WRT110 problems

I don't know what is happening... I've had this router for a few months no problem. The last two weeks when my computer goes into sleep mode and returns it will connect to the wireless server. I can plug into the LAN and it works. I can sometimes fix other that it will not work. It got progressively worse. At first, I could just do a repair or restart the laptop, but now it's getting worse and I can not get it to connect at all. I have another computer that works very well, but this is an office with a wireless card. Just got a Wii and no problems obtained after the problems started.

Any ideas? It is the router or is it my laptop? It works fine on other networks eateries and customer sites.

I found another post that told me to disable TCP/IPv6 on the properties of network connections. I don't know if it's the fault of Vista or wireless adapters, but fixed it.

  • Password WIFI WRT110 problem

    Hello world

I have a very strange problem.  First of all, I told chapter of wireless security WPA and typed in my password.  However what connection in my name of the wireless network of my password never worked.  Second, I completely disabled security and tried to just connect without any password, but I was still asked a password however.  I checked and checked and saved the settings by ensuring that security has been turned off, but I was still asked for a password when choosing my wireless network!

I could probably restore my WRT110 to factory settings, but I don't want to lose the other configurations as some open ports and IP addresses, that I opened for the firewall.

Is it possible for me to fix my WiFI password problem without restore factory default?  I just need to understand how to operate the the WiFi passpharse.  Here's what I have here:

    Security mode: WPA Personal

    Encryption: TKIP

    Password: 0sunspot0

    The key renewal: 3600 seconds

However, when I get my wireless network and try to connect by typing in 0sunspot0, I get an authentication failure.

    I'm doing something wrong?

    Thank you

    Victor.

Save all your settings, so you can restore them after a reset.  Remove the password completely and try to connect without password.  If successful, go back and add WPA2-AES with a new password without special characters.   No test.  If no joy, hard, reset the router and restore it from your back upward and try again.

  • Linksys WRT110 problems - Firmware and the blocking of Web sites

First problem is that my Linksys WRT110 blocking some Web sites. I tried to get 1up.com and it times out. When I plugged my modem without the router I could access the site without problem. I checked www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com and it's on my end... I found a few solutions workaround, which eventually do not, such as:

After you download the firmware, extract the files if its zipped.

    Connect to http://192.168.1.1 router.

Leave the user name and password admin

Click administration and then search for the file (.bin)

Wait for the upgrade, then reset and reconfigure the router.

  • WRT110-problem accessing the Web-based Setup Page

I can't access the configuration page based on web for the WRT110 router I have. I am able to make a connection on two computers without the router, but when I add them I get an error message in my browser.

I tried to access the configuration page based on the web both of my computers and some information were followed by Ecritel.net, but I'm having no luck. I receive the following error message "missed connection: connection to the server was reset while the page is loading." The network link was interrupted for negotiating a connection. Please try again. »

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Actually, I get a different error message now. I made a few adjustments to things like the start menu, which is a problem before. Here is the new error message I received:

Network timeout Server 192.168.1.1 takes too long to respond. The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a response

Are you unable to navigate to other sites? Check the computer's network connection.

Is your computer or a network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with browsing the web.

  • Connection WRT110 problems

I recently received broadband internet and acquired the WRT110 for the wireless. They both work, I can connect directly from my computer to my cable modem, but the problem is that they do not work together. When I plug my modem on the router to the computer, I can see my router on a network map and change its options and others, but I can't access the internet. It seems that my modem is not 'the internet', sending fault of better term to my router.

If I missed something really easy, or I'm stupid, I'm sorry lol

  • WRT110 problems of Internet

I can connect to the network very well. I called tech support and they suggested to change the default IP address to 192.168.2.1, then after I pedaled power the router settings remained but I can't get internet now. I could at the time, after the tech support told me to change it to 2. I tried to change it 192.168.3.1 but no results. The router has the internet icon lit up. The Adviser also said that it is connected to the internet. Is someone can you please help me understand this!

    (1) you have a modem with your system?  (some systems do not have a visible modem)  Most of the users have a modem, which is a small box about the size of the WRT110 (or maybe a little smaller).  The modem has lights on it.   The modem was generally a "DSL" (which comes from the phone company) or 'cable' (which comes from the cable company.  If connections usually look like this:

Taken wall DSL or cable connection - computer modem - WRT110.

    (2) is this appearance of your system?   If so, look at the modem.  It should be brand and model on it somewhere, usually on the bottom or the rear of the unit.  Please post this info.

    (3) also, when I look at the second post ipconfig, it still seems that you connect your computer to the WRT110.  Please connect the computer directly to the modem and redone the ipconfig test and view the results.

  • Problem with the connection of two computers with windows7 to internet at the same time with wrt110

Me and my friend have two windows7 installed on our computers.

If one connects to the internet via a WRT110 wireless router it goes without any problems.

But if we both try to connect to the internet at the same time, it does not connect.

    Can anyone help?

You can try the upgrade/flashing the firmware on the router... Download the firmware from www.linksys.com/downloads and save it on the desktop... Opening of session in the Linksys GUI and click on the Administration tab... Click on the "firmware upgrade" sub-tab and choose the correct .bin file... click on upgrade... Wait a few seconds until it shows that "the update is successful," after the upgrade of the firmware, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned to the same page OR it will say 'cannot display the Page.

Now, hold down the button to reset for 30 seconds... Release the reset button... Unplug the power cable from your router, wait 30 seconds and reconnect the power cable... Now re - configure your router...

  • WRT110 installation problem

Hello. First of all, let me say that if it took a lot, then I'm sorry to take your time and space, but I searched through the first pages of discussions on the WRT110 and have not seen an answer to my problem.

The background. I decided to upgrade my old G router to a newer and hopefully more fast n router.  I bought the router renovated online and ran the configuration with my computer Windows XP.  In the end, everything seemed fine that the computer says that it is connected wireless when the ethernet is connected to the router through the connection internal (internet is fine when the computer is connected to the modem). .  When I tried to go online, however, it does not load the same Web pages if it claims to be connected to the internet.  I looked at other stuff installation and found the a site that would be the load when it is connected to the router (site The192.168.1.1) but frankly I'm not very good with computers and could not understand what I had to do to correct the problem. Also, I tried to restart the computer and the router, but that does not solve the problem, and is not re - run the initial configuration by using WEP security instead of the default security.  Does anyone have a solution? I've been looking and trying to make it work for a few hours without success. Thanks in advance, and if you need more information do not hesitate to ask (if all goes well I can find it for you).

If you try to configure you the router using the Setup disk, you can exit the setup mode and manually configure all the settings above...

  • WRT110 - strange problem

Well, I hope he has some ideas out there. I have a strange situation with a friend.

    2 laptops-

    Toshiba - Win 7 x 64 - Home Edition - IP 192.168.1.104

    PowerBook G4 MAC OS 10.4.11 - IP address 192.168.1.101

    Router WRT110

If the Toshiba is on, it will connect to the internet and can access the 192.168.1.1 admin page. If you turn on the Mac, then no one can access the internet or even the page of the router.

If I disable the Toshiba and turn on the Mac - the Mac access the internet without any problem.

Basically it's just leave 1 computer access the router at a time.

Off Toshiba Mac is correct. Disable Mac and turn on the Toshiba and Toshiba can access perfectly.

Turn the two on and nobody can access. No computer can reach 192.168.1.1 or ping to the net.

What am I missing that is preventing these computers work together?

I even checked the mac address on the NETWORK cards were not the same. The IP address is different on both.

I'm puzzled. Someone at - it ideas?

On the Win 7 computer, disable IPv6 in LAN properties for all cards (wired and wireless), disable UPnP in router.  Restart and try again.

  • connection problems with router wrt110

I use linksys router wrt110 to connect to internet. I use a latitude e6400 laptop running windows 7 pro. When I start the computer, sometimes it will connect to the home network, and sometimes it will connect to the public unidentified network. When it connects to the unidentified network, it will be about 5 to 10 minutes to connect to the internet.

I'm trying to figure out how to do it connect to home network all the time.

    any help would be appreciated

Yes, these settings are also necessary for the WRT110.

  • Several problems with the router WRT110

First of all, the router disconnects randomly. As in, the router stopped broadcasting and will not be displayed on the list of the available when it arrives. When this happens, no wireless device cannot connect until the network resets.

Second, whenever a wireless COMPUTER connects to the network, all network connections are lost for 5 to 10 minutes. However, this does not work when I connect other wireless devices to the network, such as my XBOX 360 console.

Why does this happen? I'm tired of the random disconnection!

Make sure that all Vista and Win 7 computers have IPv6 disabled under the properties of the LAN parameters for each card.

WRT110 should have firmware version 1.0.04)is ou.05.  Disable UPnP in router.  Settings wireless Beacon Interval 75, threshold RTS and Fragmentation 2304, channel 1, 6 or 11.

  • Problem with access to the camera on the net via dsl modem and linksys router

OK, I read all posts here on what to do in this case and think I have tried everything. I have an Actiontec dsl (verizon) and a v2 wrt110 router. I can see the camera locally, but not on the net. I had it hooked to another place but with cable service broadband with no problems.

I think that the problem of my lie with ip addresses.

    Camera 192.168.0.115

    Router 192.168.0.1

    Modem 192.168.1.1

The port forwards on the modem MUST be set to port forward to the IP Address of the Linksys router. It should be only the modem IP can see, so it's the only place you can move forward from the modem. What exactly is in this drop-down list in the config of the modem port forwarding?

The problem is that there are two distinct here networks once you are inside your modem. There is a network between the modem and the router. Allthat is on it is the modem's ethernet interface and the port of the Internet router (or WAN). There is another network on the side the router as your PC's LAN, camera, etc. are on. All know the modem is how to get to the network to which it is directly connected to. While you could add a route staic on the modem to tell him how to get to this network, the modem must still know I have oprt route traffic to your camera to the router.

  • WRT110 suddenly stopped working

A few days ago I noticed that my wireless internet on my iPhone would cut in and out, and then stopped all together. I also had no connection on my mac which is connected to the WRT110. I bypassed the WRT110 and then I got a connection on my Mac which means the WRT110 is the problem. I have not changed or added lately everything that might have caused this... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Who is your ISP? What modem do you use? You have to work on computers? Or each of them does not?

  • WRT110 and VoIP quality

I have Vonage Linksys (PAP2) adapter attached to a WRT110 RangePlus Wireless Router. Firmware on the router upgraded to 1.0.05 build 3.  Incoming voice quality is clean and clear.  Outgoing voice quality is jerky. Nothing other than on the local network VoIP.  Tested late package with and without the router online.  Without router, round-trip delay (100 pings to Vonage external server on the Internet) on average less 90ms.  With WRT110 online, around tripping delay 200 ms on average.   The > 200ms delay is after you disable the SPI firewall and QoS and setting DMZ destination with the MAC address of the adapter Linksys of Vonage.

I also tried the AT & T_Cisco MicroCell connected to router Linksys WRT110 RangePlus.  Same router, same problem.  Quality of VoIP CMF (phone Moble to MicroCell of Linksys WRT110) outgoing is choppy.

    Any suggestions?

Try reducing the MTU value to 1300 on the configuration page of the router and the router power cycle... Now, check.

  • With the firmware.05 router WRT110

OK, here's my problem and I searched the forum and I see that others have the same problem with the firmware.05.  before we begin, I want everyone to know that I don't know how to set up my network and I am a professional network.

My problem is on my xbox 360 with the Wireless N adapter.  I use to have the firmware.02 installed on my router and sometimes while on my xbox, I'd get a message telling me that the xbox live connection has been lost. I would then have to resign in xbox live and it would start working again, so I thought that the router might need a firmware flash, after searching the site of linksys, I could find the firmware.05.  I installed it and the installation went well, after that I installed it I reset my router by pressing the button on the back of it. I then reset all my IP addresses and port forwarding and the WPA key. Then, I put the router in mixed mode because I still G wireless devices to connect to my network like my android phones and my laptop, so that all the devices are now connected very well.  I then go to my xbox and put everything up, static IP address, manual settings for DNS. and guess what it does not allow me to connect to xbox live. I then start to do some research and find out that I'm not the only one with this problem. so I find a few posts on here say to change the MTU to manual and put in a number, I don't remember the number but I did exactly that.  then I tried to connect again and guess what xbox live still does not connect. so I do some research to see if I have the correct ports passed to my xbox and guess what I got all the correct ports forwarded. so I do some research more and found a post by someone who said that they changed the router Wireless N mode only and they said it worked for them, so I try and guess what it works very well. I even put the MTU back to automotive and it still works, I also tested with the xbox set to auto automatic DNS and IP address and it still works. but then as soon as I switch the router in mixed mode, it will not connect. It's definitely a problem with the firmware.05, so please if someone at - he found a fix for this issue allow the router to run in mixed mode and still have the xbox connect please let me know what it is. and please don't try to tell me to change my DNS in the xbox 4.2.2.2 and 192.168.1.1.  and please don't try to tell me to set the ip address of my xbox to 192.168.1.20 because my i put my IP from 192.168.2.1. I need a fix that works, or tell me how to return to the firmware.02

to anyone who is having these problems with this router wrt110 with the firmware.05 I flashed my router for the firmware.02 and everything works again, I can run in mixed mode and my xbox connects, and all my computers and phones connect. If someone wants the firmware.02 you can d/l here.this will probably get removed by the mods here but here goes
