XPath question
my xml file format is
<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >
" < entity-maps xmlns =" http://www.Eclipse.org/EclipseLink/XSDs/persistence/ORM "" xmlns: xsi = " http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance " xsi: schemaLocation = " http://www.Eclipse.org/EclipseLink/XSDs/Persistence/ORM http://www.eclipse.org/eclipselink/xsds/eclipselink_orm_2_4.xsd" > ""
< entity class = "com.ofss.fc.domain.account.entity.accountcreditmatrix.CreditMetricDetails" >
< table name = "FLX_AC_ACCT_CREDIT_MATRIX_DTLS" / >
<>attributes
< attribute id integrated type = "com.ofss.fc.domain.account.entity.accountcreditmatrix.CreditMetricDetailsKey" name = "key" >
< name of the attribute-override = "accountId" >
< column name = "ID_compte" / >
< / attribute-override >
< name of the attribute-override 'accountType' = >

< column name = "MATRIX_ID_VALUE" / >
< / attribute-override >
< name of the attribute-override 'grading' = >
< column name = "Ranking" / >
< / attribute-override >
< / integrated id >
I would like to print attribute-override and value of the column.
I tried
String expression = "/ entity-mappings/entity/table/@name";
It works very well
output FLX_AC_ACCT_CREDIT_MATRIX_DTLS
If I go down a level
String expression = "/ entity-mappings/entity/table/attributes/embedded-id/attribute-override/@name";
It will print the value of the attribute-override
Please can I know the question
Thank you.
This is because the attributes of the tag are not nested within the table tag.
This should work:
String expression = "/entity-mappings/entity/attributes/embedded-id/attribute-override/@name";
Good bye

Syntax of XPATH query question
Hi people.
Have a read of the documentattion, but maybe I'm missing something subtle.
Given the following XML code (extract)
I publish the SQL code following, but do not get any value returned.<?xml version="1.0" ?> - <IndividualAnnex xmlns="https://infocentre.gsm.org/TADIG-RAEX-AA14" xmlns:tadig-gen="https://infocentre.gsm.org/TADIG-GEN" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="https://infocentre.gsm.org/TADIG-RAEX-AA14 tadig-raex-aa14-3.0.xsd"> - <ContactInformationList> - <Contact contactInformationID="111"> - <ContactPerson> <tadig-gen:GivenName>Joe</tadig-gen:GivenName> <tadig-gen:FamilyName>Bloggs</tadig-gen:FamilyName> - <tadig-gen:PhoneFixList> <tadig-gen:PhoneFix>888888888888</tadig-gen:PhoneFix> </tadig-gen:PhoneFixList> - <tadig-gen:FaxList> <tadig-gen:Fax>9999999999999</tadig-gen:Fax> </tadig-gen:FaxList> - <tadig-gen:EmailList> <tadig-gen:Email>[email protected]</tadig-gen:Email> </tadig-gen:EmailList> </ContactPerson> </Contact>
What would be the SQL if, for example, I wanted to return the "GivenName" of Joe?SELECT extract(v2.individual_annex,'IndividualAnnex/ContactInformationList[Contact/@contactInformationID="111"]/ContactPerson/@GivenName') FROM raex_annex_3_0_v2 v2 WHERE v2.agreement_id = 1
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much
Kind regards
Simon GaddTry:
IndividualAnnex/ContactInformationList/Contact\[@contactInformationID="111"\]/ContactPerson/t:GivenName
This expression puts the predicate on the Contact item. In your speech, that the predicate is placed on the ContactInformationList, the element parent contact and, therefore, you get always all Contact items returned, because they share the same parent.

Given this XML structure.
text 1
text 2
text 3
How I would write an xpath statement to return the
cmd attribute for a single element of found? For example, if the text 2 is found then return 'b'... If text 1 is found then return 'a'... you get the idea... I need the attribute parent of a child element that is found.
TIA
Hello FunkyMonk,
This site talks about how to choose the parent of an element in an XML expression:

Question 11.1.1.7 BPM JDev human task Auto layout or display generation
It's strange. I've seen such a question to the oracle forum that has not yet responded. I have this problem only with JDev 11.1.1.7 and not with JDev 11.1.1.5. It is a brand new facility. I have eliminated all other facilities. Including the windows registry. This has (pcbpel_bundle.zip) SOA and bpm (bpm_bundle.zip). However, I have 12 separate installed c.
The problem causes a taskDetail.jspx from a human task results in the layout box style based framework. Am not ADF person but it is necessary to show my BPM user task.
Help, please. Details on the number below:

I am able to solve this problem. After a series of R & D, I have found that the cause is % APPDATA%\jdeveloper. Remove the appropriate directory will solve this problem. In fact, I tried to remove the directory integer jdeveloper under %APPDATA%\protector.exe and the generation of form jdev 11.1.1.7 problem solved. Those who find the question of the "referential integrity" can follow this approach.

Hi all
Requirement:
Set due date should she take the load of entry date and subtract a few days after the given date.
For this purpose in human Task in time-> requested Action before, I tried to give the date of duration by using expression as: xp20:subtract - dayTimeDuration-from-dateTime(/ns0:Date,'P2D') - xp20:current-dateTime() as we know that long is the difference of two dates.
But I got the following error:
< faultInfo > exception.code:30046
exception.type: ERROR
exception. Severity: 2
exception. Name: error in the routing slip.
exception. Description: the expiration specified in the routing slip could not be assessed. The error is java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: NaN. The routing slip is associated with the task definition test/DuedateExpression!1.0/Humantask.
exception. FIX: make sure that the time-out time is correct. The value must conform to the duration specification XML.
Then I tried to give the following expression:
xsd:DateTime(XP20:Subtract-dayTimeDuration-from-DateTime(/ns0:date,'P2D')) - xsd:dateTime (xp20:current - dateTime ()) - this phrase when it is used in XSL given duration.
When he is still used even in Xpath expression once was an error.
Then tried to add "xsd" namespace in the source code of human task for the routing slip that also work force.
In the Xpath expression builder, Date functions have only dateTime functions, but the result we want is a 'life '.
Thank you
Tilquin.
Hi Tilquin,
I think that you run the same question which exists in 11g when dealing with time-outs for human tasks.
You would think that do you might work to arrive at a period of time, but the format should be as XML to a period of time (for example, "P2DT12H8M").
Although there is an XPath expression that works for the timer limit event activity (select the option "Hours" of the timer event and add a logic similar to this: ' xp20:add - dayTimeDuration-to-dateTime (xp20:current - dateTime (), 'PT1M') "" "), this will not work for the deadline of the task of the human.
The only option you have is to put it in XML format for a time period when you enter a due date for a human task. I wouldn't go with you if you said it should work, but you will not be able to subtract two date variables to the time period and you will not be able to use a data function XPath. You simply must have a string as XML ("P2DT12H8M").
I've heard of people trying to create this string using XSLT, but the only way I've seen this done successfully is to create the string using Java.

Reg: Difference between XQuery and XPath:
Hi Experts,
I tried google on this subject and read a few articles but found no adequate explanation or may not be able to understand.
Of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/924551/difference-between-xpath-xquery-and-xpointer
In general, XPath is a language used to locate accurate XML nodes in a DOM succinctly. XQuery is a superset of XPath which also provides FLWOR sytnax, which is similar to SQL. Finally, XPointer includes XPath, but also provides a simple model to address based on the post.
It is also a good read - what is XQuery?
Any other pointers? According to my understanding, both are used for the XMLs, like the SQL query for relational data. But if the two are similar, what is the reasoning behind the two different technologies?
Please share your ideas in this regard.
Kind regards
-Nordine

Basic functions?

Typing?

"Transforming data" - you mean CFDS on XML data, right?
More like SQL, but there is no strict equivalence.
Given that XML is self-descriptive language, transforming one XML document into another also means the metadata change.
This is where the concept of XML schema.What language do technical FLWOR come - XQuery or XPath?
XQuery.
For example:
for $i in/root/point [1] / value
where $i/@uom = 'kg '.
Return to{data ($i)} applied to this XML document:
123
will return this sequence:
123 Here, / root/point [1] / value is an XPath expression (which is also an XQuery expression) but the construction of FLWOR is strictly XQuery.

Question about permissions on vCo 4.2.1
Hello
I'm having a problem where the user can see more information and vCo should be possible on his account.
I have a user named "Test" with a vm folder named 'Test' read-only permissions and execute permissions on the workflow 'Research vm'.
When I run this workflow I would expect to find only vm in this folder.
The workflow includes following the code to search for the virtual machine:
XPath = "xpath:name [begin with(.,'"+ pattern +"')]; var
machines virtual var = new Array();
VM = VcPlugin.getAllVirtualMachines (null, xpath);
This workflow returns however each vm you are looking for on the vCenter server when run with the test account, as he is an admin account.
For example it returns the virtual computer object with vm-1177 as id and can see all the information and even to launch new tasks.
When I navigate to https://vCenter/mob/?moid=vm-1177 with the test account all fields are disabled.
My guess is that the only controls vCo if the user has the Execute permission but running the workflow with the admin account.
Or I do something wrong? And it is even possible to check if an account is authorized to obtain certain information?
I found this article in the Ko, but he has not answered my question: VMware KB: introduction to security Orchestrator
Thanks in advance
Thibaut Noben
The results received by this workflow will depend on how you have configured vCenter plug-in... If a session shared, then the results of the workflow (regardless of who is connected to vCO) will be based on the credentials used for the session shared to vCenter... If each user is configured, then results are supposed to based on the credentials of the logged-on user because those are those sent to vCenter.
-
I guess that if the question is marked as answer, nobody has no interest left against it.
So I repost this as a new question.
Is it possible to use XPath expressions to find nodes XML with XML plugin?
Examples if this is possible?
Thank you.
PS. somewhere on the forum I saw the answer in a year or a few years ago that XPath is supported by Orchestrator, but the person who promised to find the time to show some examples very probably forgot to do.
Find an introduction to the equivalent E4X and xpath for E4X here: http://wso2.org/project/mashup/0.2/docs/e4xquickstart.html
Just E4X amortization is true for support in browsers. E4X is part of the standard javascript, it will not go away in vCO.
See you soon,.

There "and" lowercase:
/ bookstore/book [price<40 and="">40><>
If I may ask another site to start learning: Tutorials of XQuery
And of course, the W3C recommendation official, always useful to get information about the base language: http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery/
For the Oracle specifics, see DB XML Dev Guide:
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/AppDev.112/e23094/xdb_xquery.htm
Also, as you should know by now, this kind of questions belong to the forum DB XML or XQuery forum (for a general discussion of the language).

Hi all
I get this error when my XML with an XSD validation using Oracle
XMTYPE variable.schemavalidate ();
ORA-30992: an error has occurred to Xpath ready, CstmrCdtTrfInitn, GrpHdr, CreDtTm
ORA-01830: date format picture ends before converting all of the input string
I have the following XML generated which is having an element with time zone time-stamped in it.
Total on the XML data:
< TransactionFile CreationDate = "" 2013-09 - 02T 16: 47:32 + 01:00 "entity"TEST"= >"
I'm against an XSD validation then that apply to a style sheet and using Oracle XMLTRANSFORM
The stylesheet has the following code (code XSLT):
"< CreDtTm > < xsl: value-of select="@CreationDate "/ > < / CreDtTm >
The XML is properly validated and transformed in the final XML output, but for some reason it adds any fraction to my such date as displayed below:
< CreDtTm > 2013 - 09 - 05T 16: 40:44.000000 + 01:00 < / CreDtTm >
I'm finally validate this output with a predefined standard XSD, where the CredtTm is defined as a datetime variable
< xs: element name = "CreDtTm" type = "ISODateTime" / >
ISODateTime is of type datetime
< xs:simpleType name = "ISODateTime" >
< xs:restriction base = "XS: DateTime" / >
< / xs:simpleType >
Thanks for reading so far. Near here the real problem
I'm posting this in my Oracle pakaged procedure, using the v_pain_xmldata.schemavalidate (); (variable v_pain_xmldata is an XMLTYPE variable)
During the validation of the XML with this XSD it fails with the above error
Can someone let me know why it's a failure? Because we have the final zone as in my XML output format in the w3school standard
http://www.w3schools.com/schema/schema_dtypes_date.asp
I tried different dates hardcoing in my XML final to see which element in the date is a failure and here are the results. I think that when I add the minus sign hrs it is a failure
2013-09 - 02T 16: does not work 47:32 + 01:00 -
2013-09 - 02T 16: 47:32 - does not work 01:00 -
2013-09-02 16:47:32 - does not work2013-09-02 - works
2013-09 - 02T 16: 47:32 - works
2013-09 - 02T 16: 47:32.000000 - worksI'm using Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production
For the record, I can't edit the XSD to add anything into it like that< xdb:SQLType XS: attribute = "TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE' name ="CreationDate"type =" xs: DateTime "use ="required"/ >"
As this is a standard XSD SEPA provided by the customer and therefore no changes can be made for her.
I have only option for me is to modify the stylesheet to probably enter a format to convert the date in datetime format, however, the above generated output is a valid datetime format.
Any question, please get back to me. Would appreciate any help on getting this problem sorted.
Thanks in advace.

Documaker: How to use this trigger to overflow and XPath.
Hello
My first question, please help me!
I create a form as follows.
A page is set to overflow with group.
______________________
Page (Body)
Group
* Trigger manual Mask (Count) of research:! / xxx/data/RiskInfo/risk
Section header
Section-A
* Trigger manual search Mask(True/false):! / xxx/data/RiskInfo/risk [*] [Code = 'A']
Section-B
* Trigger manual search Mask(True/false):! / xxx/data/RiskInfo/risk [*] [Code = 'B']
End group
______________________
The XML code example is as follows.
.....
< RiskInfo >
< risk >
< code > < code > A
< name > XXX < / name >
< / risk >
< risk >
B < code > < code >
< name > YYY < / name >
< / risk >
< / RiskInfo >
.....
______________________
Overflow is no problem.
But the Section A and Section B triggers are not worked.
This setting of relaxation Section has poster-twice.
I understand that [*] is false, because it is working OK if I replace [*] [1] or [2].
But I do not understand the correct method...
Probably, I think I need to use the OverFlowSymbol.
Where should I put the OverFlowSymbol? This thought does not?
Please teach me the method works this trigger to overflow and XPath.
Thank youYou should be able to use the overflow user @subform in your xpath to define the correct index based on the current subform.
You can try something like:
! /XXX/data/RiskInfo/risk[**@subform**]/name
You can find more information on handling overflow with XML in the DMStudio user guide (Appendix B are provided in subsection 12.1 Rel) and function of the @subform in the section Sub user forms of the document.

With the help of the variable? operator in an XPath Expression
I try using the operator variable (?) in an Oracle statement used in a prepared where query clause. This is the query:
This code works when the? is replaced by 'aValue '. I need to use the? so that my Java client can pass a variable value in the query.select xt.APPLICATION_NAME, xt.VERSION, xt.EVENT_TYPE, xt.SENDING_SITE, xt.RECEIVING_SITE, xt.EVENT_ID from AUDITED_EVENT_XML_MIN e, XMLTable(XMLNAMESPACES('http://gov/va/med/datasharing/audit/endpoint/audit' AS "xae"), '/xae:auditable-event' PASSING e.xml_event_content COLUMNS APPLICATION_NAME VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:application-name', VERSION VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:version', EVENT_TYPE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:event-type', SENDING_SITE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:xml-event-content/*/MSH/MSH.4/HD.2', RECEIVING_SITE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:xml-event-content/*/MSH/MSH.6/HD.2', EVENT_ID VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:xml-event-content/*/MSH/MSH.10') xt where existsNode(E.XML_EVENT_CONTENT, '/xae:auditable-event[xae:event-type=?]','xmlns:xae="http://gov/va/med/datasharing/audit/endpoint/audit"') = 1
Is this a sustainable feature or I do something wrong?
I've seen examples in the Guide of the Oracle XML DB Developer where there was a? in an XPath expression.
I also tried '? "with the same question...
Here is the version information:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.SQL*Plus: Release 11.1.0.6.0 - Production on Mon Sep 10 18:41:55 2012 Copyright (c) 1982, 2007, Oracle. All rights reserved. Connected to: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production With the Partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options
Thanks in advance...Can someone tell me whether or not he is a legal substitution?
No, this is not legal.
? defines a placeholder for a variable binding, that of all he can do, binds a variable (value) at run time, it does not handle identifiers and especially the moving parts of the code.
You can use the concatenation to add the code fragment:
" ... AND " + myFilter + " ... remaining for the query string"
BTW, I see you are trying to create a paging query, but the ORDER BY is moved, it must be in the innermost query, not at the same level as ROWNUM:
SELECT PK_ID, EVENT_TYPE, OUTCOME, SENDING_SITE, RECEIVING_SITE, CREATED_TIME, EVENT_ID, PATIENT_ID FROM ( SELECT rownum as rn, PK_ID, EVENT_TYPE, OUTCOME, SENDING_SITE, RECEIVING_SITE, CREATED_TIME, EVENT_ID, PATIENT_ID FROM ( SELECT aet.AUDITABLE_EVENT_XML_PK_ID AS PK_ID, xt.EVENT_TYPE, xt.OUTCOME, xt.SENDING_SITE, xt.RECEIVING_SITE, aet.CREATED_TIME as CREATED_TIME, xt.EVENT_ID, xt.PATIENT_ID FROM AUDITABLE_EVENT_XML aet, XMLTable(XMLNAMESPACES('http://gov/va/med/datasharing/audit/endpoint/audit' AS "xae"), '/xae:auditable-event' PASSING aet.xml_event_content COLUMNS EVENT_TYPE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:event-type', SENDING_SITE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:sending-site', RECEIVING_SITE VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:receiving-site', EVENT_ID VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:event-id', PATIENT_ID VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:patient-id', OUTCOME VARCHAR2(255) PATH 'xae:outcome' ) xt WHERE aet.CREATED_TIME BETWEEN ? Hello
I'm writing a query of XPath syntax to retrieve some specific child nodes in a loop (in PLSQL) the following excerpt of the document...
<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf-8"? >

What I'm trying to do is to retrieve only products associated with a given hostname, but I came with xpath query returns ALL the products for the entire document.
I use the following code
XPath.SelectNodes(doc,'/request/TargetServers/TargetServer/Products/PRODUCT');
I think it is back correctly (in the above example) all the nodes of three products.
My question is how do the xpath query select only the nodes for a specific host name given?
I tried to add a HN attribute to the TARGETSERVER node and then using the following syntax
XPath.SelectNodes(doc,'/request/TargetServers/TargetServer[@HN="HN1"]/Products/PRODUCT');
but it does not work...
Any other suggestions gratefully received.
Thank youHello
Based on the example of document you provided, this should work:
/Request/TargetServers/TargetServer[HARDWARE/HOSTNAME="HNSS1"]/PRODUCTS/PRODUCT
I use the following code
XPath.SelectNodes(doc,'/request/TargetServers/TargetServer/Products/PRODUCT');
You said you are using PL/SQL, but it's not a Java method?

Hey Odie,
Hope you answer this simple query for me. I am not able to find any question, but it doesn't load the data in the custom table. Please tell me where in fact it's bad for me.

Question referencing Variables
Hello
Can someone explain to me what's the use of the @ sign when you reference a variable in Workbench?
For example: /process_data/@myVar
Sometimes you need to use it, sometimes you don't have, sometimes Workbench adds for you, but you should not use it, I'm confused.
If you have a link to the help online explaining this, would be great.
Thank you
NIC
The @ symbol is used to get the value of a node when it's a simple data type (string, int, long, etc.).
At one point the variables converted internally in a xml structure. That's why we can use xPath to obtain the value.
If you have a simple type, which can return a single value (string, int, long, etc.), then you use the symbol @.
If you have a complex object (e.g. FormsResult), so it depends what node question you. If you want to get the value of the action the xPath will be process_data/test/object/@action. You get the @action, because it returns a string for this property.
If you want a list of the attachents, the XPath is/process_data/test/object/attachments. The attachments property does not contain an @ because that is not a simple type, but a complex type (list of attachments).
Also the xml variable is considered to be a complex type.
I have never known a case when the Workbench is added the @ and I didn't need to use it. Let me know if you have a specific example.
