• Help! My Windows 7 updated and deleted from my product key

  Last night my previously genuine Windows 7 update, this morning, it prompted me to enter my product key code.  Of course, I don't know where this piece of paper is gone.  I tried to go back to a previous one except point (and uninstallation of the update).  But always required the key code.  Help!  I'm not ready to move to Windows 10 again.

  When you upgrade, what will happen is that (your PC) hardware will get a digital right, a unique signature of the computer which is stored on the Microsoft Activation servers. Genuine Windows 7 Professional license will be exchanged with a key to the diagnosis.

  Whenever you need to reinstall Windows 10 on this machine, go just to reinstall Windows 10. It automatically reactivates.

  Give it a few days and it will activate automatically.

• Trying to update Win 7 HP for Windows 7 Pro - at any time to update does not accept my product key

  Bought two Win & Home Premium & W7 Pro to Sam W7HP is OEM, W7Pro upgrade (a cardboard hanger). Have installed W7HP and works well. Update at any time does not accept my Key Prd. Key to sting has 25 characters + -01 at the end. I can enter 25 characters (with auto-add dashes) but when I try to enter the - 01 it won't take. Present the key without the - 01 returns a valid product key error. Tried 3 times and checked my typing with each. Would appreciate any help.

  2. make sure that your computer is updated (devices and applications)

  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD

  Click on "Run as Administrator"

  At the command prompt, type: chkdsk /f /r

  When you restart your system, your computer will be scanned for errors and will try to correct them.

  1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.

  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.

  5. click on OK.

  6. When you are prompted, click on restart.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  Hi I have a Toshiba Satellite C850-1 kN and am upgrading to 8.1 windows I got to the screen asking for my product key to activate windows 8.1. I looked every ware on the laptop, the battery cavity on the brick power Ant (all the places the screen says to look) and can't find it I skiped this screen but I now get constant reminders to activate windows.

• Missing product key!

  Well, here's the situation, my computer won't start because of the windows\system32\config\system error. My original plan was to use a recovery disk to reinstall windows and keep all my data on the computer.

  However, I may need to type my product key that I have not reinstall. I know that you can access your product key with programs, but I can not even boot my computer and I can't spent SafeMode because of the error.

  In addition, there is no the product key on the sticker on my computer, just the model number and serial number.

  Then, anyway is to get my product key without having to start the computer.

  P.S. are all 25-digit product key? In addition, what is the difference between the number of product product key and serial number?

  Contact the manufacturer of your computer on the ways to solve this problem.

  If you want to reinstall Vista.

  1. ask thrm if you have a recovery Partition on the hard drive to take it back to the factory settings (new condition)

  You have to press F10, F11, etc. depending on the manufacturer; ask them to know the exact details.

  2. ask to send you recovery discs to do the same.

  They normally charge a small cost for this service.

  Using one of the above methods normally does not require a product key for input on your part, because these recovery methods use product key factory of the manufacturer of Installation, which is used on several machines to activate with your motherboard.

  If you contact Microsoft Customer Service and explain the missing product key, they will provide you with a replacement for the registration key.

  They must give you tghem a few details of your registry database, but they will be able to explain what they need both.

  There is no public list of preserved product keys.

  The only way to know if it has been used is to install the operating system to use it and see if it passes or not.

  How to request a new product key

  If you don't have the product key to your Windows operating system but still have the original disc, you can request a replacement of Microsoft product key for $10USD.

  You need to have a valid product key to install Windows. Your only alternative is to buy a new copy of Windows it will hurt at least try to get an inexpensive replacement of Microsoft.

  Follow the instructions below to request a new product key for Windows 7, Vista or XP Windows:

  Difficulty: Easy
  Time: Request a replacement of Microsoft product key will probably take you about 20 minutes.

  Here's how:

  1. Determine whether your copy of Windows is a copy retail or preinstalled copy:

     Retail: Your copy of Windows is a copy retail if you or someone else has bought Windows as a stand-alone software and then installed on your computer. Your copy of Windows can also be a copy retail if it came on your new computer and that your computer was delivered to a small manufacturer. Proceed to step #3.

     I could join a man after only three issues - not too bad, in my opinion.

  5. The Microsoft representative will take your contact information - name, phone number and address - email and then to ask for details about your problem.

     Tell the representative that you have your original CD/DVD Windows installation but need a replacement product key.

  6. Answer all questions asked of you. The representative of Microsoft can seek clarification on your installation disc of Windows, as the numbers around the inner circle of the CD/DVD and know what words or images that may or may not be on the disk.

     Microsoft asks these questions in order to verify that you have the installation disc is not hacked.

  7. Microsoft will take your credit card information after verifying that your installation media is genuine.

     This new Windows product key should cost you $10USD. Some readers even sent telling me that Microsoft doesn't have them pay nothing at all so they either change their policy or some people are just lucky!
