WRT150N connects using 54 Mbps. Why not more?
I have a Fujitsu laptop that suppostingly supports N band. So why don't the router ignore? The band parameters are Mixed due presense of devices G value.
Open the router page using 192.168.1.1, then put in the
password as admin... all you need to do is make these wireless settings
as the band of Radio frequency to high frequency of 40 MHZ, channel to
11.
In addition, advanced wireless beacon interval = 50, Frag
= 2306 Ahmed & Ahmed Rts = 2307 & then uncheck an anonymous block
Internet applications & it will certainly work.

I do not use sync and am not connected? Why my favorites are synchronization?
My desktop computer has a series of bookmarks that I use at work. My home PC has another, different set of bookmarks that I use at home. I do not use sync and am not connected to sync on each PC. Why my favorites are the synchronization between two PCs? For example, I noticed several bookmarks near the top of my bookmark menu over a line of separation that I do not have to work. I deleted them. I come home and find those missing same bookmarks from my PC at home. I do not want to synchronize anything between the two computers, why what is happening?
Maybe an add-on is the sync these for you.

Why can't connect using Apple Airport WIFI of my remote security cameras but can connect using the Xfinity WIFI Modem/Router open?
Two possibilities:
(1) your airport WiFi might have a network name that is not in line with best practices, wireless
A good wireless network name is...
... In short no more than 20 characters
Simple... no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, asterisk, etc.
Compact, without spaces in the name
For example, a wireless network network name as... red .dfedoryk Apple wireless network... .is not what you want. Something like... .dfedorykwireless. .. masse are much more likely to connect to non-Apple devices.
Same guidelines your password
(2) Apple gives the same name to network 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network that produces double router band. Some non-Apple devices are confused by the present, you may need to use the option to assign a different name for the network of 5 GHz on the router from Apple. Then, 'point' your device to the network name specific to which you want to connect.

Portege R500 could not establish a connection using Novatel Mobilink
I am unable to make a connection using the software of Novatel Mobilink on my new R500.
I installed * XP * and installed the relevant downloads on the Toshiba site, i.e.
Power RF 3 G v 1.0.1.8 control utility
MobiLink 2.0.2.1.8 v
Wireless Broadband Mobile v 3.0.0.3My SIM is detected OK. I created my profile and checked that my APN, username and password are correct. When I try to connect I get the Mobilink network connection manager * error 619 * saying that perhaps my profile settings are not correct.
However, if I create a connection by modem with exactly the same settings that the connection works fine.
The only difference is that I use windows dial up to start the connection rather than Mobilink.Put Vista on the laptop the Mobilink connection works fine as well, it seems that if you want to do with XP, so I think that there could be another driver or patch required.
Anyone had similar problems using Mobilink to initiate the connection?
Any ideas would be welcome?
Hello
I m not an expert in Mobilink network connection, but I goggled a bit and discovered that if this error 619 message you should do this:
S ' ensure that the data card is inserted into the laptop.
-Go to compose (i.e. start-> Control Panel-> network connections) network connections and delete the profile called 3 G connection.
-Try and launch a data call via Mobilink software. It should work now and the 3G connection profile visible once more.The following are the possible causes of an error 619 _Other: _
-Name (APN) access point is not correct (i.e. incorrect characters for example)
- or not entered at all.
-Wrong username and/or password used.
-The used SIM card is not associated with the required AFNGood luck

W510 Win7 X 64 - Intel 82577LM does not connect to 1000 Mbps
I just got my W510 - but I'm a little annoyed. Intel 82577LM gigabit network will not connect at gigabit speeds. It only connects at 100 Mbps. I don't have this problem with any other computer/laptop.
I used the provided Lenovo drivers and the latest drivers Intel 15.x - both same result.
Anyone with working on W510 1000Mbps?
Check the Ethernet cable. For 1000 Mbps, you need 8-wire in an Ethernet cable. If you have a bad connection or a 4-wire cable, you will get 100 Mbps.
I hope this helps!

Hello
I am very satisfied with my purchase Alienware Aurora ALX and happy to be part of this community. However, I have this problem:
Does not connect to 1 Gbps Ethernet adapter; Here's what I've tried so far:
(1) confirmed that my router is able to support Gigabit Ethernet. I have two other devices connected to the same speed (an old PC and NAS).
(2) when I set the speed and duplex of the adapter auto negotiate, it will connect to 10 Mbps
(3) I noticed that there is no setting for 1000 Mbps in speed and duplex options.
(4) I tried 100 full duplex MB, it will connect, but my Internet connection slows down less than 1 Mbps (I'm on a 15Mbps connection and test the other PC it could reach around 14Mbps).
(5) I then tried 100 MB half duplex, it will also link and my overall network performance is good.
(6) I have confirmed that I have the current driver from Dell. I've had the computer for 3 days (using windows 7 by the way).
(7) I tried all ports on my router and confirmed that the side of the router has also been on auto negotiate and not trying to force a specific speed.
I hope someone has a solution or suggestion for this problem.
Kind regards
Jason
* SOLUTION * thanks in part to the previous article.
Here is the Giga speed solution that worked for my new Dell Studio 1458. I've read a lot about speeds slow xfer using the Broadcom NetLink LAN connection.
There were two things I did not initially, but were in fact true.
(1) you must use a CAT 6 line on ALL your machines capable of gigabit. I though that a good line of Cat5e support giga speeds. This isn't.
Card Dell NetLink is apparently, some initial negotiations with your router (a bit ' as a fax machine), then after seeing all of your connections.
It will drop the xfer rate down to the lowest common component (i.e. the Cat5e cable). And;
(2) map of NetLink won't give you giga speeds in automatic selection (advanced ethernet properties, speed & duplex). The speed and the duplex window will never
view 1000 MB! You can check if your is10/100/1000 connection by double clicking on the icon of your connection to the Local network.
I checked the speed of my connection giga via a test utility and transferring a 200meg file. The results indicate an increase in the speed of 12 MB/s to 26 MB/s.
These figures do not show a factor of ten speeds increase, we'd all have (so much), but they are in line with transfer rates of others.
I hope this helps!

Connect to the database with SQL * more: is TNSNAMES. ORA used?
Hello
We have a local database called DEV01 and a copy of this database in a data center. To be able to connect to both databases, the TNSNAMES file. ORA
on the local database server (not the one in the data center) has the following entries:
/ * Entry for the local database * /.
DEV01_local, DEV01_local. WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server01) (PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SID = DEV01)
)
)/ * Entry for the database in the data center * /.
DEV01, DEV01. WORLD =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = server02) (PORT = 1521))
)
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SID = DEV01)
)
)When I connect to the local database server, I set the Oracle environment as follows:
export ORACLE_SID = DEV01
export PATH=/opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin:$PATH
export ORACLE_HOME=/opt/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0
Now I start SQL * more as follows:
Oracle # > sqlplus user/user
SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;
INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME
---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------
SERVER01 DEV01
As the SID is on two databases of the same (DEV01) I really don't understand how Oracle decides which of the SQL databases * more connects to.
Is it the entry in the TNSNAMES file. ORA?
But when I start SQL * more as follows:
Oracle # > sqlplus user/user@DEV01_local
SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;
INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME
---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------
SERVER01 DEV01
or
Oracle # > sqlplus user/user@DEV01
SQL > select instance_name, host_name from v$ instance;
INSTANCE_NAME HOST_NAME
---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------
DEV01 server02
everything is as expected.
Does anyone know who is the chosen database when just to connect with 'sqlplus user/user' (without the @DEV01 or @DEV01_local)?
Any help will be appreciated!
Rgds
Jan
When you connect to the local database that is connected to the server01, you need only specify the sid in the environment, in this case, Oracle tnsnames file to connect, actually uses, it uses any of the listener. It uses what is called a connection needed. It is purely a side connection server, and as long as the sid is located in the environment resolves to a database running on that server, you will be get connected.
When you connect using the @connect_descriptor, like you second case, then Oracle will use the configured naming, including tnsnames, methods to solve the 'real' database In this case, the auditor is required to create the connection to the database.
