get Toshiba laptop wireless connection works

I tried for two years to try and get the connection Wireless on my Toshiba laptop to work without much success. For a short period I managed to connect the laptop to a desktop computer's ad-hoc wireless and share the internet connection in this way but then it stopped working.

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400 - 15L model no PSU45E-00J005EN. It is with the 12.1 "screen and running Windows XP Pro sp3.

My wireless switch on the front of the laptop is turned on. It is also activated in the software Fn F5 wireless enabled, disabled bluetooth. I don't have Intel ProSet.

Already when I was able to establish an ad hoc connection using microsofts software. I had to manually activate the Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC) whenever even if, as he always began with disabilities or order even if I set it to start automatically. It is a monumental PITA.

When I try and connect to the ADSL wireless router (Belkin N150) using the Toshiba Software, I get the message error "application from another provider is controlling the wireless adapter.

I get all the time, even though I turned off Microsoft Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC).

I thought that Windows controlled always somehow it even though I disabled WZC, so after reading solutions in other posts, that I tried to go...

    -> Control Panel-> network connections-> wireless-> properties-wireless networks tab > uncheck "use Windows to configure...". ».

But unfortunately there is not 'the wireless networks tab' in there, all I have is the other two tabs. And since trying to use Toshibas software to connect wireless using their Radar thing, now when I click the wireless network connection in there the message "Windows cannot configure this wireless connection. If you have enabled another program to configure this wireless connection, use that software. »

Can someone on the forum or using Toshiba please?

    Thank you

    John

Two years? Sorry, but I can't believe it.

If everything is Ok and I mean if there is no hardware problem you n t need more than two minutes for the WLAN configuration.

As a first step, you must be sure that the wireless network card is installed correctly (Device Manager).
Wireless network card must also be enabled correctly (switch > check FN + F8 > check ConfigFree tool).
When the wireless network card that it is correctly enabled scan (check the status of ConfigFree) the area with RADAR option in ConfigFree.
    You will find this option?
    You can scan the area?
Some WLAN is visible for your laptop?

  • Toshiba laptop problem after Gaming/Windows Update.__No solution on the web.

Hello! I use a Toshiba laptop.

I was playing a game and windows update popped up!

He has not yet finished, and my computer turns off. It was late in the night, so I decided to start the computer the next day.

He will appear with the options
    'Safe Mode '.
    "Safe mode with network.
    "Safe mode with command prompt.
    "Last good known Configuration".
    "Start Windows normally".

Whichever one I choose Windows XP logo appears, then crashes immediately, restart.

So I tried to use "do not restart in case of shutdown"

    And the blue screen appears

    "stop: 0x0000007e (0x905c49b8, 0xf792b2b4, 0 x 80000003, 0xf792afb0).

What is this error? I can't enter safe mode by the way!

    Thanks for your help.

    It's http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330182

Advanced Troubleshooting use the following methods in the order in which they are presented. Method 1: Make sure that you have enough hard drive firstly space, make sure you have enough hard disk space. The Stop error message can be caused by insufficient disk space.

If you use safe mode or the Recovery Console to start the computer, delete any unnecessary temporary files, Internet cache files, backup files of stored-program files that contain fragments of disk analysis files (.chk files). Alternatively, you can install Windows XP on another hard drive that has more free space.

If you cannot start the computer, go to the next method to update the BIOS of the computer.

For more information on safe mode or the Recovery Console click on the numbers below to view the articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

315222 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222/) a description of the options to start Windows XP in Safe Mode
314058 (http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314058/fr/) Description of the Windows XP Recovery Console

Method 2: Update the computer BIOS if freeing space on your hard drive has not solved the problem, the BIOS might have to be updated. Use hardware and software vendor contact information items that are listed in the "Références" section to contact the computer manufacturer to obtain the most recent update of the BIOS.

Note When you update the BIOS, you may have to disable the memory the BIOS options, such as caching or shadowing him, temporarily. Method 3: Disable or update device drivers if you have successfully updated the BIOS and the problem persists, on the computer video card drivers may have to be updated or disabled. Follow these steps to troubleshoot video card drivers:

    1. If a driver is listed by name in the Stop error message, disable or remove that driver.

      • If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is using the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver.
      • If the driver is used as part of the procedure of starting the system in safe mode, you must use the Recovery Console to start the computer.
    2. If the Stop error message does not indicate a specific driver, update the video card for the latest drivers.
    3. Disable or remove drivers or services that you recently added.
    4. Check the list of Microsoft hardware compatibility (HCL) to determine if the computer's PCI devices are compatible with Windows XP. For more information about the HCL, see the Microsoft Web site at the following address:
      http://www.Microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/hcl/default.mspx)

Method 4: Remove unsigned drivers if you have updated the video card drivers and the problem persists, or if you cannot start Windows in safe mode, the problem may be caused by a different driver, not signed. Remove all drivers that are not digitally signed by Microsoft. For more information on how to do this, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

316434 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434/) how to perform advanced clean boot troubleshooting in Windows XP

Method 5: Remove all third-party drivers, you may be unable to determine which third-party driver causes the error. If removing unsigned drivers does not resolve the problem, try to move all third-party driver to the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder files to another location. Follow these steps to move the third-party driver files:

    1. Use the Recovery Console to start the computer, or start the computer from a different installation of Windows if you have performed a parallel Windows installation.
    2. Create a temporary folder for the driver files. For example, you can create a c:\DriverTemp .
    3. Move all files that do not have a creation date for Windows XP of the 13/08/2001 to the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder to the temporary folder you created in step 2.

Warning If the computer relies on pilots third-party IDE or SCSI controller for correct operation, you must identify those driver files and leave them in the %Windir%\System32\Drivers folder.

    4. Restart the computer.
    5. Continue Windows Setup. You can add the files of the driver to the computer, one at a time to identify the faulty driver.

Method 6: Remove third-party remote control services if you still have the problem after you use the previous methods and the Stop error message contains the name of the file Win32k.sys instead of a file name of the driver, the problem may be caused by a control program to third distance. To remove the service, use the Recovery Console to start the computer, and then delete the file of control service third-party remote.

the touchpad on my toshiba laptop with windows vista is disable, and I don't know who to make it work again.

    Hello

Toshiba has also map of keys which allow easy adjustment of the TouchPad. See support for Toshiba
and Forums. The key shortcut for the TouchPad, if they are responsible in the Fn + F9 or see the key card
So usually loaded at the top of the screen.

There is also usually a TouchPad control utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock
    at the bottom right.

Toshiba support - click Communcate for links to the Forums and Contact Toshiba.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp

Toshiba downloads - access your model.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp?NAV=download

Toshiba forums - good source of info from others who have the same system or similar
    http://laptopforums.Toshiba.com/

Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there probably
are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Also check the control - Mouse - touchpad settings panel.

    You can also try this:

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touch pad-
The driver tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything like MS is far behind certifying)
(drivers), now right CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in).
    RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad
    of work.

Here is the similar procedure in XP, Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific
    device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the website of the manufacturer of system (Toshiba downloads - access your model - listed above)
and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

I'd appreciate any help if it pleases you and would be happy to help you debug.

    You have two problems:

1 non-supported video driver for your graphics processor from intel.  (you corrected it by putting to use the Nvidia card that manages a supported driver).

    2. application error to generate a NullPointerException. (you have not fixed this).

The two issues are not related.  I think that if you do not load the FXML, the app will probably start fine with a white screen.

Code line 802 BackupGnuCashMigorController.java is the one that generates your NullPointerException.

How and why you get a NullPointerException on this line of code is impossible to say without seeing the code.

Seen 802 lines of code in a post on the forum, would just overload, then maybe create a minimal NBS, which illustrates the problem (and includes all that someone could use to run and get the issue, and that this code that is also to include the fxml).

  • What graphic card/computer laptop to buy for Elements13?

    Hello

On my portable record/save a video from 03:30 minutes takes about 15-30 minutes. I'm about to buy a new laptop to Windows, are there specific graphic cards and CPU that would make the rendering and recording the fastest possible?

    Thank you, Miki

    Miki,

According to John Smith, I have not found a Nvidia graphics card to do something special with pre.

I had a Toshiba laptop with an i5 and slower HARD drive.  He bit mutch mached your performancd.

I have now a 'gamer' that I have never played games ASUS.  I bought a few years ago for PrE.  "Gamers" of ASUS seem to have features like the HP workstations, but are much cheaper.

There an i7, plenty of RAM, a 7200 RPM HARD and an SSD drive.  I installed all the software on the SSD that is important, the less important software installed on the HARD drive and saved about 80 GB SSD disk for video projects.  I use external drives USB 3.0 for additional media storage and backups.  In other words, the SSD does everything for video editing.  It works and is fast.  I tried put temporary files and files video source on the HARD drive and saw no noticeable improvement in speed.  If I do enough with effects, transitions, adjustments, mixed, etc., the "speedy" can be less.  It even works with my brand new 4K footage.

I think that the three keys to speed are an i7, lots of RAM and an SSD.

  • Can I use the Windows Vista I had with my Toshiba laptop on virtual machine?

    Hey all

I have changed Microsoft for Macintosh, but installed on a virtual machine (oracle vm virtual machine) my Windows Vista I got with my Toshiba Satellite A350D Notebook previous. I installed Vista with the recovery disk. Now he asks me the Windows Vista product key. The sticker on the back of my laptop is more readable. I run the Belarc Advisor to get the product key in this way. But right now, he said: "it's the product key installed at the factory by the manufacturer rather than yours. You can change this to your product key here for Windows http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=45668"

My question: am I not allowed to use windows vista legally, I had with my computer toshiba laptop on other devices? I won't use the Thoshiba laptop. Do I have to delete the record from the Thoshiba laptop? Where can I get a new product key?

Maybe someone can help me here. Thank you in advance for taking your time to read this.

    Betty

Recovery disk or recovery image is designed for some cell phone only and is not a kind of universal image that can be used on other devices. It comes with the laptop.

You can use the Microsoft Windows disk with valid license on each device. Recovery image is not only BONES. This is the package that contains the drivers and tools specific to Toshiba and utilities.
As you also know recovery image when you install it on your laptop must be turned on not so the license code downstairs just proves you have purchased a valid license with your laptop.
    > Should I remove the record of the Toshiba laptop?
    Not why do this?
    > Where can I get a new product key?
You cannot get it because you need when you use the recovery image on your Satellite A300D. I think even you will hear of Toshiba.

  • How to install Windows XP Professional on Toshiba laptop?

    Hi all

I'm asking on behalf of a friend who is a Computer Phobic and has the same brand and model of Toshiba laptop than me. He would like to go back instead of Windows Vista business to Windows XP Professional.

Its hard drive is the hard disk from Western Digital WD 1200BEVS. He told me that when he went to install Windows XP, it came with no HARD drive. I don't know if I can quote the chipset here, but here it is anyway. The chipset is an Intel(r) ICH8M ultra ata storage controllers-2850. All the advice in a simple format would be gratefull. He downloaded the bios unsuccessfully and nlite to work on a computer with some help of a computer technician on a thumb (flash) drive)

I'm someone who can help thanking on behalf of my friend who is a Computer Phobic and does not have an interweb connection.
