wuauserv processes operating at 50% overload drive - Windows 7

I had this problem from the 4/12 this year, but was able to work through it. Once more, today (5/10) I started having the same problem again. wuauserv works 50% and Windows refuses to update. When I manually search for updates, it goes on the search for ever. When I run Windows Update Troubleshooter, it tells me there is a problem of update. When I run Windows Update Readiness Tool, it gets stuck in the "system initialization" (when I try to cancel, it freezes and I have to close by the Task Manager). The question is of course with Windows 7 update, and Microsoft doesn't seem to be aware or do not active measures to fix it. I have disabled Windows Update because the wuauserv service causes my CPU to run at 100% and overheating.

I've tried everything. I'm on the latest version of Windows, the latest version of the Windows Update client. Please Microsoft, recognize this problem and resolve updates in Windows 7.

I read on another thread that installation manual helped KB3153199.

I ran and now wuauserv seems to have calmed down. Told to restart my computer to "finish installing important updates". Crossing my fingers that this is the solution... For the time being.
