XP Home Activation
The XP sticker is worn above the background of this laptop, so I checked the XP key with 3rd party software. I need to format this installation, now it won't accept the product key and install XP home SP3... What to do, I have an XP product key waste thumbnail image. I'm stuck, need advice. I tried to call Microsoft Activation Center, but this isn't any help...
A retail installation CD will not work with an OEM product key. You must obtain a generic OEM XP Home Edition installation CD, XP Home is the BONE on the COST of the laptop sticker subject. (SP3, preferably, but no matter what level of PC should work).
The alternative is to consult the documentation to see the method that Acer is recommended.

XP Home: activation problems and more
My house burned down and my church gave me a XP Home, had been purchased at the origin of one of the elders who had a computer repair company. The Church is used only for two years for the system/dvr security configuration.
I've been stumbling trying to figure out what to do and appreciate any information.
I found a different productid in the registry than the sticker. I tried both numbers to activate and nothing works.
Noel:
the machine would not copy - paste so made this screenshot.

(could not find how to tie in this forum. I'm sorry. get my legs of land around here.)The sticker COST PC says Windows XP Home Edition
number 25 begins with RJ.
However, checked with jellybean and xpquickkey... the two 25-number starts with DG.Has been thought, perhaps a reader of diff.hard the box came with? You are the pros.
There should be no need to reinstall just to erase a non-genuine notification - so that there aren't serious problems elsewhere.
Please download your newspaper the SFC CBS run - you will need to copy on the desktop first, then upload it to your SkyDrive favored public or other fileshare site and post the link to it in your response.

Hello
I had to replace my motherboard, after it has been damaged.
Windows starts normally, but as soon as I get the password to connect, I get a popup telling me that I need to activate windows before continuing.
I haven't had the chance to install drivers for the replacement card, so I can't activate via the net.
I find myself with the option to turn on the automated phone system, tell me there is a problem and I can not activate.
Nothing useful, I not have forwarded to an operator, nothing.
It's the first part of replacement, this machine had since new.
Please tell me that I don't have to pay for a new copy of windows.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If your installation of XP was preinstalled by the manufacturer then the key is locked to the original motherboard and cannot be moved to another, except in conditions of warranty.

BlackBerry passport can support the home from a keyboard shortcut button?
Hello
I wish I had a BB10 device with a button at home that I really have problems using the House with my index finger gesture, so I thought of the passport which has a nice screen size (not large enough classic for me). I saw this as a request for improvements on the Passport, but I thought I would check with Passport users to ensure that you could not currently do this (if you can I just came out a purchase it as a replacement for my Z30.) So is it possible to assign a key or keys to bring me to the structure of home/active?
Thank you
John C.
I do not want to get personal, and I can understand the problem might be that. But for what it's worth, I slide upward and to the right with my thumb all the time. I did with Z10 and do it now with Passport. My hands are average, I believe, not real big and not small.
As much as the question and I assume you mean the screen of the application, it is not shortcut I know or can find happening on the screen of the application of any screen.

Question for Hiroto - css user
I redesigned the css for the Spanish and Portuguese CSA web site. I modified your css.
Here's what I came with:
Re: Style sheet for Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese CSA sites user
I have two questions:
(1) I want the 'P' in order to act as 'R' when the window is made narrower. See this web page. Make the windows smaller and larger to see 'P' and 'R' in action.
https://communities.Apple.com/pt/thread/4601
When I do the narrow window the letter P [issue] is scrolled off the right but the letter R [answer] does not work.
P's off to the left
P is visible
(2)
You remember what ASC Web page the effects of this code? I couldn't identify a use of this code.
What is "Community list table"? [jive now decides he wants to put a lot of spaces in this.] who know why]
/* ------------------ Treatment for narrow window Method 1 (minimum optimisation) Adjust community list table's shift and margin to maximize its width. */ /* v0.43 */ /* ------------------ (currently commented out) .j-layout-sl.j-browse-places .j-column-wrap-l { margin-left: -166px !important; } .j-layout-sl.j-browse-places .j-column-l { margin-left: 166px !important; } .j-layout-sl.j-browse-places .j-column-s { width: 166px !important; } ------------------ */ /* ------------------ Treatment for narrow window Method 2 (more beneficial to narrow window but has disadvantage for wide window) Let community list table have full width but not exceed 1019px to make room for sidebar ui (filters & actions). Hello
Well, it took me some time to investigate the new presentation of 2016-06 of the ASC (Japanese, etc). It's really annoying...
You can find my current project CSS below. For better maintainablility, I made new CSS file derived from the previous one for 2014-06 format. Section of the DISPLAY OF THE WIRE CONTENT has been significantly redesigned. It may contain useless residues of the previous, because I have not yet cleaned up seriously.
Moreover, the Q brand in question is placed in a strange way, using the negative zone offset (left:-60px banner), which would be the reason why it behaves well in your settings.
Relevant rules in original CSS:
.j-thread #body-apple .j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 { max-width: 860px; margin: 0px auto 30px; /* <-- left margin is auto, which may be problematic in variable width environment */ } .j-thread .jive-content .j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 .q-marker { position: absolute; top: 0px; left: -60px; /* <-- negative box offset for left side */ font-size: 55px; font-weight: 200; line-height: 1em; }
which I adjusted it as follows:
.j-thread-post section.j-original-message h1 { max-width: inherit !important;; margin: 0px 60px 20px 60px !important;; } .j-original-message h1 .q-marker { left: -60px !important; font-size: 32px !important; }
---
Here's my project. Please feel free to change, adapt, and reuse what you see fit.

Version 0.61: -- Narrow text for printing listing of this file -- Delete "added in" comments about versioning. Seems obvious to me without. -- More fixing of width of content display size of large window. -- Delete @-moz-document special case adjustment for max-width -- Size adjust for thread content and reply for large screens -- Reduce the amount of duplicate code Version 0.62 -- avoid userstyles.org/ error messages -- pacify ASC badges for those who want to enable the code [ Note: Some badges are turned off in 0.63 ] https://discussions.apple.com/message/30002950#30002950 ------> How to get rid of discussion list Badges Lines 115 to 146 <---- Go down find this line of code .j-status-level.expertise-tile { display: none !important; } You need to eliminate the slash / star * before the line of code and the star * slash / after the line of code. To get rid of all badges everywhere, uncomment the next three lines of code. Version 0.63 -- Decided on a minimalist philosophy to focus on reading the posts. -- Don't display badges on list of discussion posts -- Footers should be short not take up a half a page. Uncomment the three lines of code to accomplish this after the "Rambling footer stuff will strink". It is done by setting margin-left and padding-left of main column to 0 and setting max-width of main column, which is currently 1019px. Consequently, if window width is less than 1265px (= 40 (margin-left) + 1019 (main column) + 166 (sidebar colum) + 40 (margin-right)), sidebar column is pushed down or up according to document tree order. This rule set is intended to be useful for normal to narrow window whose width is in range ca. 700-1400px. It can be used for wider window as well but there's no point to set the max-width of main column in order to move sidebar column when the window is wide enough. custom styles for Apple Support Communities board system introduced in 2014-06 (v 0.5) */ /* ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BODY */ body { background: white; min-width: 0px !important; } #body-apple { width: 100% !important; min-width: 0px !important; } /* Text reflow problem with New Activity Content etc. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7517905 Provide work-around. Hi Hiroto,
To remove the badges in the responses of the CSA, I tried, in vain, to insert a single line of code in the new CSS 0.62, in my CSS classes (shown below) CSA. Because I do not wish to use the full 0, 62 - that works to remove the badges - I need to find the appropriate place to insert, if possible, just this one line of code in the CSS that I use.
game-status - level .expertise-tile {display: none! important ;}}
I tried to place, without comment, in any number of places in my current what CSA CSS, but I can't get to work. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
It seems that the line 116 of beginning in the 0.62, in this section.

533 ========================
534
Narrow 535 is basically identical to the above screen browser except that it allows the sidebar
536 (filter column) in mode list be pushed downwards or to the broadband page layout to place the hand
537 column (column of the table) when the window is not wide enough. It is done by setting the margin on the left and
538 padding to the left of the main column to 0 and the setting max-width of the main column, which is currently 1019px.
539 accordingly, if the width of the window is less than 1265px (= 40 (left margin) + 1019 (main column) + 166
540 (sidebar colum) + 40 (right margin)), column of sidebar is pushed downwards or upwards depending on the document
order of the 541 tree. This set of rules is intended to be useful for normal narrow window whose width is in
542 rank CA. 700-1400px. It can be used for wider window as well, but there is no need to define the
543 max-width of the main column to move the sidebar column when the window is wide enough.

5701na stream 7: Stream 7 Kionix sensors and automatic rotation
Hello
I have two tablets of 5701na 7 stream, that were running Windows 8.1. I did a clean install of Windows 10 on both. "E/s of sensor devices" section in Device Manager shows the device of the accelerometer is installed and functional. "Sensors" section shows the 'Kionix Fusion of sensors' device, but this device is marked with an exclamation point, and indicates the status of the device that the "device could not start, error 10". "
I tried the original commercial version of Windows 10 Pro N and the latest Version 1511. I also tried the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 drivers on HP website. I tried various downloads of individual drivers (inf25 and inf24) and install the devices manually as legacy material. Even when the devices appear to install correctly, 'Sensor of Fusion Kionix' device stop with error 10, usually in a few minutes. And I tried all the combinations on the two tablets, just in case it was defective. The two tablets were turning correctly when running Windows 8.1.
Everything works as expected, including modes of Tablet and desktop computer and the Windows button that switches between the display of tasks and the office. But in Control Panel-> display and in "all the settings-> devices-> display" settings there is no list drop-down or turn on or off for auto-rotation.
I installed and re-installed the OS at least a dozen times, trying different driver combinations in different orders, but the sensor Fusion won't stay not just active. Has anyone else had the same problem? Windows 10 is better suited to the Tablet, and I'd be disappointed to return to Windows 8. 1.
Thank you.Turns out be the version "n" to win 10. The "n" version not supported the pilot of Kionix, while the "n" version is apparently not. As far as I can make out, the "n" version does not install the required driver update framework. The driver seems to run through all the options, but it is not actually install the driver correctly. With a version "n" not to win 10, driver installation takes about 10 seconds, the part of driver framework seems not to be triggered and the package successfully installed / active detection devices. If you plan to install Win 10 Pro, remember to insert EI.cfg and PID.txt files in your USB image, substitute the Win 8.1 home activation key which is burned in the BIOS.

Hello
I recently reinstalled XP Home after accident after the installation of SP3. I tried the clean install, no problems until the end of the 30-day activation period; to be honest didn't know that I needed too, but that's another story.
After management reset the counter of 30 days, finally reconnected to XP, went through the SP3 update process ok, reboot ok, then tried Windows Update - re not headed to activation options... no problem, I have all the original disks, here's the problem though.
I have to go through
, then choose "Activate Windows" then... pop-up windows opens, blue background with title bar gray where it says activate Windows, but there is no option menu on screen? all I get are two. In each upper corner gif images (tells usually unloaded image on a web page)... and that's it, nadda, nothing else rises.
I tried all the solutions on the Win Help pages (kb314935) and some other techy here guys (topics: Windows XP Home Activation window fails to run a repair... and the Article ID: 312295)
I tried all of the following commands in the order...
Regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
Regsvr32.exe licdll.dll
C:\Windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /AI ran across the "fix" WPAEvents, which does not work either...
I rang the activation help desk United Kingdom who advised it wasn't their problem because I wasn't getting the option to activate by phone, so they gave me the number of the UK tech support... and of course they do not work beyond 18:00 or weekend (grrr) so I rang the support American number and after 10 minutes of blocking and accumulating of my phone bill they say "we support only from the USA and Canada, team support to try to the United Kingdom"... aaaaahhhhhhh
So what someone has any ideas that don't involve repair XP as I did this one to death.
See you soon,.
Alum
I had this same problem. Tried to repair windows xp with a slipstream sp3 and still no success. I found solutions by creating a new fake profile that created a new record for this user, and the correct activation window came and was successfully able to activate it.

You should give up on the retail packaging, because they will carry a premium.
OEM packages are recommended.
Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.
Full version (retail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-Does not require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive
Upgrade version (detail):
-Includes the rights of transfer to another computer.
-require a qualifying earlier version of Windows.
-Expensive, but less expensive full version
OEM System Builder version:
The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:
-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft
-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on
-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard
-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
There is nothing wrong to use it too, especially that all future versions of Windows will be full versions.

I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.
-J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.
-J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.
-This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.
-Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?
-Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.
This raises several questions:
-In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?
-Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?
-What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?
-What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).
-How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.
Could someone explain what is exactly happening?
With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.
My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.
If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.
All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".
~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.
I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

You probably bought an iPhone stolen 6. Mine was stolen in Barcelona in Spain on June 10 by a pick-pocket. Fortunately, there is absolutely nothing you can do to make an iPhone locked to the activation of the work. You have a paper weight.

Hello djpianalto, you could delete the default settings for firefox on android in the control panel (as described in this external article).
