  Impossible to get this running on Windows 7...  Plans by going out with a suitable driver for it, or is there a workaround to get this printer work with Windows 7?  I did a fresh install of Win7, not an upgrade I had XP before then could not be upgraded...

  I'm wasting my time trying to get this printer doesn't work, or it's time to switch to a different provider?

  All the other drivers, I can use?

  If it's the Photosmart 1215 with 78 cartridges # and #45, then the driver Deskjet 990 would be a good match for printing.

• How to download a driver for Photosmart 7200 on Win 7

  I have a Photosmart 1115 old printer which works well.

  There is no Win 7 drivers for this printer, but a Photosmart 7200 driver works.

  How can I download a driver for the 7200?

  The wizard will not pick up because I do not have a connected 7200.

  The driver for Deskjet 970 is a good match for the Photosmart 1115.  You can add this driver or driver Photosmart 7200 via Windows Update as follows: click Start, devices and printers, add a printer to the local path (select LPT1: for now), then, and then click Windows Update in the lower right of the window to add printer.  It will take a few minutes for the Update window, after the Photosmart 7200 series won't be an election under the manufacturer HP (Hewlett-Packard).  Select this option.  Once you have finished the installation then go to change settings on the port, as described in this document.

  Follow the instructions below.

  1. open devices and printer

  2. click on add a printer

  3. click Add a local printer

  4. from the use existing port, select the USB option and then click Next

  5. click the button of Windows Update to get all the support window 7 drivers updated

  6. once the update is complete. Click HP from the menu on the left, then select the printer Deskjet 990c in the right menu, and then click Next.

  7. follow the remaining instructions to complete the installation.

  Once you have the printer added 990c make sure it is the default printer, and then try to print on your Photosmart C4680 printer using this driver. I would like to know if you have the same problem?

  I had a problem of analysis to one of my PC, so I deleted all driver HP software, downloaded the full version of the correct software driver for (windows 7 64 bit).

  The installation fails:

  Thank you for your response.  I solved the problem before I saw your suggestion so I telI you what I did and then close this issue.

  It seems that the problem resulted from an uninstall failed HP Photo Creations.   On the recommendation of another user of the forum, I downloaded Revo Uninstaller and run a tool called "junk file cleaning."  That did the trick I think because I then ran the driver full features intall (use Revo just in case) and it worked.

  I have a photosmart 7660 but no cd. I want to install it on my laptop HP using Windows XP. I managed to install on other computers, but when I download the driver on this laptop, it gets almost installation process and then I get an alert 'failed to install' and all files are then eliminated. I can't find any suggestions. Any help greatly appreciated

  While I would not recommend that as a solution, I am glad that you managed to find a workaround. Looks like it doesn't have a chance to throw some error was occurring by removing the battery and cutting power to the machine. If you have additional problems, please come back.

  I am trying to install our photosmart C6180 on our new Macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.

  The Mac can see the printer on the network and identifies it as "Photosmart 6100 series [91CF06]", but when I try to add I get a message that "the software for this printer is currently unavailable" and I there is only the possibility of using the generic drivers.

  I seem to have fixed this after going through some other posts here - as others, I installed the drivers from the Apple site:

  While apple suggests it works for OS X 10.9, it seems to work OK.
