WRT400N and HP Media Server

I just replaced my old Linksys with the 400N. No problem connecting to my desk and access to a network printer, then HP Media Server file sharing. However, while I can get my HP laptop wireless connected to the network and to the internet, can I do to access the file share on the media server. I can, however, use iexplorer to access the media server admin screens. The 400N blocks a few try network traffic?

THX

Most likely, it is a problem of computer software firewall.  When you replaced your router, your firewall software computer noticed "joins a new network" and so automatically itself for any another computer on the network is "trust".  Signals emitted by other computers are so blocked by software firewall computer.

To resolve this issue, go to the computer on each computer software firewall and set it to "trust", other computers on your network.
If your firewall or PC security program maintains a list of approved applications (also known as a "zone of confidence"), so make sure that your router is in the zone of confidence to your firewall...

    Hello

First I would recommend you to check the records of media supported player.
This is mentioned in the manual on page 67/68
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/TL838-324046-English.PDF

There, you will find all the details on the format of media supported, video codec and audio codec USB and DMS (digital media server is a device that can function as server for a player) reading.

The basic operation is also described in the 40-43 user manual page.

  • WRT610N and twonky media server PROBLEM

Hi, I finally had some time to install my network wireless at home, everything works well except the media server, im trying to connect an xbox 360 and ps3, they see in the media server and I can access the problem is that the only file that they see is "trial expired, please visit http://twonkyvision.com.

I already tried to go and found a topic on it (link ) and it helped me to access the media server settings, I tried the solution posted, but it didn't work; I looked in the options and found that over my registration key number is bright red the following words: "this key is already used by another instance of the server." and here it is a counter with 0 days for the trial.

Anyone know how I could solve this problem or what it exactly means and how to solve this problem, my router is new, but it has been sitting on my desk almost three months because I don't have the time to install it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

OK, I have a major update and a possible solution, I was buggin the twonky people until they gave a new key number who worked and solved my problem, on the other hand, they have told me that, with the next firmware, updated the router doesn't ask for the key more could operate freely, so you can either go to the twonky´s customer service or wait for the next update. good luck to all

  • WebService and Flash Media Server

    Hi all

We have the following task to do... in our Organization, we have an application that generates xml messages. We want to send these messages to Flash clients connected to an FMS server. In order to do that we want to create a service Web (ASP.NET) on the FMS server and allows the application to send xml messages to this webservice. Once a message is received by the Web service we want to address an application FMS where it would be analyzed and based on the content of the message that we want to call methods (on rtmp) on the connected clients.

We have no information on FMS, but we thought that it would be not so hard to understand. By the looks of it, it seems almost trivial if you had to do it in Java or .net. Apparently not so in the world of the FMS. The big question we have is: how to feed the xml message received by the Web service to a FMS application... or (Alternatively) how notify us an application of FMS that a new message is received by the Web service. The Google or the manual contain no examples of this kind of scenario. Which makes ask us, "we are on the right track? What is the best way to do it? ».

Any suggestions, solutions and wisdom are welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

    Erik

Looks like you want to put the messages in XML via FMS customers Flash in your backend. The way to do that is to create an XMLSocket in your FMS server script and connect you to your main server (your server needs an earphone socket to accept the connection socket that you will use to send the XML messages). Once the socket connection, your server can send XML messages to your FMS XMLSocket and your FMS server script must implement the method onXML on the XMLSocket object to analyze the past in the XML document object. You can then send the message to the Flash client using Client.call. The methodName in Client.call parameter must be a function that is implemented on the customer Flash NetConnection object.
I don't know if your need is to send a message to a particular customer of Flash or the whole. If the latter you can iterate over the Bay of application.clients (script server-side) to send the message to all clients Flash. If your main server message is intended for a particular customer, you have a way to correlate the message to the right instance of FMS customer. However, it seems that messages will go to all Flash clients so I will not expand.

  • NMH305 cannot start Media Server

I just bought a NMH305 and have updated the firmware to 3.18.4. I implemented such that provided and all right and the Media Server worked and could be detected by the media players on my local network. I then added a second 500gig SATA drive and it was quickly recognized. I put the linear Raid 2 configuration (for a total of 930gigs). I was able to move files on the disk configuration and everything seems OK.

However I'm unable to activate the Configuration Server / media to on. When I click on activate the media server small pop - up appears, but the options to "Find media shared on my network" is grayed out. If I then click 'Submit' nothing happens for a few moments and then upcomes another popup saying ' Media Server is disabled. GoTo settings/Services to enable your media server... "

I can enable and disable the itunes, ftp and other options in the page configuration, one Server - the only Media that interests me really wont one more.

Can anyone offer any help?  Thank you very much

Thank you, Wilins377, that did the trick. The machine has reset itself to factory firmware, and my files are all intact. I can now update the sile system and the media server is running. The system is asking me to upgrade the firmware later, but since everything seems OK, I'm inclined to leave well alone.

    Thanks again.

  • Native integration WebRTC audio/video on all AIRLINES, including Adobe Media Server platforms

    Hey everybody,

It is obvious that Adobe is very busy trying to deal to improve and fix audio and video bugs on all platforms. Fortunately, the month last Adobe finally made a video H264 with Nellymoser audio stream work on androids! That took some time to make this work. But even if it works, no AIR on androids can still transmit a H264 video. Also AIR on iOS cannot view the videos on-line, but rather the video must be wrapped inside an Apple HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) format that introduced way too much latency for live audio and video streaming. Also AIR cannot transmit Audio AAC and cancellation of echo with Nellymoser just doesn't cut.

Everyone knows that Flash Player can only the video/audio stream smoothly for users 1 to 10. There is just too much for Adobe to do to get the video to work and work for everyone on all devices.

So because WebRTC has much more development effort going in there, and because it is presented as a free source to try to make the world exclusive licenses to rethink H264 / AAC audio, Adobe should maybe just focus their efforts on the implementation of the WebRTC libraries existing and especially functional in Adobe AIR.

Because these libraries are becoming so popular, Adobe may also integrate support for WebRTC the Adobe Media Server for recording, peer-to-peer negotiation and firewall perforation.

See here my native integration feature request WebRTC video/audio on all platforms

    https://BugBase.Adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug & ID = 3728399

If you vote with me for WebRTC in Adobe AIR and Adobe Media Server?

Adobe could essentially disapproves of many existing features requests and bug fixes related to video audio and solve many problems with WebRTC as:

    Implement the Opus Codec:

Add support for transmitting video H264 since an Android:

A decrease in video latency and performance on the Androids independently processors from Intel ARM 32-bit/64-bit

    https://BugBase.Adobe.com/index.cfm?event=selectBug & CFGRIDKEY = 3648268

Improve the video quality and bandwidth:

    HEVC H265, VP9

No there no updated day nor comment from Adobe regarding adding support for WebRTC. According to the roadmap for this year, they are reserved! It seems that we will not see WebRTC in the ActionScript platform this year unfortunately. In March, I made some predictions as to what might be considered a higher priority to Adobe to work on. It seems that this list is still being developed by the team of Adobe AIR/Flash. They have not yet finished iOS support 8, and they have several more months to get finished video hardware acceleration. VideoTexture is still in beta and will likely be in version beta version 19 very air I guess. Then AIR 64-bit runtime ends Q3 as well as improvements of HTML5 for the 4th quarter. It seems that Adobe is fully booked.

  • Flash Media Server 3 - Can RTMP and HTTP tunneling be set up?

I have read a few forums posted here and also searched the Web widely but can not find a clear answer or get HTTP tunneling to work with Flash Media Server 3.

Q1: Flash Media Server 3 can be configured for the Protocol RTMP and HTTP tunneling to work? The reason why I need to know if this will work is due to more and more customers report that the videos do not play for them, and I have concluded that these customers are sitting behind a firewall that has blocked port 1935. So I would like to set up the FLV playback control to try to spread the file on RTMP and if this does not work, use the HTTP protocol.

Assuming that your FMS is configured to bind to port 80, and there is nothing else on the binding of FMs machine to port 80 on the same IP address, your FMS should be ready to accept applications for tunnel using rtmpt on port 80 Protocol.

Where you go wrong, this is how you make the connection in your client-side code. You don't want to connect several statements that you are... you want to do one, and then let the flashplayer running in its default login process, or set up a timer to manage failures of Protocol in your own code.

When you call NetConnection.connect() without specifying a port (or an other rtmp Protocol) in the url, the flashplayer first attempts a connection rtmp on port 1935. If this fails, the flashplayer will automatically attempt a connection by tunnel via port 80. The status event will not be distributed until the Flashplayer Gets a successful login, or fails on all combinations of port/protocol. So, you just make a call to the connect() function.

If you prefer to try combinations of port/protocol specific and define your own time-out, you can set the port/protocol in the url

    NC. Connect ("rtmp://myserver.com:1935/app/instance"); ")

    or

    NC. Connect ("rtmpt://myserver.com:80/app/instance"); ")

When you set the port/protocol, the flashplayer will attempt to establish the connection on this port/protocol only and the status event based on this single attempt to shipping.

So, if you don't want to rely on the flashplayer to treat this, you would first try rtmp/1935. In your State Manager, you inspect the event info.code property. If you don't get a successful connection, then try rtmpt/80

If I select file1 and press OK to read it, the TV starts playing FILE4 (because I have 3 folders selection real past by 3).

In the same way, if I select FILE4 and press OK to play the TV starts playing FILE7 and so on.

  • Cannot get rid of the Logitech Media Server app

Hi, I installed Logitech Media Server on my rn104, but I don't need. I tried to remove it from the web INTERFACE, but it is still visible to the computers on my network and always accessible on port 9000. When I reboot the NAS, he reappears in pre-installed applications. Any ideas how I can kill this annoying thing?

    I sent you a PM.

  • Upgrade Media Server Logitech

My ReadyNAS 516 runs 6.4.1 - T21 (beta version). The Logitech Media Server App that I do turn has version 1.06 and is maintained by chick I think. The interface Logitech Media Server tells me that there is an update.

And that's probably true. 7.7.3-based version 1.06 chick version of Logitech. I can download the 7.7.5 version for Debian, but I don't think it's a wise thing to do. Not sure if it will install anyway.

What is the way to go on this? Just wait for chick?

This package is maintained at all?

In a similar case, I wanted to update the Plex server software that I could just download the site of Plex.

Logitech has stopped support for the 'new' line of ReadyNASses and which is the reason that chick was for renovation/rebuild the software?

Okay, found _some_ answers to my own questions on here.

I installed packages from the command line using 'dpkg-i'.

First, I ran into a problem with leafp2p package, but the addition of article initV of the start-stop as mentioned here does the trick for this.

When you try to install lms_1.0.8_all.deb I received warnings that /lib/ld-linux.so.2 was about to be crushed (!)

Somehow chick put this file in the LMS package, although it is also in the libc6-i386 package. Maybe I don't have knowledge, but put me these types of files in your own package is not very wise.

    I did this:

    root@truck/root # he's /lib/ld-linux.so.2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Feb 6 2015 /lib/ld-linux.so.2--> /lib32/ld-linux.so.2*
    root@truck/root # he's /lib32/ld-linux.so.2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Feb 6 /lib32/ld-linux.so.2 2015-> ld - 2.19.so *.
    root@truck/root # he's /lib32/ld-2.19.so
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 134308 Feb 6 /lib32/ld-2.19.so* 2015

and /lib32/ld-2.19.so copied to a safe place, just in case where symbolic links were followed by dpkg. (I'm not too familiar with Debian)

Installed lms_1.0.8_all.deb with 'dpkg--force - overwrite - i' and restore the original situation afterwards (symbolic links were not followed)

    root@truck/root # cd/lib
    root@truck/lib # mv ld - linux.so.2 ld - linux_lms_1.0.8.so.2
    root@truck/lib # ln s /lib32/ld-linux.so.2 ld - linux.so.2
    root@truck/lib #.

The Logitech Media Server was showing again after these actions. Telling me the version was 1.0.8 on the ReadyNAS interface. Telling me it is 7.8.1 on the Logitech Media Server interface on port 9000.

Anyone know if the plex media server can be installed on the px series?

    Hi ADSAB,.

There is no official way to download the Plex Media Server on our devices. Although it is possible, it is not supported by Lenovo/Iomega and change the device may void the warranty if problems occur. Hello.

I have configured the media server on my WNDR 4300 and I checked that the connected USB drive is "authorized" (extendent USB setting). However, customers DLNA cannot connect to the system and it is not visible in the network.

I tried iPhone MoliPlayer, Windows 7 with VLC player, Windows 7 with media player, LG TV and receiver Yamaha. Windows 7 server is directly attached to the device WNDR.

    \\Readyshare works correctly.

I had stopped access control and restarted - no difference (always not visible).

I checked that all the devices are allowed to connect to the network (new authorized devices).

I rebooted several times WNDR without alteration.

I have no idea what setting could be the problem / reason for this behavior.
