• Good Apps?

  Can anyone suggest good apps that are made for the Xoom? It's hard to find on the market because there is no section for tablet apps unlike the American version. Its getting annoying having to type in the 'honeycomb', 'xoom', 'Tablet', etc. to find a wallpaper honeycomb for the android phones and other useless stuff.

  I want to find some optimized for tablet apps for entertainment, documents, radio, television, and games. So far its proven a challenge.

• Slightly OT - access my apps purchased on the new phone

  Please bear with me; I am an older woman trying to wrap my brain around some of the latest technologies. I'm quick to learn, but need a little coaching. I believe someone here can probably help me navigate my last challenge... and for this, I would highly appreciate your help.

  I bought my Wifi Xoom around a month ago. My Android Market account is linked to my Google main/account name which is my AOL email address. I bought several apps and load them without any problem to my Xoom.

  This is where the problem becomes a bit sticky...

  I recently bought a LG Optimus V phone that is under 2.2. In order to access the Android Market from my phone app and load some of my apps already purchased for my phone, it asks me to associate my phone with a Google account. However, when you try to enter my primary Google account name on my phone (which is again, my AOL email address), it tells me that [email protected] does not use Gmail. Nevertheless, it is my main Google account name.

  While I don't have a separate Google email account, it is not directly related to this account, so I can't use it to access my account Android Market. Rather, I don't like the idea of having to set up my account Android Market on my phone connected to my secondary Gmail account, that means having to pay for my purchased apps again a second time.

  Does anyone have advice? I, ahem, google for an adequate response, but until now, no matter who else in my similar situation received no answer to their question. Bueller, Bueller? Anyone? Anyone? (Well, I show my age here... better stop now.)

  In fact, I don't think that's quite right about the gmail account. On my 3 G Xoom now, I only have two different POP3 e-mail accounts (which are really Google accounts) synchronized with the settings. For the Google market, it took only a Google account, which is be my email address of account POP3 (similar to the OP here). Under the parameters of the market, he current shows my two POP3 email addresses which are Google accounts.

  I know that my Google accounts don't include Gmail because I recently bought the Wyse PocketCloud app that requires a validated gmail address to connect. It would not validate using my Google accounts, so I had to set up my first gmail account (with a unique email address) that I added to one of my Google accounts.

  I suggest you logging into your Google account and pull up your personal settings. you will find the e-mail addresses associated with your account (which IS related to your applications to market). If you don't have a gmail, address I would create one under this account (there are instructions to do so). Then use this address gmail on your phone and it should share your apps.

• Connect to virtual machines across multiple servers of connection for internal/external access

  Hello everyone

  My apologies if this is a silly question, but is it possible to have an individual virtual machine or pool accessible through multiple connection servers? Here is my setup and my scenario:

  Connection to server 1 - direct connect active, PCoIP, serving internal users.

  Connection to Server 2 - live disabled connect, RDP, coupled with a security server, serving external users.

  We seek to deploy Wyse PocketCloud on Wireless / 3G iPad so support for users outside the campus of the hospital can access their desktop.  Users will be expected to have office in the same condition as when they were on campus.  Our doctors are attracted to the iPad, then this will be a test for future deployment phase.

  VMS users are controlled by cs 1.  I would like that the possibility for users to directly connect to their virtual machines using PCoIP when they are internal and RDP via security server when they are external.  Is it possible without using a VPN or live with disabilities on cs connect 1?  I tried to add a virtual machine that has already been setup on cs 1 CS 2 but once cs 2 picks up I can connect is no longer the virtual machine through cs 1. Servers will also relay the reconfigure virtual computer every minute, so this is not the right way to do this.  Someone had customers or users who wanted to make something similar to this?  If so, how did you manage?

  View what version are you running?  In later versions, you can set directly relate to the level of the server.  So now you can simply deploy a replica of your main connection server that runs Live mode while having your other login server in indirect.   This way you can have a view environment and run your desired configuration.

• Touch screens - Wyse Zero Client 5010 for Citrix - XenDesktop

  I went through all the messages about touch screens, but still need a little more clarity. I would use a 5010 for Citrix Wyse with a touchscreen for a * application. This would be delivered via a Xendesktop not a published application. I am aware that, in several places ELO, Microtouch & Fastpoint are referred to as touch screens supported. Does this mean the 5010 must recognize the touchscreen before it happens even to the Xendesktop or he just connectable to the 5010 and all the drivers on the image of Xendesktop.

  I'm not trying to be difficult, but the answers online so close to me don't give a sense of closure on this issue. I do appreciate your time and help clarify this for me.

  To put it in other words, if the device is not recognized by the endpoint (thin client), it can not be re-directed.

  The customer needs to recognize all attached devices so that it is accessible by the client or thin to be made available to a remote host as a device of re-directed. Since WTS lite is a small operating system closed, he doesn't understand a number of pilots, and it is impossible to install additional drivers.

  Thanks for the post "How to add a cron" Sabrosa-2015, my problem is solved.

  The final solution was for me, under root:

  1 modify the /etc/init.d/jexec file by adding the line "#Required - Stop: $local_fs ' after the line beginning with"#Required_Start ".

  2. Add the S12bootclock link--> etc/init.d/boot.clock.

  3 - activate the service of cron by typing ' chkconfig cron on. "

  4 - disabling the ntp service by typing «chkconfig ntp» off

  5 - create a script called sntp_synchro in the directory/etc/cron_daily, containing the following line:

  / usr/bin/SNTP v Pei no servername - r >/var/log/sntp 2 > & 1

  6 - restart the Terminal.

  Please note that you may need to manually change the /etc/sysconfig.clock to set your time zone.

• Wyse Z90QQ7P thin client keep restarting

  Customer light Wyse Z90QQ7P shows "short-term memory available" error message and to restart.

  It retains this making each a few minutes after the restart.

  I tried to use USB to recreate the image, but after press P initially upwards. She did not see the USB boot option

  There are several reasons why you get out of memory error. The title of the error bar memory will tell you the culprit. If you run mΘmoire FBWF, you can take a look at all the programs installed. If you run RAMDisk memory, you can increase the RAMDisk. If you are short of memory system, you may need to add RAM to the thin client.

• Deploy the Wyse Image via PXE on WDS

  Hi I was wondering if there was an instruction manual / somewhere that explains the process of deploying an image of wyse by using a WDS PXE server? I was not able to find any useful material.

  For anyone interested, I found the solution. Thanks for the reply, but this isn't really the answer I was looking for. I know you guys have a statement to manage/Imaging Wyse with SCCM Clients, which is a windows product, so I was hoping you had a statement for their imagery strictly with WDS (Windows Deployment Services) via a PXE boot. Here's what I did:

  1 customize your wyse image, how you want.

  2. for the sysprep file, I decided to follow directions in the Wyse - guide SCCM Chapter 4, Phase 1, step 1 (you are free to try sysprep file of your own, I felt it was easier for the test links below)

  3. then, I created a USB bootable for Windows PE. For this I used a computer laptop Windows 7, WindowsAIK for Windows 7 and ImageX. Im not going to go through these steps, because there are many references on the web on how to do it.

  4. now that I had a bootable USB key, I went back to my Client light Wyse and captured the image by using ImageX. Once more, there are many examples on the web on how to do.

  5. my image newly captured a reason any had the boot.wim on it, I went to microsoft.com and download a trial WES7. Follow the instructions to retrieve / create an ISO. This iso Wes7 inside, you will find a file named boot.wim. Copy this file and the image of Wyse WIM of step 4 of your WDS server.

  6. you will need to add the network adapter driver in the boot.wim file, I have also added a keyboard driver (once again a google search will show you how to do this via the command prompt).

  7 Add the boot.wim and wyse.wim file to WDS. (If you want to apply an unattend.xml file, follow these steps now)

  8. start to PXE boot of your wyse client, when he mode WindowsPE and you get the part of disk partition, press SHIFT + F11 to bring up a command prompt and type the following (pressing ENTER after each line):

  DiskPart

  Select disk 0

  Clean

  Create Primary Partition

  Format quick fs = ntfs label = Windows

  Assign Letter = C

  assets

  output

  9. press F5 and it should show the newly partitioned drive, continue on as normal by selecting the image you want and start the installation.

  This will get your PXE boot and running. You can use an unattended.xml file to join the field of disk partitioning/customer automated, but I don't the have not yet created. Hope this helps someone else who has had this problem.

• Error scan on terminal WYSE with Xenapp 6.5

  We will evaluate the Remote Scan software in a Citrix Xenapp 6.5 with WYSE Z90DE7 Dell environment terminals

  The terminal has been installed with the SW server and Xenapps server has received the customer. Since the server in Irfan (paint program), I see the scanner but when I try to scan the terminal gives me an error saying it could not communicate with the scanner but local test I am able to scan.

  I have attached the log file, I could draw from the Terminal.

• How to perform updates on WYSE D90D7 of WDM 5.0 Windows security

  I have three thin clients WYSE D90D7 running Windows Embedded 7 Std that I am wanting to patch with the latest Windows security updates.  If I look at the installed security patches on machines, Isee later were starting in 2013.  How would I go about downloading that patches of the WYSE support page and download all the features of?  I know it will pass through WDM, but I can't find any information about it in the Administrator's Guide.  In addition, there are literally hundreds of patches... do I have to download ALL of them and download them all to each device?  Any information on this would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you.

  @Darkknight - they lock the images from the factory with local group policies to disable windows updates so that it is not in conflict with writefilter and constantly try to download and apply the same updates (reset at each reboot).  You can temporarily change this behavior in your Inbox if option #2.  The registry you are looking for is: HKLM\SW\Microsoft\policies\windows\windowsupdate\DisableWindowsUpdateAccess = 1 (the value to 0 to allow setting access to day of window and logoff / it come into force)

  Registry change, you should get access, you need to trigger the windows updates, but if it isn't you may also need to change the groupPolicy to ensure that windows is not reapply the change.

  Start > Run > gpedit.msc

  Computer config > administrative templates > windows components > windows update > configure automatic updates (set to enabled or not configured)

  Don't forget to do so while WF is turned off (for paste) and when updates are completed on this gold box change these options to the factory settings before the reactivation of WF.

  Firmware for CMO is not free and requires that you subscribe to the program of Software Maintenance for all your customers. This is true for a thin client currently in production. If your device is EOL (S10, R10L, etc.), then no other upgrade is available.
